Battlefield 5 Slow Startup and Long Loading Time
TL;DR: After some BIOS and Windows updates, Battlefield V now takes 3 minutes to launch on my HP Omen 16 laptop. Once in-game, the maps load slowly, but no other noticeable issue are found. Hello everyone, I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my Omen 16 laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching Battlefield V now takes significantly longer than it used to. I timed it: the startup consistently takes around 5 minutes. Only Battlefield V is affected—other games like Battlefield 3 & 4 and War Thunder launch just fine. Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat window launches and initializes normally. Once the anti-cheat finishes, there's a delay of about 2.5 minutes before the game window appears. When the window does show up, it's titled "Frostbite" for several seconds. The title then changes to "Battlefield V", but the window remains black and minimized for another 20–25 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Ran both the EA App and BF5 as administrator and also tried launching them in clean boot mode. Performed a clean reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; also cleared the DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" option in Windows 11. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. Loop Loading map HZ
In Hasard zone, Yesterday we had the loading map loop issue with discarded and today with renewal. No choice to restart the game… is this a crossplay issue? It seems to be with PC users, because my friends on consoles when they try to start a HZ game with only consoles players they can load any servers! but as soon there’s a pc player in the squad, when we start a game it only start the same map with the loop problem, yesterday discarded and today renewal. Every 2 days we have a problem with this issue. will this be fixed for good any time soon?
Rsvp issue (EA customer support told me to post here)
Hi there i need some help, so i got picked for this upcoming battlefield playtest and i got an email saying i needed to rsvp and do the survey to get in, but when i click the button it takes me to the ea playtest site but theres no survey to do or anything. A while back i was able to get into the battlefield stress test but i had to change emails since it was with an old email i had no access to and i was able to change it to my new one and get into the test. Now im wondering if the survey got sent to that old email or something. Either way i did get the email on my new email about being invited to this next playtest i just cant do the survey i need help.
Exodus party bug
System Info: EA app BF2042, Windows 11 latest build with no pending windows updates, RTX4080, Ryzen 5800X, 64GB DDR4, 4TB 990Pro for games storage... The issue: It started when I left and joined a party (of us 4) multiple times because the game didn't pull me in with them... Since then whenever I join any party in exodus (pre game mode selection) I see my character standing alone as if I am playing solo not in a group! I tried the following : *Repair game and check for files integrity *fresh install *deleting profile save in the documents foler *launching the game through steam Yet I still have the issue no matter what. Any other ideas than mentioned above to fix that? Thank you
Battlefield 3 performance bug caused by Render.PerfOverlayEnable console command
I recently downloaded Battlefield 3 again but it has been absolutely unplayable. I used to get about 80 fps on the same PC a few years ago, but now it has dropped down to 15 FPS. And I have this problem only with Battlefield 3. Every other game runs perfectly fine. I also discovered that I am not the only person with this problem, but a few other people have it too and have never been able to fix it. After some research online and testing, this issue is caused by a console command in the game called Render.PerfOverlayEnable. Setting it to 0 instantly fixes my FPS, but it resets everytime I respawn, so I have to keep doing it over and over again in a single game. I even tried creating a user.cfg file and adding the command in there as recommended by some people, but that didn't work either. Given the name of the command, I also tried disabling every single overlay I have and closing all applications except for BF3. But that didn't work either. My drivers are up to date, my Windows is up to date. Some people have suggested that Windows update could be the issue, but my friend also plays this game on a fully updated copy of Windows and has never had this issue. I'm honestly lost at this point. I've tried everything there is to try. It seems like such a niche issue that has affected very few players, and we still don't have a fix for it. If someone out there knows what's causing this, please help me fix this.
Anyone solve for missing war stories letters since the change from Origin to EA?
Hey all, Been playing BFV since it was new, but decided to stop farting around and solve all the challenges and collect all the letters for the War Stories. I have all letters save for 3, (1 Nordlys and 2 Tirallieur). I have collected them, and as such the locations no longer spawn the letter. However all teh workarounds are from when the Origin app was in use. The directory structure for the game and associated settings for cloud vs local saves are no longer applicable. Anybody else know how to resolve this for PC in 2025? Thanks peeps
problem when try to start battlefield 4
I can't start Battlefield 4. It happens that every time I open the game, the game process will close after a period of time, then automatically open and close again, and the process repeats. When I use Battlelog, it doesn't work either. The game process appears, but it appears in the background. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I really want to play this game.
