Sims 4 Medieval Pack Idea
The idea for a Medieval Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 sounds incredibly exciting and full of potential for a fresh and immersive gameplay experience. Imagine a world where Sims can explore a medieval-style city complete with royalty, peasants, and a monarchical system. Here’s a more detailed breakdown of how this concept could play out: Hereditary Monarchy System No Direct Election of Monarch: Instead of choosing the King or Queen directly, the position would be determined by the family bloodline. Players must play as a Sim within a royal family, and the throne would pass down through generations according to the lineage, much like a hereditary monarchy. This could be managed by a new trait, something like Royal Blood or Heir to the Throne, which would signify a Sim's claim to the throne. Hereditary Traits: A new "Royalty Trait" would be introduced, where Sims born into royal families have this trait and automatically become the heirs to the throne. The trait could also affect how Sims are treated by others, with royalty receiving special treatment from peasants or nobility, and being recognized as part of the ruling family. Dynasty System: The royal position would be passed down to the next generation, but the heir would need to meet specific conditions (such as reaching a certain age, completing royal duties, etc.). The player could either help the current heir prepare for ruling or take control of the next heir when the time comes. Dynamic Royal Succession Heir Selection: In the case of multiple heirs, the monarch’s death could trigger a succession process, where the next eligible heir is chosen based on their bloodline and traits. For example, the eldest child could be the automatic heir unless another child has special traits that make them a stronger candidate. Family Drama: To make things more interesting, players could experience family drama, such as siblings vying for the throne or hidden heirs (like illegitimate children) claiming their right to rule. This would create potential for political intrigue and conflict within the royal family. Ruling Styles: Depending on the heir’s personality or royal trait, different types of rulers could emerge. For instance, a strict monarch might increase taxes and rule harshly, while a benevolent ruler might be more lenient with the people, affecting the kingdom’s overall mood and economy. Peasants and Nobles' Reaction to Royalty Respect for Royalty: Sims with the Royal Blood trait would automatically be treated with respect by peasants, with special interactions like bowing, saluting, or even offering gifts. Nobles would also recognize the royal family’s authority and might try to win favor with the king or queen for political gain. Peasant Revolts: If the royal family is unpopular (due to high taxes, harsh policies, or neglecting the people), the peasants may revolt, which could trigger rebellions, forcing the royal family to address the unrest or face the consequences. 1 Medieval Towns and Kingdoms Medieval Towns: A new world would be introduced with multiple medieval-inspired towns or kingdoms. These cities would have cobblestone streets, towering castles, medieval architecture, and distinct regions for different social classes, such as the noble estates, the bustling market districts, and peasant villages. Revolutionary and Political Movements: The game could include uprisings or rebellions, where peasants or nobles could revolt against the monarchy or each other. There could be new political systems, where Sims vote for leaders or take part in coups to seize power. 2 Medieval Fashion Clothing: Upon entering a medieval area (like a castle, village, or royal court), Sims would automatically switch to period-appropriate attire. Men might wear tunics and tights, while women could wear dresses with corsets, and royalty would don crowns and elaborate robes. Social Hierarchy Clothing: Separate clothing sets could be available for peasants, nobility, and royalty, similar to the Royalty Mod, where peasants wear simple, ragged clothes, while nobles and royals wear opulent, fine materials. 3 Royalty and Court Life Monarch Interaction: The monarch (if the player is royalty) would have interactions with subjects that include giving orders, making speeches, and influencing town events. Peasants and nobility would greet the King or Queen with respect or even bow when passing by, following a strict social hierarchy. Court Politics: Sims living in the court could engage in political intrigue, alliances, betrayals, and even assassin plots! The royal family could have “illegitimate” children or hidden heirs that the player must manage, adding complexity to family dynamics. Special Events: Regular royal events such as banquets, jousts, and tournaments could take place. Peasants could attend these in hopes of receiving favors or rewards, but tensions could rise if they feel mistreated or neglected. 4 New Occupations Monarchy-related Jobs: ◦ Royal Advisor: A job that involves advising the monarch on important decisions and helping maintain the kingdom's stability. ◦ Knight: Combat-focused, this could be a career where Sims protect the kingdom, fight in tournaments, and serve the king. ◦ Court Jester: A light-hearted yet vital role in the royal court, bringing entertainment and humor. ◦ Royal Guard: These Sims would protect the castle and maintain order in the kingdom, defending against rebels or dangerous outsiders. ◦ Royal Scribe: A scholarly role that documents the kingdom’s history and oversees communications. Peasant/Lower-Class Jobs: ◦ Farmer: Cultivate crops and raise livestock for food. This could also tie into the new “agriculture” skill for growing produce. ◦ Blacksmith: Craft weapons, tools, and armor for the kingdom’s soldiers and townsfolk. ◦ Merchant: Run a stall in the market, selling goods such as food, clothing, or trinkets. There could also be new trading systems to add depth to the economy. ◦ Town Crier: A job where Sims announce important news or events to the public, creating a sense of community life. New Crafting and Building Options: ◦ Craftsmanship: Sims could craft goods like pottery, furniture, or weapons to sell in the marketplace, gaining new skills as they advance. ◦ Castle Construction: The game could introduce new building options, such as building castles, fortresses, and medieval homes with distinct, period-specific features. ◦ Alchemy & Herbalism: Adding medieval herbalists and potion-makers would introduce another layer of complexity with magic-related crafting. 5 Peasants vs. Nobles Class Distinctions: There would be clear class divisions between peasants, nobles, and royalty, influencing how Sims interact with each other. A peasant could live in a humble cottage with fewer resources, while a noble or royal would live in a large castle with wealth and power. Separate CAS (Create a Sim) Options: There would be separate clothing and accessories in CAS for peasants, nobles, and royals. For example, peasants might wear simple fabrics and tattered shoes, while nobles have access to luxurious gowns, tunics, and jewel-encrusted accessories. Social Dynamics: Sims could form alliances, friendships, or rivalries with others based on their social class. Nobles might look down on peasants or take them under their wing, while peasants might fight for better rights or seek revenge for injustices. 6 Additional Features Medieval Festivals: Players could host festivals for the whole kingdom, including jousting tournaments, medieval feasts, and royal balls, where Sims could socialize, compete, and even fall in love. Medieval Pets and Creatures: Introduce animals like horses, falcons, and hunting dogs that could be used for transportation, hunting, or simply as companions. Religious Influence: Religious institutions could play a role, with Sims possibly going to church to pray, donate, or be part of a church hierarchy. Confessionals, church services, and religious holidays could be new gameplay mechanics.4Views0likes0CommentsImproved Sound-Noise Sensitivity in Sims 4
I would like to suggest an improvement to the sound sensitivity of Sims in the game. Currently, it seems that Sims do not react to noise or loud activities around them. For example, if a Sim is sleeping while a vacuum cleaner is running, the TV is on, or someone is playing the guitar, they do not wake up or seem disturbed. This can create an unrealistic experience, as in real life, we would expect Sims to react to these sounds, especially when they're trying to rest. It would be great if the Sims' ability to hear and respond to noise was improved, making the game feel more immersive. This could include things like Sims waking up when the vacuum cleaner is used, or getting annoyed by loud music, or any other activities that might disturb their peace.13Views0likes0CommentsMiddle of Dressers.
We cannot sit item in the center of dressers. Not even with the movebjects cheat as it still reverts to either the left or right side when close. This seems like a simple fix. Please allow us to set things anywhere we want on the dressers like counters but in the very least, give us the center space please!! 🫶🏾5Views1like0Comments📍 Venue feedback
Hi, The venues are always the same ones in every worlds, 23 worlds later it would be nice to add new venues to the basegame. Museum and Library aren't places to have fun. Park, Bar, Lounge, Dance Club and Gym there are enough of them now. IRL people also hang out in these places : Arcade / Fairground Bistro / Brasserie : Bar/Café with waiters (no host, no chef), just go to a table and sit. Casino / Gambling Club Cafeteria / Canteen / Fastfood Restaurant : Literally the NPC Stall vendor doing the job inside a building Circus Market Place : Selling local products Movie Theater : Watch movie trailers and buy popcorn before the movie. Actors and directors could come for the movie premiere. Playground : Venue for Child, toddler, infant and their parents/nanny. Shopping Street / Mall179Views6likes13Commentscan we have a world based on South Africa?
it's either a game pack or expansion pack but i want an South Africa culture, activities and traditions unique architect too, maybe we can have a new greeting option i don't know a single thing about that country so i'll share the screencaps instead a beach with a hammock and maybe even new collections walking near a waterfall but even by doing so walking near wild animals, maybe even a new death type kayaking among whales as a new outdoor activity hiking through the mountains or hills i think based on dangerous sports (which i don't think they can create this trait because based on what i found on South Africa i don't think each dangerous sports are possible because as far as i know it they're all water activities but a few activities are maybe possible to create) they should add this personality trait because i'm sure a few wild activities are possible to make so i've thought of excitable as a personality trait, and an another one which i don't know the name of it but you want to throw things away that are broken, useless or damaged an another personality trait that might match with the pack is this one if they ever decide to make a pack based on something wild in Africa (Dopamine Addict) diverse landscapes rabbit-holes this time around but i want a safari with maybe questions popping up you have to answer, i've thought about a safari first but i'm afraid it will be too wild to be shown, it will be just like Tomarang as for aspirations i can't think of any and same with clothes and hairstyles i've thought about a few things but i'm afraid not each can be implemented such as abseiling, rafting to name these things for examble, we might can create rivers but it will be more like Tartosa for the view only but we definitely need a new beach world for sure since by so far we only have 3 of them at this moment (Sulani, Tartosa and Tomarang) this is actually the first time about creating an africa world because mine is all either Europe or America and only Asia continent once or twice but maybe it's because i'm an european myself it's only according to google i found things based on South Africa of course so maybe you have better ideas than i do at this moment39Views1like0Commentsan updated version from this pack idea
it's an updated version from this idea last year Suggestion: Stuff Pack for Selling Furniture in The Sims | EA Forums - 11251519 it's either a game or a stuff pack now that we're getting a "running a business" lot type soon what if we get a new dumpster and only find furnitures this time and get an already existing handy skill to fix either broken or damaged furnitures? (the only dumpster we've got is in "Eco Lifestyle" so i'd like to get an another one) and i want an option to create new furnitures like chairs, couches, beds, baths, desks, tables, fridge to name a few (there are lots of them that can be created of course but i'll spend hours on that idea if i mention each furnitures lol) and paint them from your liking, all kind of style and colour options (painting skill with just more options) maybe we get a "creating furnitures" venue for this pack idea (if not maybe an already existing pack called "community space" like they did with Evergreen Harbor that came with Eco Lifestyle as an option but a little differently?) once you created the furnitures, fixed the damaged or broken furnitures you can sell them so you earn money (actually fixing the furnitures can be in the basegame update, just an idea so it won't cost money if you have damaged furnitures) Aspirations: "running the furniture shop/market" (money category) "furnitures designer" (creativity category) it's kinda like the furniture version of "Home Chef Hustle" World: it doesn't have to come as a world but if it becomes a Game Pack maybe China? (or Egypt?) it's the same idea i shared last year, just more options for this pack idea unless it can match with a Expansion Pack i think it should be either in Game Pack or Stuff Pack i just have to think up a tittle name for this idea ("furniture making" maybe as a tittle name?) what do you think about an updated version from last year? finding damaged or broken furnitures you fix damaged or broken furnitures and/or you upgrade the furnitures you dye and style it for your likings you create your own furniture you sell the furnitures you have created and/or the furniture that's fixed which was damaged or broken if it becomes a game pack then this is perfectly made with my pack idea when running a shop (Super Keener Trait)Solved169Views2likes5Commentscan we have more winter worlds?
i want more worlds like this but it's with other continents (i'm okay with asian countries though) i actually love the way Mt Komorebi turned out the way it did so it's a shame we only have this as a winter world, each have their own cultures, activities and traditions and i'd like to see this in The Sims 4 we can have europe worlds based on winter (Swiss, part of italy and/or Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway to name a few) maybe even Alaska or Canada (non-europe world but i don't mind on this one) and a few Asia worlds based on winter (Nepal, Korea and China for sure) maybe we get new animals like: polar bear, hedgehog to name a few a world with a secret cave (like Willow Creek, Oasis Springs and kind of Granite Falls if not mistaken) you collect items, maybe set up a tent and campfire to keep themselves warm, new winter clothes/jackets, a hat, a scarf and gloves and something to keep your ears warm, learn new things (i can't think up about build/buy items though) maybe an iglo as either decorations or as a venue/lot trait and a new death type "died by a avalanche" i'd love to have new pyjamas and everyday clothes, maybe even party clothes with more winter activities, maybe even some winter sports like ice-skating as for basegame update maybe they should add the basegame world and make climbing skills in basegame (in my opinion it shouldn't be so exclusive with the Snowy Escape, i don't care for other winter skills but climbing shouldn't be in the Snowy Escape only) (i once had ideas based on the winter worlds but i don't know if it's still there since it's been like 4 years now but i think i once shared it on YouTube in one of The Sims 4 trailers) i hope EA considers making an expansion or a game pack worlds based on winter countries, one of them should be in the vacation only worlds64Views2likes4Commentscan we have a school pack based on children?
