Checkerboard Skin
Hi all, Anyone have an idea what could be causing this? I was playing Sims (my main/only save file - approx. 2 yrs. old) on 20 March 2025 and in the middle of the game the "Quality of Life Fixes for Business & Hobbies" installed itself. From that point on, I now have one Sim with "skin problems". Up until the game patch he was fine, then - in the middle of game play - now sort of 'checkerboard'. All of my other Sims (ca. 200+) appear normal. I tried repairing the game via Steam. Removed all CC from the Mods folder, which that one Sim was either wearing or using. No matter what I try, I can't get him back to normal. Just to see what would happen, I saved the household to my library and then placed them into a completely different save (one I only use for 'experiments' and where don't save any changes). Strangely, in that save he appears perfectly normal. Also placed the household in a completely new save. Again, my Sim appears normal. My main save, the second save and the new save all have the exact same CC/Mods. In the main save his skin is glitched - but in both the second and the new save he appears normal. I play on a (fairly new) laptop with a Nvidia 4090 mobile / AMD Ryzen 9 - 7945HX and 1,81 TB of free space left, so there shouldn't be any hardware problems. Any ideas what could be causing this.....???? He's one of my main Sims and I'd hate to lose him......... Thanks in advance, AlexMy game is completely broken!!
After the new update my game broke and I feel like I have tried every solution out there but now I’m just stuck. I’ll list all my problems and how i’ve tried to fix it. My game won’t load any script mods at all only cc despite having both cc and script mods turned on. I did apply the changes and tried again but still didn’t work. My game is registering old cc that I have deleted. I tried moving all mods (being careful not to move anything that needs to be in the folder to work) and adding them back in to the mods folder slowly to find a broken one but it does nothing. It just keeps loading the same deleted cc that isn’t even in my mods folder anymore. I even checked my one drive to make sure all the old mods were deleted but it still only shows this cc. Keep in mind at this point I have deleted everything from my mods folder and one drive. I read that sometimes deleting the mods folder helps create a new one by turning off cc, exit, turn on cc, exit, and then try the game again but a new folder didn’t appear. I have also tried repairing the game and uninstalling and reinstalling the game. All of my previous saves were deleted the first time I opened the game after the update before doing anything. I have since started a new game to determine more issues and now I can’t do cheats at all. I’m completely and feel like my game is so broken. I now have no mods folder and what feels like a broken game. Any help would help so incredibly helpful!!Last Exception Error in The Sims 4 Folder

i can’t link my ea account to my psn account because my psn account is linked to my old ea account from like madden 12. usually when it gave me the screen to validate the login, i could just back out and put in the new account and it would work fine. all of a sudden, since about 4-5 days ago, it won’t let me put in the new one. every time i back out of the verification screen, it says “ea servers are down …..” can’t login to my old EA account because the main email has been deactivated and i can’t reuse it. please help. i’ve spent about $300 plus the game just on cfb 25 and i would hate to lose that or have to make a whole new account just to keep it12Views0likes1CommentCharged twice by EA and nowhere to apply for refund!!!!
So I purchased the Sims 4 to rent pack - which I love! however, when I looked at my bank account EA has charged me twice for the same game. I have looked through so many different ways to contact them. I have tried the little bot on the side, I have tried to go to the "refund form" page. However, because it is outside of the 24 hours it comes up that I don't have anything that can be refunded!! Whenever I follow the suggestions on the EA help website it just takes me to my "view order history" and honestly, I'm so frustrated at this point. I just want my money back, How hard should it be!?! I’m trying to play UFC 5 online on my PS5, but I’m running into a frustrating issue. When I try to link my PlayStation Network account with PSN ID: LRin713, to my EA account , also LRin713, I get an error message about something being disabled. It says lime Ob***@disables.ea.com or something . (I posted the screenshot) The thing is, I haven’t played any EA games or linked anything since probably 2012, and as far as I know, the account I’m using now is the only EA account I’ve ever had. I think it got disabled b/c of inactivity. But I am logged into it right now posting this so the whole thing doesn't make sense. I tried chatting with EA support but bc of connection issues I left the chat, and now the chat feature just doesn't even come up. Because of this, I can’t play UFC 5 online, and there’s no way for me to unlink or fix it myself. I can’t access the supposed “old” EA account because I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist or it’s the same one I’m already using. Can someone from EA help manually unlink my PSN LRin713 from this disabled account, or clarify what’s going on? I just want to be able to play online again. To preface - this forum seems to be mainly offering support to the end-users of mods, not the creators. If anyone knows of a forum/server/etc. centred around the creation of mods, I'd sell my soul to get into it! And apologies if I'm in the wrong place, in advance! I've been working for a couple of weeks on a tuning mod focused around new content for horses (illness, farriery, better competitions etc.) It's been going really well, but I'm doing... something wrong when writing the XML. I've written an SI and injected it into the phone to run Adventure Moments that control the means of actually rewarding certain buffs/features/etc. The Main SI seems fine to my eyes, and I can't see anything majorly wrong with the way I've written the Adventure tuning (in both the AdventureMoment snippets and the SI basic extras itself.) But I cannot get more than one adventure moment to play sequentially. In the Initial adventure, I'm using the Next Moments tunable, and then putting the key of the next adventure moment I want to play in it. I've tried writing it from scratch using the TDESC, Lot 51's builder, and copying relevant extracted tuning from the game. I'm clearly missing something, because despite all that, every time I select the button that ought to start the next Adventure Moment, nothing happens. I don't think there's anything horrendously wrong with the Adventure Moments, as if I put the second one as the Initial for the adventure, it shows up just fine. I can get either of them to show so long as they're tuned in the _initial_moments block. But trying to get one to load the other through next_moments does... nothing. I'm definitely missing something here, but browsing extracted tunings (and the rest of the internet) hasn't turned up anything helpful. Ran the Sims with Scumbumbo's Log Enabler several times with every iteration/attempt and searched all the relevant logs for errors/issues (as far as I can tell, there isn't anything obvious, though I can't claim to really know what I'm doing) At this point I think I'm missing something more fundamental, or maybe misunderstanding Adventure Moments entirely? But I can't for the life of me work out exactly what is going wrong in my thought process/tuning. At this point I'm wondering if I just have to scrap the idea of doing it through adventures entirely and implement it in a different way, but I'm super attatched to how personable and well-suited the Adventure tuning is to what I want to do... in theory. I've been writing the XMLs mostly from scratch in VS Code using S4TK, not the Mod Constructor, so any advice geared towards the latter I'm afraid I won't be able to benefit from.B button won’t work in build mode after clicking an item
When I go into build mode on the Sims 4 and click on an item to place it, if I decide I no longer want to place the item and click B to go back, it doesn’t work. I thought it was my controller at first, but the B button works any other time I try and click it except for then. I’ve tried restarting my xbox, restarting the Sims and restarting my controller but nothing has worked. Any advice?
