Franchise Suggestions
This is going to be entirely customization based as I was able to kind of get a deep dive into franchise. -Generic faces: They NEED to go. I was messing around making a draft class and I exited after 5-6 players. Half of the faces are unusable due to them improperly fitting in helmet or being a straight up eye sore. I feel as if many people made comments about how poor the hairstyles are on the generic face in recent years. instead of fixing them or making new ones, they just put caps on half of them. Easy and lazy way out in my opinion. My SUGGESTION, get the CFB faces into Madden. It's been recently brought to my attention by a content creator on X that the system in Madden and CFB as far as the generic faces are different. However, make new faces at least. Or actually take the time to rework the same CFB system into Madden. While not being able to create a player in CFB sucks, when editing and customization generic recruits I rarely see players with the same face which adds a huge depth of authenticity that Madden has never had. Im aware that there are thousands of generic faces in CFB but to replace the 200 in Madden with refreshed ones would be a much needed change that has been ignored for a decade. I genuinely do not understand how the devs are proud and happy putting that out in each product each year. Every sports game EA included has a face builder of some sort. Not even asking for that much. -Player styles missing in draft class players: Editing any recruit in CFB gives u a variety of options for QB stances, RB/CB/WR/LB stances etc. Madden has this as well in superstar so again why was franchise neglected. This adds authenticity in CFB and superstar. Seeing it blatantly ignored in franchise is disgraceful. -Body styles: The other massive eyesore are how poorly the body styles look in Madden. Again, CFB offers the same (thin, lean, standard, muscular, heavy) body styles that look 100000x better than they do in Madden. The standard body type in Madden is way too bulky compared to CFB for example. -Helmet tilt/fitting: Pretty sure this was addressed in CFB and all the helmets fit real and generic players nearly perfectly. Madden makes created players have no neck and huge shoulders. Eyesore. Helmets dont fit properly and are way too big. If you asked me how i describe customization in Madden id say bland, generic, and unauthentic. Things people have been saying for years and still hasnt been acknowledged. Im sick of it. Im sick of getting responses about how frustrating it is and not seeing any changes made or even acknowledging that its a work in progress. The Madden team lets me down year after year.25Views2likes1CommentOffseason madden fantasy draft league - draft sat Feb 22nd

So I’ve been playing Madden for a long time. I wanna say since 08 or 09, it’s come a long way since then and where we are now, I really wanted to make a wishlist of some sort so here it is. player retirements. I find it almost heart crushing when a player in your franchise retires. In today’s league there have been more players playing around with the idea of playing longer than the normal age retirement. And with Madden seemingly being open to having more commissioner mode type abilities I think this would be a HUGE addition. I’m not asking for the ability to bring back someone like Peyton Manning. But the ability to bring back players who were already apart of your franchise save would be a good move. It would stop the feeling of wanting to create or restart a franchise just because on player retired. This is probably a big thing for me because like I said earlier, Madden seems open to having some sort of commissioner mode. If you look at college football 26 you can do things like create the schedules. edit the rules and really just make your league yours and play the game the way you want to play it. In Madden so far, you can do things like undo free agency signings turn off salary cap turn off injuries. So there are already a ton of commissioner type abilities I would like for EA sports to really add to this. Rebuild Stadium or Stadium management overhaul. This has been stale for far too long. I know that EA has been working towards stuff like new stadiums and more abilities/options with that stuff. This just feels like something that should be talked about more. GM/Owner mode. I’m not exactly sure why they would take that out of the game in the first place. Maybe it was some sort of we need to redo it and do it right so we’re gonna take it out type of thinking regardless I hope that this does find its way back into the game instead of just merging it all together unless I’m mistaken, there is no way to hire a different head coach when you start your franchise. If there is a way, it is not clear. Pro Bowl. I do think that they will be bringing this back. I think that they are rebuilding it due to the change the NFL has made to it. But I must say I don’t agree with making it the way the NFL has it. I would keep it as a normal game like it was no one‘s actually playing in it. No one‘s actually getting hurt. I think that they would do more harm than good. Changing it to the way the NFL has it now. I think they could do a lot more maybe add the NFL honors Moore presentation really do something that shows we’re in playoff season. Also, adding in the NFL Hall of Fame game would be a great addition. Madden cover athlete. I think as you progress through your seasons in franchise mode, a player should be selected for the next Madden cover so for example, if I’m in the year 2030 and Drake Maye has a historic season then he should be selected for that years Madden cover. This kind of goes back to player retirements in a way, but being able to play past seasons would be really cool. It doesn’t have to be a franchise mode thing, but just the ability to play prior seasons with those players in those teams like the 2015 Carolina Panthers or the Seattle Seahawks Legion of boom era would be really cool to play. Playing certain Super Bowl moments like the Patriots in Seattle on the 1 yard line to win the game or the Nick Foles moment so many things like that would be really cool to add into the game. So this is my wish list for future Madden’s obviously I know some of these things might already be in the works or they already have their eyes on doing some of the stuff, but I just figured that this would be a good way for me too express how I’ve been feeling about franchise mode over the past few Madden video games. Hopefully some of the stuff gets added. I think my biggest request would be the player retirements. I think that would go a long way and make a lot of people happy while they work on other things.104Views1like1CommentMadden 26 you are already the commissioner of 20 leagues
Every time I try to start a league it says this error that I already am the commissioner of 20 leagues, even though I am not a part of any Does anyone know how to fix this? It won’t even let me play superstar now because I tried to make a character and it says the same message.651Views1like13CommentsMadden Franchise
Madden Franchise mode has improved in some areas, but there are still several fixes and additions that would make it feel much more realistic and immersive. One major improvement would be adding real-life offensive and defensive coordinators. Head coaches alone do not reflect how teams actually operate in the NFL. Coordinators play a huge role in play-calling, player development, scheme identity, and weekly adjustments. Having real coordinators with unique tendencies and schemes would add depth to Franchise and make team building and coaching changes much more meaningful. Another issue is wide receiver auto-substitution. While there is technically a system in place, it rarely works properly. Receivers do not rotate naturally based on fatigue, snap count, or situational roles, which forces users to manually sub players in and out. A smarter rotation system would keep players fresh, increase realism, and make depth at the position actually matter. Franchise also oddly misses the Comeback Player of the Year award, even though nearly every other major NFL award is included. This is a small detail, but Franchise is all about immersion and storytelling. Leaving out a real and meaningful award breaks that experience, especially for long-term saves where player arcs matter. Gameplay realism is another area that needs attention, especially defensive pass interference. There are frequent situations where a receiver runs a route and collides with a defender who is clearly obstructing them downfield, causing an obvious missed throw. In real football, this would often be flagged as pass interference, yet Madden rarely calls it. This leads to unrealistic outcomes and punishes the offense for situations that should favor them. Another improvement that would add a lot of immersion is player and team award presentations. When a player wins an award like MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, or Super Bowl MVP, there should be a short presentation or cutscene showing them actually receiving the trophy. Right now awards are mostly just menu notifications, which makes major accomplishments feel flat. Along with that, when a team wins the Super Bowl, there should be an option for a ring ceremonybefore the next season begins. Even better would be the ability to customize the Super Bowl ring, whether that’s choosing design elements, engravings, or themes tied to the season and team. Franchise mode is about long-term storytelling, and showing players and teams receiving recognition would make championships and awards feel earned and memorable rather than just another screen you click through. Overall, Franchise mode has a strong foundation, but these fixes and additions would go a long way in making it feel like a true NFL simulation rather than just a season mode with menus. Improving realism, immersion, and player control is what would keep Franchise players engaged year after year. Lastly, if EA is ever looking for community voices or new perspectives on Franchise development, I would be very interested in pursuing a role related to game design, gameplay realism, or Franchise mode specifically. I spend a lot of time in Franchise and think deeply about what works, what breaks immersion, and what would meaningfully improve the experience for long-term players. I genuinely believe input from dedicated players can help push the mode forward, and I’d love the opportunity to be part of that process.124Views0likes1Comment
