So the memory boost thing from the patch notes didn't help the crashing at all? I was gonna download my game again but guess I won't bother.

For me personally the crashing is not instantaneous as it was prior to the update, I was actually able to load in to do something, clicked go to manage worlds when I was done and it didn't crash as it usually would as expected, the forced readjustment of graphic settings mechanism however is still causing everything to become very blurry, and loading screens will often do that more frequently to this game unfortunately here on console, the game still crashes after a while, but please don't think for a moment that there's not room for even more improvement still.

Were you able to save consistently without it crashing?

My game has been crashing in live mode every 5 minutes since the update. Build mode is working fine but live mode is unplayable with these constant crashes. I even started a new save file and that's crashing out too. Literally every 5 human minutes it's crashing in live mode. It's literally unplayable. I'm on ps5 so this is NOT a mod or CC issue. I'm fed up of being told I have a broken mod WHEN I can't even use them on console

Hi GothGirlTess lilbecci MisterBellum can you share a bit more detail on what exactly you're doing when the crash happens- are you traveling, saving your game, building etc?

So ya'll marked a year old thread with thousands of comments and hundreds of upvotes as fixed when nothing has actually been fixed?

Everytime I'm playing my Sims 4 game after playing for about 30 to 40 minutes my game will crash. Doesn't matter if I play online or offline. It will also crash when I try to do a save. Most times if it lets me save the game I have to do the save in build/buy mode. It will also crash after auto adjusting the graphics. I have tried every fix suggested on your website. Sims 4 is my favorite game of all the games I own, but I have gotten so frustrated I have just stopped playing. I'm very disappointed because I have been playing Sims games or EA games and Xbox for years. I have done all the updates, and I'm still having the same issues.

Clearly my other last response got deleted for calling out getting another response of mine moved to another thread, but I've got more helpful info that's hopefully differently so enough which I'm therefore hoping my response isn't deleted or moved to another thread yet again, so now, I haven't been playing too much since the very last update, but the best I can explain this live mode crashing situation is that while this game doesn't crash as constantly as it did prior to the memory boost update, in live mode, and while the lagging stuttering has stopped, looking through family trees, contacts, changing outfits, saving, having a sim that's a level 10 knowledgeable homestyle cooker and owning every single pack like myself that adds more recipe options, living in a neighborhood and lot that has too many objects for the game to handle, pretty much anything that needs to load without the main blue loading screens involved, as this game tends on drinking up the memory even crazily much faster that will frequently trigger more frequent forced readjustment of graphic settings mechanism screens and therefore lowering quality on objects, so overall even though the memory boost update has improved performances and made crashes less constantly overwhelming, the certain things I mentioned are draining the memory too much faster, if all the performance tweaks that were added back into the game during mid 2024 since they slowly became undone earlier 2025 and then were added with the memory boost update, the game would probably be more enjoyable to play without all these memory issues being so very constant as they still unfortunately are for those with big saves like myself, I'm not trying to make this response entirely about the forced readjustment of graphic settings mechanism we unfortunately currently still have here on console, but it's just simply connected considering it only triggers whenever memory gets too low.

Im officially done with trash heap of a game
Waited well over a year for you to get this game remotely playable again I had a good 5 or 6 days of albeit spotty gameplay then as of last night I can barely get 2 minuets of gamplay befor yup you guessed it crashes
Not to mention the fact this amazing backup save feature you bosted and advertised Is completely inaccessible to console players because the floppy disc icon to accesses it doesn't appear.
I absolutely refuse to wait another year for you people to attempt to acknowledge that console players are yet again stuck with an unplayble product. There was me foolishly beliving this was finally a semi playerble game and decided to purchase some dlc only to have your game once again spit in my face and stealing cash for something that is constantly doomed to fail because heaven forbid you actually released a next gen version of this game may actually have some chance of actually functioning in this supremely outdated coded game
