Hello everyone, I am extremely disappointed, and I know I'm not alone, with the decision to drastically reduce XP progression and unlocks on PVE Portal servers. This reversal, just days after launch, is a massive blow to the community and directly contradicts the promises made about the Portal feature. 1. The Broken Promise of "Full Progression" Portal was introduced as the ultimate sandbox, guaranteeing full progression regardless of the mode chosen. This was one of the biggest selling points for a large segment of the player base. The current implementation severely penalizes players who simply want to enjoy the PVE experience, learn new weapons, or progress at their own pace without the pressure of PVP. 2. The Nerf Solved Nothing and Punishes Honest Players The rush to "fix" XP farming has not resolved the underlying issue and has caused collateral damage: The Problem is the System, Not the Players: The initial XP farms were a predictable consequence of the tool. The fact that the server capacity issue is still prevalent shows that the XP nerf was a misguided attempt to mask a systemic infrastructure problem, not a solution to farming. Ineffective Measure: The XP farm servers are still over-capacity or have simply adapted to the new restrictions. Legitimate PVE players, however, are now left with a pointless grind. 3. This Drastic Nerf Will Kill Portal Ultimately, this broad nerf will do far more harm than good by killing the incentive to play the mode for the vast majority of users. Why would players spend time in Portal when their time spent is no longer respected by the progression system? Good community maps and genuinely fun PVE experiences will not be played under these conditions. Progression is the engine of engagement. By throttling it globally, you ensure that Portal, one of the game's key selling points, becomes a deserted ghost mode. Proposed Solutions: Restore Trust and Progression Instead of penalizing everyone, we urge the development team to adopt a multi-pronged approach that restores the promised progression for legitimate PVE play while seriously monitoring abuse. A. Restore Legitimate PVE Progression Re-enable Full XP on Official Game Modes: Progression (Full XP, Weapon Masters, Unlocks) must be fully restored for Portal experiences based on the official game types, even with AI bots filling the slots (i.e., Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, Escalation, Team Deathmatch, FFA, and King of the Hill), in both Normal and Hardcore settings. Reinstate Solo/Co-op Mode: The dedicated Solo/Co-op vs. AI mode should be restored to Full Progression. This is the intended way for players to chill, learn the maps, and progress their unlocks without any impact on the live server environment. B. Target Abusers, Not the Community Serious Monitoring of Abusive Experiences: Implement active and immediate monitoring to identify and de-list or restrict XP only on custom servers that clearly use exploitative or non-conventional rule changes (e.g., 1-HP bots, instant respawns, AFK loop setups). Re-evaluate Unlock Requirements: Acknowledging the slow pace of unlocks, some Tier 1 requirements and attachments are currently an excessive "grind fest." Please take this opportunity to re-evaluate the requirements to make the core progression path less frustrating, reducing the incentive for players to seek out farming exploits in the first place. This community bought the game based on the promise of Portal's freedom and "full progression." We need you to deliver on that promise with targeted, effective solutions, not a blanket nerf that harms your loyal players. Thank you for your time and consideration.17KViews362likes1130CommentsHardcore mode for veterans and those who prefer simulation
Hi DICE / EA team, I’ve been a Battlefield player since Bad Company 2 and I deeply value the tactical, immersive experience the franchise has always offered. Hardcore mode—with reduced HUD, one-shot kills, friendly fire, no minimap—was an iconic part of Battlefield’s identity. It’s disappointing that in Battlefield 6 Hardcore is only available through Portal, requiring custom servers and manual setup. Many long-time fans (including myself) just want to queue into a standard Hardcore playlist via matchmaking, like in BF3 and BF4. A simple option at the start of matchmaking—"Standard" vs "Hardcore"—would let new players join the normal mode, while veterans could select what they know and love. This choice doesn’t harm anyone and addresses both audiences fairly. Portal cannot replace matchmaking: lack XP progression, and aren’t easily discoverable. Access to Hardcore via matchmaking would revitalize competitive play and honor Battlefield’s legacy. Please consider adding an official Hardcore playlist to standard matchmaking. Many fans have voiced similar concerns and would greatly appreciate such a feature. Thank you for listening.12KViews263likes119CommentsBring Platoons back, we need them
I am a general of a large Dice Verified Platoon. Yes, Dice used to care so much about us that they even gave verified status to the good ones that did things for the community. They actively encouraged us to build communities. Now fast forward to 2042. The largest maps/ player count matches of the franchise. And yet platoons are gone. Platoons are gone and so is a server browser. No method exists of being able to get more than one squad into these huge games. Overnight, the communities we have spent so many years building have been ripped apart and trampled on. We cannot play together in the same match. I understand that there is portal. But it's a new game, we all want to experience in it's entirety but we have to split up to do so. Which is crazy when you consider there are 128 people in a match. How did we get here? From actively encouraging Platoons to stepping over them like pieces of rubbish on the street? We are literally homeless. With no method of continuing to grow. Only shrink as everyone splits off just to get a game. Platoons are like families. In my case, they are my family as I have none. We talk daily, we share the bad times and the good times in our lives. We support each other. We have fundraisers for those in hardship. Donated food gift cards, sent flowers for bereavements. Held meet ups in real life. Why would you ever want to take those experiences away from the communities you activity encouraged us to build? Years of hard work, years of recruitment. Years of managing our communities and holding them accountable for their behaviour. We have a huge sense of pride in wearing our tags. And now they are gone. Without any mention. Like they were so unimportant to Dice all along they can't even bother to give us an explanation. These Platoons have literally held communities together during the rough times of V. And now we have been discarded like a used tissue. We deserve better. #BF2042bringplatoonsbackSolved8.8KViews194likes242CommentsAdd Online Functionality
The lack of online functionality behind Replanted's local features is very disappointing to many of us who have wished it for years. Given how we have three months until release, please consider adding it. Local play is not as common anymore compared to when PvZ 1's ports released, and online became the standard.3.5KViews191likes70CommentsPlease give rentals the apartment shaders
Now the apartment shaders are fixed it would be great for rentals to get the same ones, its very distracting for gameplay with walls and floors being visible When visting as a landlord it looks like this which is the apartment shaders minus the ceilings, walls and floors arent rendered, which would be amazing if actually implemented: Vs Rentals in Normal Gameplay: And Apartments post patch 1.109.1853.7KViews168likes35CommentsFeature Request - Transmission Setting: Car
Hello there, hope someone from the EA WRC Team Reads this. First of all love the Gameplay so far. Great Job, delivering on your promises so far <3. My Request: Please add a Setting, like in Dirt Rally 2, where the Transmission i use is determined by the car: i.e.: WRC Car : Sequential, Group B Car Manual, like IRL. I love that we get to play different kinds of champiuonships in the Career Mode, always having to change those settings between events, takes away from the Experience tho. To be clear, i dont want to be able to set Transmission for each car individually, i'd just like there to be a setting, that the actual Car Transmission Decides, which Transmission i have to use. Thank you very much, please let me know if this will come and maybe my fellow gamers can share if they are also missing this feature3.6KViews144likes29CommentsClubs - Feature Additions/Improvements
Hey all. It's great to see clubs in from launch for the first time. However, there are definite improvements needed for clubs to get them to surpass or even just back to the level of where they were in DiRT Rally 2.0 and even DiRT Rally. 1 - Moderated Clubs - right now we lack the option to moderate who can and can't join your club. For private communities or leagues trying to run things in a more organised way, this is essential. I'm personally not a fan of having people I don't know to some extent on my friends lists, so "friends only" is not really a good option. Our current workaround is to have a separate club-specific account that is set as the owner that then has to have people add that as a friend. It's very fiddly and I feel unnecessary. 2 - Multiclass - this is a massive part of rallying and a feature that was in the original DiRT Rally. Not only is it a huge part of real rallying, but it allows us to craft experiences for our communities that means more people can take part in something they will enjoy. We used to be able to pick specific cars AND classes in the original DiRT Rally Leagues. DR 2.0 lost this functionality and it hasn't returned since. 3 - Inability to set a specific date - while we can set things to start in so many days then the specific time on those days, we could set specific dates in DiRT Rally 2.0 through the browser without having to work out how many days or hours we need to start the event in. 4 - No location mixing - another feature of the original DiRT Rally leagues. We could mix locations and create huge, varied events if we wanted to do something different. While there are an incredible amount of stages in the game, things will still get quite repetitive when running certain countries quite quickly. This was jettisoned after the original DiRT Rally leagues and hasn't been seen since. 5 - Can't select stage degradation per stage - in DiRT Rally 2.0 clubs, we could select the level of stage degradation per stage. This helped create a feeling of progressing through loops and the rally as a whole and keeping conditions somewhat dynamic. Right now we can only set a single setting for the whole event. 6 - Ability to create events through the browser - this was VERY useful in DiRT Rally and DiRT Rally 2.0. It is very fiddly to have to do it through the game itself, while we can only join and create clubs through the Racenet website. The whole thing is very fiddly. 7 - Ability to enforce camera types - in multiplayer lobbies, we can limit the cameras to "interior only", "no chase" or "allow all". Having this option in clubs would be fantastic for those looking to create something tailored to their desires. 8 - Ability to choose specific assists - rather than an overall "on" or "off" setting, being able to choose specific assists allowed in your events would also be very useful. 9 - Viewing the overall standings - this is... fiddly. The only way to view the overall standings after a specific stage is to go into the events overview, then the specific event and then click "overall standings" straight after a stage. You can't view the overall standings after a specific stage on the Racenet website or in the service area. In quick play and other single-player modes, the overall standings are displayed straight after the stage times. 10 - Ability to set specific days of an event - this could then open up people who have terminal damage to return on day 2/day 3/day 4 of an event. Right now you can quit a specific stage but only DNF that stage and carry on, whereas if you get terminal damage, your event is completely over. If you get terminal damage in the SP career or championships, you can come back on a later day. A specific option to allow rejoining on later stages or days would also be useful. I'm sure there's more I could add, but I think the general message is more options would be fantastic. Options are no bad thing when they can create an even more crafted, immersive experience. As a league admin, it's been frustrating to lose functionality since the release of DiRT Rally. Fingers crossed some of this can be taken onboard and implemented for this title.5.9KViews128likes55CommentsDisappointed by Battlefield 6’s Lack of Linux Support
To whom it may concern, I was genuinely excited about Battlefield 6. The trailers, the gameplay previews—all of it looked amazing. But that excitement was instantly deflated when I realized there’s no support for Linux at all! I’m running Ubuntu LTS and have absolutely no interest in switching back to Windows just to play EA games. It’s frustrating, to say the least, that in 2025 we’re still dealing with such narrow platform support. Linux users are no longer a fringe group—we’re passionate, loyal, and growing. Ignoring us feels like a slap in the face. I won’t be buying Battlefield 6 unless Linux support is taken seriously. Simple as that. Please rethink this decision—not just for me, but for the entire Linux community. Regards, A very disappointed gamer14KViews113likes111CommentsChange Minimap to top Left
Can you consider having the option for players to move the Minimap Location to the top Left, Top Right, Bottom Right etc.... Having it in the bottom left just feels weird to me. Even if you are unable to do so allow us the option to Turn it Off because I feel its obstructing my screen on PC17KViews112likes49Comments
