Skin overlay works in CAS but disappears in Live Mode for specific Sims
I have a issue with a default skin overlay (Tinsel by Lamatisse). It has been working perfectly for over a year, but a few days ago it randomly broke for only TWO Sims in my household. Here is the exact problem: I have a family of 4 Sims: 2 Young Adults and 2 Adults. The 2 Young Adults (and all sims in the world) look completely fine and have the Tinsel default skin. However, the 2 Adults randomly lost it and went back to the standard EA skin. In CAS, the default skin shows up perfectly on them. But the moment I return to Live Mode, it completely disappears and they go back to the EA skin. What I’ve already tried (and didn't work): Checked graphics settings (Laptop Mode is OFF, Sim Quality is set to Ultra). Re-downloaded and replaced the skin file with a fresh one. Repaired the game through EA App and deleted localthumbcache.package + all other cache files. Reset the Sims via cheats. Changed their clothes/outfits. Aged them down to Young Adult in CAS and aged them back up (using cas.fulleditmode). They are regular human Sims (not occults), they don't have sunburns, medical wearables, or tattoos. I don't have any other default skin files in my Mods folder. Moved all my other mods to the desktop and left only the Tinsel skin in the Mods folder to test it. any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
Game Stuck on previous saved date
My game is consistently going back to an old in game date from when I saved it last. I started the game up to play in which it showed Saturday (in game). After playing through, I saved my game on a Tues (in game) and when I return to play my game the next day my sims are back on that same Saturday I started on. All progress is gone as if I never played it from my last saved game. I then checked to see if it happens just in game and it does. If I go from one playable sims household to another it reverts back to that same Saturday (in game). Anyone know what would cause this?Career panel blank red and white sims on a new game no mods
I’m having multiple issues with The Sims 4, and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s causing them. My biggest problem is that my Sim cannot find a job. When I try to open the Career panel, it doesn’t work properly, and the option to find a job is missing. I’ve also experienced other issues with the game, including Sims appearing red and white with question marks, missing custom content, and the game closing unexpectedly. Here is a list of the problems I’ve experienced: The Career panel is not working correctly. My Sim cannot find or select a job. Shift-clicking my Sim to use cheats, such as Make Happy and Modify in CAS, stopped working. My Sims have appeared red and white with question marks. Some of my custom content, including clothing and skins, has disappeared or stopped displaying correctly. My game has frozen and closed on its own several times. Better Exceptions reported a UI exception involving interactions with an invalid category ID. MC Command Center reported a Last Exception error related to potentially broken or outdated mods or custom content. Here is what I’ve tried so far: Disabled mods and restarted the game. When mods were disabled, Shift-click interactions started working again. Deleted the Lumpinou RPO Collection files after receiving errors. This helped restore my Shift-click interactions. Updated **bleep**. Deleted several traits and removed some custom content. Checked Better Exceptions reports and looked for outdated mods. Removed my skins folder after experiencing red-and-white question marks and game freezing. Uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4. Renamed my Sims 4 folders to separate my original files from the newly generated folder. Unfortunately, I still haven’t been able to resolve the Career panel issue. I have a lot of mods and custom content installed, and MC Command Center previously reported approximately 1,545 ID conflicts. I’m not sure whether those conflicts are related to the problem. I’m trying to determine whether this is caused by broken mods, conflicting custom content, corrupted game files, or a game bug. My questions are: Has anyone experienced a Career panel that won’t open or a Sim who cannot find a job? Can conflicting traits or custom content cause this issue? Could the reported ID conflicts be responsible? Is there a way to identify the specific mod or file causing the problem without deleting all my custom content? Since I’ve reinstalled the game, what should I test next before restoring my original Mods folder? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’ve spent a lot of time troubleshooting, and I really don’t want to lose my saved games, Sims, builds, or custom content. Thank you!
Gallery Is Stuck Loading and the UI Is Broken
Every time I open the Gallery in The Sims 4, it doesn't load correctly. The text is all over the place, the filter options are overlapping each other, and the Gallery stays on the loading screen forever. I never see any creations because it just keeps spinning. I've already tried repairing the game, removing all of my mods and custom content, deleting the localthumbcache.package file, clearing the EA App cache, restarting my computer, and checking my internet connection. None of those fixed the problem. This happens every time I open the Gallery, so I'm unable to use it at all. I would appreciate any help with fixing this problem.
