Console Player Feedback & Future Feature Suggestions
As a longtime console player, I wanted to share a few suggestions and pieces of feedback with the Sims team. First, please consider bringing back the ability to purchase and own cars. It was such a nostalgic feature in previous Sims games, and I think it would add so much personality and realism to our households. Having Sims save up for their dream car, customize it, and use it to get around would be amazing. I also want to give credit where it's due. I've really enjoyed seeing the growth in apparel, accessories, and jewelry options over the years. It's especially great seeing more Black creators involved in the creative process. I can genuinely see and feel the impact through the hairstyles, clothing, and overall representation in the game. The brand partnerships, such as Coach, have also been a nice touch and bring fresh content into the Sims universe. That said, I'd love to see even more hairstyle options and expanded jewelry choices. Things like belly rings, additional piercings, layered jewelry, and more modern accessories would help players create even more unique Sims. Also, please update the wedding ring selections we could definitely use more styles, designs, and customization options. Another area I'd love to see expanded is careers. A modeling career would be a fun and realistic addition. I also think it would be interesting if certain career paths required degrees or specific educational achievements, similar to how many professions work in real life. It would add another layer of progression and realism to gameplay. These are just a few suggestions from a dedicated console player. Thank you to the creative teams for continuing to support and grow The Sims. I hope you'll consider some of these ideas in future updates!28Views2likes3CommentsLog in Rewards being locked after logging in
I play in PS4 Console and have logged in during the log in reward event that is currently ongoing right now. The event acknowledges that I have logged in, indicated by the 3/3 log in count, however when trying to redeem the items, they are still locked and ask me to log in again to claim them, even though I already had, and they are not showing up in my CAS or Build Buy menu. I have come back day after day, and relogged multiple times but to no avail. If anyone has any solution to this please share, or has anyone else also had this issue?10Views0likes1CommentIm looking for friends, I got MY FIRST COPY EVER of THE SIMS 3
Hi, im 26 years old and since I was 9 im a big fan of the sims. This is the first time i get to access all content of the game and im excited to connect with other players. Talk to me!! i wanna make friends. I love modding the game and experiencing deep stories with dynamic worlds and character development. I really enjoy roleplay with the life simulation style.Make your own school
Can we get the option to make our own school anywhere as a lot type. • play as a teacher • assign which sims attend school like you’re choosing who to invite to a party (100 sims +) and have a set age range (primary/ secondary) •assign year group for sims to be in (year 9/ 5th grade) so we don’t have year 7s and year 9’s all in the same maths class • make timetable for sims by subject that we can name ourselves • assign teachers to work at the school (20+) and what subjects they teach (can choose multiple e.g. teaches geography and PE) • be able to assign classrooms by subject (maths , English , science) - • be able to assign seating arrangement for classes • gameplay interactions like option for teacher to send kid out of class or to call parents for misbehaving kids, or to send to isolation or detention • add more uniforms for primary / secondary for cas that we can assign as school uniform (but would be better as a separate category in cas so we can personalise uniforms more) • more sports activities ⚽️ 🏀8Views0likes0Comments[CD] Cant adopt pets
When i click adopt the sim just picks uo the dog and puts it down, ive tried on different worlds, loaded games, and new games, different houses etc. so it dosent seem to be a mods issue, this started after the update today. Edit By crinrict: Added pack tag to title.9.2KViews545likes185Commentsuseless onlinethumbnailcache folder
Why does the game generate all these ugly and useless “catalog_thumbnails” in the “onlinethumbnailcache” folder? Depending on how much you use CAS, there are hundreds of useless files in that folder. Every time you quit the game, you have to delete them, for crying out loud! All these files unnecessarily bloat the game. Since they can’t be used with the ugly background, they’re pretty useless to the player and just more unnecessary junk. This is just an example of 100+ icons and what they look like: And FYI: The EA forum server is running terribly slow and might be overloaded, since it takes forever for the login and forum pages to finally load. After the login page finally shows and being able to login, it takes another 75 seconds to open the next page or any other forum page. Thested in Firefox and Chrome.Marketplace
When you click the ‘free’ section on the marketplace it shows items that aren’t free. Can you fix this “error” by adding more free stuff to fill up the space …? 😂 Like some more afro-textured hair styles, mens clothing, oversized hoodies with hood up, jackets, eyelashes, skin tones, suits, oversized T-shirts, facial features (jawline/ dimples) , kids clothing, kids school uniforms drum kits, cars, mini fridge, elevators, escalators, ramp, recording studio set up, Appreciate10Views0likes0CommentsAn Optional Subscription Model for The Sims 4
I have an idea that I believe could benefit both players and EA while helping The Sims remain competitive in the growing life simulation market. What if The Sims 4 offered an optional monthly subscription that granted access to all DLC while still allowing players to purchase and permanently own packs individually? This would not replace ownership. Players who buy packs would continue to own them forever. The subscription would simply be another way to access content. Benefits for Players - New players would not be overwhelmed by the cost of years of DLC. - Players could experience the full game immediately. - Console players and players who switch platforms would have a more affordable option. - Players could try content before deciding which packs they want to permanently own. - Families with multiple players could access content more easily. Benefits for EA - Consistent recurring revenue. - Increased player retention. - More players entering the Sims ecosystem. - Higher engagement across all content. - An opportunity to bring back former players who feel priced out of the current DLC model. Many players see the total cost of expansions, game packs, stuff packs, and kits and decide not to spend anything at all. A subscription would convert many of those players into paying customers. Competition Is Growing For many years, The Sims had little direct competition. Today, life simulation games such as Paralives and inZOI are entering the market and attracting attention from players who may have previously only considered The Sims. The Sims still has a major advantage: years of content, established communities, deep gameplay systems, and a franchise that millions of players already love. However, accessibility and pricing matter. A subscription model would lower the barrier to entry and make it easier for players to choose The Sims over competing life simulation games. Ownership Still Matters Players who have purchased packs over the years should continue to receive the benefits of ownership. They paid for permanent access and should keep that advantage. Subscribers would simply be renting access. Over time, many subscribers may choose to purchase their favorite packs outright, creating additional revenue opportunities for EA while giving players flexibility. Why I Would Subscribe I love The Sims and would subscribe immediately. I believe many players who currently spend nothing because the entry cost feels too high would do the same. An optional subscription would not replace ownership—it would expand access, increase player retention, and help The Sims remain the leading life simulation franchise for years to come. What do other Simmers think?31Views0likes2Comments
