Update (Edited: 06-08-2025): Even BF6's open beta loads fine on the same PC—just 50 seconds from clicking "Play" to reaching the main menu. Update (Edited: 30-07-2025): Performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and the game still takes over two minutes to load. A friend of mine with a different setup is experiencing the same issue. I suspect the problem is related to the anti-cheat or the game itself. I’ve attached a screen recording to this forum post showing the problem, including an on-screen stopwatch and Task Manager for reference. Original Post: For EA Staff & Devs Bug Report ID: 6ad91d36-9f32-4e49-98f0-e1c42c510896 Help Case ID: #215668482 I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching BF5 now takes significantly longer than it used to. Only BF5 is affected, I timed it with a stopwatch and the startup consistently takes around 2.5 minutes. The other games' load time from pressing play till it enters full-screen are: BF3 = 12 Seconds BF4 = 16 Seconds BF1 = 40 Seconds Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat launches and initializes normally. Once the Anti-Cheat finishes, there's a 30-33 second delay before the game window appears. The game remains in small window and shows a black screen for another 50-60 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game runs fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Ran both the EA App and BF5 with administrator privilege and in offline + clean boot. Ran both the EA App and BF5 on a different SSD, ensure SSD firmware are up to date. Performed a reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; cleared DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" in-place upgrade. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. For reference (especially if any DICE developers are reading this), here’s the BIOS update I installed: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/swdetails/omen-by-hp-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-16-k0000/model/2101129710/swItemId/ob-348379-1 I’ve also attached my DxDiag file to this post in case it’s helpful.2.3KViews7likes10CommentsGame Shuts off mid play
The game loads just fine and play for about 5 minutes then just completely shuts off and the EA app with it, it will reload and relaunch just fine but then just crash again a few minutes later. Ive reinstalled both the EA app and the game itself, nothing fixing it. The issue just started randomly one day, my computer is more than capable of running the game as ive put many hours on it already woith no issue. anyone else have this problem?>Do your job.
fix the matchmaking *snip*. fix the cheat *snip* with javelin is juvenile against make the game playable for full xo without without "official" breakthrough or conquest. Portal exists ands theres bots either way so whats the point? its an insult to have a conquest mode dedicated to less vehicles and more ground soldiers over a similar mode for breakthrough. Breakthrough chaos features maybe 4-5 maps played over and over that only had heavy vehicles. Ruined the whole thing. Look at the numbers. prior to discontinuing Chaos, most went back to regular breakthrough because there were more maps, some that included NO vehicles. The fact Dice doesnt understand how vehicles ruins some gameplay, such as rams against poorly balanced teams, tells me all I need to know about how much the people who make, produce and develop the game... actually play the game. also no game invokes an Nvidiacontainer error that crashes the game for Device Hung. Literally no other game, meaning no other platform. Its only EA games. Fishy how Chat GPT, Google AI and many typical sources blame NVidia FrameView,, Nvidia Drivers, and Windows despite every single error associated with those names sources way back to EA if you use the data provided by event viewer. The clear source of all these errors across many games is EA. UN-**snip*_Deniable. (CM: Edited to remove profanity. v’m posting here because I’ve hit a dead end with support and I honestly don't know what else to do. The short version: My account was hacked. While the hacker had it, they linked their own Steam account to my EA account. I managed to get my EA account back and secure it, but now I’m stuck. Because the hacker linked their profile, EA’s system slapped a 365-day cooldown on linking a new Steam account. Now I can’t link my actual Steam account (where I play everything) because of a timer the hacker started. The support loop: I have been trying to fix this for over a month. I’ve contacted live chat multiple times. I have provided ownership receipts. I have transaction logs showing I’ve spent thousands of dollars on this account. I have proven the timeline of the hack. Every time I talk to an agent, they tell me they are "flagging it to the internal team" and that I should wait for an email. The email never comes. I’m stuck in an endless loop where I get escalated, ghosted, and then have to start all over again with a new agent who tells me the same thing. At this point, EA’s security policy is protecting the hacker’s changes rather than helping the verified owner. I’m locked out of content I paid a lot of money for because support refuses to manually override a cooldown caused by a security breach. Can a Community Manager please look at Case #229886962? I just need a human with actual permissions to review the evidence I've already uploaded and unlink the hacker's restriction so I can play my games. If you need more information i have everything documented.
