For people playing on a console there has been a bug in CAS for a long time where the buttons on the controller quit working. It’s a cas issue only and it’s extremely aggravating because there’s no way to save and the only option is to close out of the game and lose all progress. Would love to see this fixed at some point.
Soon as my game loads it plays for 30 seconds and then all buttons on the controller stop working. Can't even pause the game. Tired resetting a number of times but no fix.
Its not CAS only for me. It happens as soon as I load a household to play.
No it is also a PS5 issue
Having this problem as well although its not exclusive to CAS it happens all the time during live and build mode as well it happens either frequently or infrequently I know its the game and not the control cause I have to problems with it on any other games
This issue used to happen every now and then, but it is starting to happen more and more. When I go into CAS to create a new sim or edit existing ones, the buttons on my controller are not recognized randomly. I could be almost done with my sim and have to close the entire game because none of the buttons on my controller will do anything to the game. The game is not frozen; my sim is still moving and I can use my joysticks. I just can’t click anything or bring up the menu. It is super frustrating.
So when building or selecting items I now can't press o (back) to go back into the catalogue. It's done this a few times over the years but usually gets fixed with an update but it's been like this for months now making the game totally unplayable. As someone who enjoys the game and has spent a decent amount on expansions this is highly frustrating.
Hey, I just updated my Sims 4 today and like, tried to create a new sim in CAS. Initially controls responded until I selected the sim’s body the all I could do was move around the joycon on the remote. No other buttons worked.
On PS4, Updated to the December 4th update last night (21.12.25) and was in CAS putting a beard on my sim and when I zoomed in on his face to stop him from moving around all my controls stopped working, the cursor was on the screen but my analog sticks stopped working and I couldn't back out of CAS. I had to hit the PlayStation home button on my controller and quit the application that way, I couldn't even bring up the menu by pressing the Options button on my controller to exit game or return to main menu as nothing worked. This is my first ever time experiencing this bug.
