💜 Quick Creativity CAS Challenge 💜 GLovelysQCC
Hi lovely friends! I'm rolling out this quick creativity challenge today April 3, 2020 in an effort to give you more exciting things to do as we all #StayAtHome in the weeks ahead. The main goal of this challenge is to design and upload original creations quickly and on weekends only. The focus of these creativity challenges is to grow your CAS skills since that's the creative section I'm most passionate about in The Sims. However, I may choose to challenge you on rooms and builds too as the challenge continues. The rules and creative direction will be posted here each Friday. Create and upload your entry to the gallery beginning each Friday after the new direction/rules post through 11:00PM MST Monday using the hashtag #GLovelysQCC I love to make Maxis nominations so this challenge will help me find some fantastic things created by you much more easily to share in the nominations threads. Prizes will consist of The Sims 4 Expansions, Game or Stuff packs as I choose. In addition, please feel free to share your creations here in the form of screenshots (limit 3), description and gallery links weekend after weekend. I'd love to see this thread filled with your Sims creativity! Also, please share your creations on other platforms too like #Twitter or #Instagram. Creative Direction & Rules: We've all been quarantined at home for various amounts of time now. For this first QCC please create one original family household that resembles your own family household. You can make simselves but that is not a requirement. You may include pets if you have them in your home. In your description please briefly describe your family and share with us what your family is doing to pass the time as we stay home. Do you craft? Write? Game? Read? Bake? Have you reorganized your home? Please share tips and optimism in your description. Be sure to include the hashtag #GLovelysQCC in your description before you upload to the gallery. Design every outfit category for every sim in the household Give at least 1 family member the "family oriented" trait Write your creation description according to the above guide NoCC and no defaults (defaults replace the original Maxis skin/eyes but are not officially tagged as CC) Only Maxis poses Reuploaded/Copied creations will be disqualified Have a blast creating for us! This is a prize round so the winner will be chosen by a panel of active gallery sim creators. Winner will receive their choice of either the City Living EP OR the Get Together EP game code redeemable on Origin for PC. (If you have these EP's already and you win you may choose an alternate.) Back in the old days, rewinding to the early years of Sims 4, there used to be endless 'modelling competitions'. To the point where it got a little ridiculous but also it was a lot of fun! The creativity put into the challenges, the support of others, and the friendships fostered were all things that made it a heck of a good time. Is there any interest in bringing it back in 2024? Perhaps in a more simplified form where judges are not needed because there's no winner. Instead, the idea is to create a welcoming environment where anyone can participate, post their entry, and receive positive feedback from all participants before moving onto the next round. So, if any CASers are reading this, let's start a sim photoshoot challenge!

This contest will involve possibly one of the funnest part of the sims ... making them. I mean honestly how long have we sat in CAS just fiddling around with genetics? That's where all the fun is!!! Especially to us simmers who love modelling. We make them, dress them and get them ready for posing! This contest is a newbie contest. Because there is no editing in it whatsoever. The top 5 sims will be announced every round, along with who won the best sim. All scoring is cumulative til the very end, and I will reveal who is the master of CAS! Each judge will be given 30 points to judge with : Your picture will be based on 10 for beauty/10 for character/10 for style. Not how pretty your background is. I will keep a tally of each round to determine a winner, and you will receive a complete scoring breakdown cumulatively at the end. Because it is a beauty/style contest, No comments will be given. But I am sure your sims will get loads of encouragement along the way. Or perhaps you can't start a game without giving every townie a much needed make over? Then this might be the competition for you! I've always wanted to do some sort of lookbook competition that brings the joys of fashion and styling without all the needed editing to really stand a chance in "fashion" competitions. In this quick 6 round competition, you will be applying/roleplaying as a stylist that will receive a couple emails each week, from townie clients for some special events in their life. *This will be open to both Sims 4 & Sims 3. If you prefer to use Sims 3, please let me know ahead of time so I can assign a townie replacement in case they're newly added to the game. This competition will have 6 assignments and 5 challenges each season. That means there might be multiple eliminations if there are a lot of contestants. First elimination will begin in assignment 3. That way you will always have at least 3 assignments in each season. ✂ Assignments will be based on certain events that you have been hired to style for. This will have to be placed on a background to match requirements and will be like a usual ✂ Challenges will be based on a certain person or client that is hiring you for a special event. This can be submitted from CAS or on a solid background as it is only the styling needed. ✂ You will have SIX days to finish your assignments and challenges - always having a weekend to work on them. :) Extensions are given when asked. ✂ Though this will run through Discord and on here, you will NOT post your assignment until AFTER the deadline on any social media. This will make sure there is no copycatting and keep things a bit more original. All assignments will be DM'd to the host and will be posted for all to see while the judges deliberate. ✂ Results will include placement, scorecard and comments. You will always receive comments from the host and a few judges after each round to help guide you on your way to the top!
