A Traditional 100 Baby Challenge
Thought I would start a traditional 100 baby challenge inspired by other baby challenges, but this one has a twist, you must marry your forever sim and stay with them till death and try to have at least 6 babies per generation till your sim and their generation gets to 100 Babies the old fashioned way!! I wrote up a little set of rules to follow along with. I may not post everything here but I wanted to just add the sim and who he/she is marrying at the time and how far along I've gotten. It will be a very slow play-through and will take a long time for me to complete so this is more so a look-back area for the things I've done within this challenge.. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bo_LjUpW_gT6IwmLeInAOwH-_bs54HJdcSULSgJP6dA/edit?usp=sharing Meet Kolby West He is marrying Nalani Mahi'Ai and their Generation will start here!! Enjoy their journey242Views8likes56CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have athread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it's very hard to update further. It's past time I added game play from Lovestruck to this challenge, so I'm starting a new thread. Here are the general rules: Ignore any objective related to a pack you donât own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed three of the letters (Q,U,Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesnât mean that other generations canât do it for fun/convenience. If you donât have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change upwhich three are in play. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation, unless they don't have two aspirations. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be very young, so you will need to give them at least one parent. Pomegranate is her name, and she's known her destiny since she was just a little fruit. Her family legacy is to save seeds, perfect them, and hand them down to future generations. Not that every child in the family will be a Botanist like Pomegranate wants to be, but each child will be in charge of perfecting one plant, and of course Pomegranate's perfect plant is none other than the pomegranate. But first she has to find it. Their family name is Harvest, and their family legacy is as Seed-Savers. Pomegranate is collecting all of the harvestable from the wild that she can possibly find. She doesn't trust the quality of seed packets, so other than a few heirloom seeds (ie. seeds that came in Seasons that can't be found in the worlds), she must find all of her plants in the wild. Pomegranate is on long life span for now, and I plan on starting with Base Game, Seasons, and the Greenhouse Kit. I'll add in packs as I need them to explore and enjoy them each separately. Each child will have a name in line with the seed they are in charge of perfecting and handing down, plus they will be in charge of searching out and finding all new seeds with any additional packs that are added in their life time. Here's to a fresh start and a Legacy of Harvesters.116Views4likes21CommentsWorld Legacy Stories
I started the world legacy in 2019 because I had hard times to play legacy challenges without abandoning them after 3 or 4 generations. So I decided to bend the rules and mix them with rags to riches: What if each generation has to start over, from scratch in another world and use skills and systems implemented in the pack, in which the world comes from, to succeed in their lives? I'm now at my 12th Generation and it's still going. I have no real rules but I set goals for each generation so I could balance storyline and goal-oriented challenge. Current Family Tree: Generation 1 to 13 goals and backstories: Legacy Heirs: Update: Gen 16 goals and background are added. I'm at the end of gen 16, gen 17 is still an infant I'll update when it's the momentđ441Views5likes13CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge
So @NRowe started a discussion about exploring all of the game play in the Sims. @elanorbreton suggested going in alphabetical order and this gave me an idea for a legacy challenge. What if each generation represented a different letter of the alphabet, and is charged with completing all of the game play related to that letter. I'm going to start writing the rules here and update as I play through it. Overall Rules Ignore any objective related to a pack you donât own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. Want to cheat a promotion? No go. Want to wear a toilet on your head? You do you. The only money cheat you are allowed to use is âfreerealestate onâ when you move the founding family in. No rules whatsoever about aging. No rules whatsoever governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesnât mean that other generations arenât allowed to do it. For example, Gen 2 (Letter b) is required to visit a Beach lot. That doesnât mean the other generations canât visit the beach just for fun. If you donât have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. You cannot accept self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name must begin with their assigned letter. If they own a pet, the pet's name must start with that letter too. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Music preferences are assigned when the heir ages up to Child. Hobby preferences are assigned as they become available. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits must prominently feature at least one of their favorite colors, and avoid the colors they dislike. If you decorate/redecorate a space for them you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen. From that point forward, all of their outfits will prominently feature at least one of their preferred styles (to the extent possible-some styles might not have swimwear options for example). If you decorate/redecorate a space for them you must consider their interior design preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned to all of their designated residences. If the heir has four or more lot traits for their generation, they can change which three are in place when they switch to a different residence. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation. If they have more than two aspirations, you decide which two and which order. If they only have one aspiration, you can pick any aspiration to be the other one. You don't have to complete the other aspiration, just use it for the transition to get the bonus trait. If the generation has no aspirations, pick any two aspirations for the transitions. Some notes about how I alphabetize things: Gen Zero-The Founder's Parent(s) Gen 1-Letter A Gen 2-Letter B Gen 3-Letter C Infant- Calm or Cautious trait, try Crushed Carrots Toddler- Charmer or Clingy trait, Communication Skill Child- Creativity Skill, Creative Genius aspiration Teen-Chess, Cheer and Computer teams, Compassionate trait, Uncontrolled Emotions trait Final Traits- Pick Three: Cheerful, Childish, Clumsy, Creative, Cat Lover, Cringe Likes-Comedy, Cooking, Cross-stitch, Carnaval Beats, Classical, Cottagecore, Contemporary, Cosmolux, Cute, Country fashion Dislikes-None Teen+ Skills- Charisma, Comedy, Cooking, Cross-stitch Teen+ Aspirations-Championship Rider, Master Chef, Computer Whiz, City Native, Country Caretaker, Cure Seeker *Important Note about City Nave aspiration: Careers- Culinary, Critic, Civic Planner (Civil Designer), Covert Operator (Military) Collections-Crystals, City Posters Reside In-Courtyard Lane, Crumbling Isle, Cavalier Cove, Conifer Station Lot Traits and Challenges: Convivial, Chefâs Kitchen, Celebrity Home, Childâs Play, Cat Friendly, Cat Hangout; Cursed, Creepy Crawlies Visit-CafĂ©, Chalet Gardens, Central Park, Community Space Aspiration Rewards-Confident Potion, Cold Acclimation, Creative Visionary, Carefree, Connections. Welcome to BNS 185: Let's Play (Note: This is the long-delayed follow-up to BNS 180: Let it Snow, which introduced the elves and their quest to learn to build better doll houses and superhero lairs). You stretch out on your couch after a long weekend in the North Pole. You have really enjoyed your time teaching the elves about different types of architectural designs, but it has been a bit exhausting as well. You just wrapped up the teaching part of the job, and youâre pleased with the progress the elves have made. You have given them their "exam" requirements to build either a dollhouse or action figure/super hero lair using the techniques you have taught them. Now you have a whole month to relax before you have to go back to help "judge" their projects and offer final suggestions to the elves. The Brief: -the budget is $250,000 (this includes the lot cost). -the doll house or lair must have an "open" side, just like a real toy. -keep in mind that a "child" must be able to reach in and play in every room or space you create. -it should be at least two stories high with a staircase or ladder as well as a bathroom. -it should have at least 6 different rooms/spaces to play in. -don't forget to landscape. The Sim Challenge: -create a family or group of superheroes/action figures with at least 4 sims. -you can pick all traits, likes, dislikes, and other details. -show them enjoying the house or lair. The Room Challenge: -create a bathroom. -budget is $10,000. Remember to include the hashtag #bns185 with your build or it will not be judged! In my short time in playing Sims 4, I've completed my fair share of aspirations, but there are a few aspirations I've never completed yet simply because it was a bit tough to reach. What are the toughest aspirations you think are hardest to complete? Yes, this includes all aspirations included apart from basegame as well. I think in my experience, the toughest aspiration I've found hardest to complete is Party Animal, simply because I can't seem to get Gold on some of the social events because I'm most likely missing something critical to reach it.5.1KViews4likes32Commentsđ Quick Creativity CAS Challenge đ GLovelysQCC
Hi lovely friends! I'm rolling out this quick creativity challenge today April 3, 2020 in an effort to give you more exciting things to do as we all #StayAtHome in the weeks ahead. The main goal of this challenge is to design and upload original creations quickly and on weekends only. The focus of these creativity challenges is to grow your CAS skills since that's the creative section I'm most passionate about in The Sims. However, I may choose to challenge you on rooms and builds too as the challenge continues. The rules and creative direction will be posted here each Friday. Create and upload your entry to the gallery beginning each Friday after the new direction/rules post through 11:00PM MST Monday using the hashtag #GLovelysQCC I love to make Maxis nominations so this challenge will help me find some fantastic things created by you much more easily to share in the nominations threads.
