Suggestion’s
I’ve been thinking about how much more immersive The Sims could become if Sims were able to have natural, unscripted conversations with players through an optional conversational AI system. Instead of replacing the traditional interaction menu, this could be an additional gameplay option. Players who enjoy classic Sims gameplay could continue playing exactly as they do now, while players who want deeper interactions could choose to type or speak naturally to a Sim. For example, instead of selecting “Ask About Day,” I could type or say: “Why didn’t you come to my birthday party yesterday?” The Sim could understand what I’m referring to, remember that the party actually happened, consider our relationship and their personality traits, and respond accordingly. 🗣️ Voice and Text Conversations Players could have the option to either type to Sims or speak through a microphone. The Sim’s response could be influenced by things that already exist in the game, including: Personality traits • Current mood • Relationship level • Family relationships • Romantic relationships • Careers • Likes and dislikes • Previous interactions • Events the Sim witnessed • Past conversations This would make two Sims respond completely differently to the same conversation. 🧠 Sims That Actually Remember One of the biggest features I would love is a stronger memory system connected to conversations. A Sim could remember important things the player or another Sim told them. For example: I tell my Sim’s friend, “I saw your boyfriend flirting with someone at the bar.” She could remember that information. Maybe she trusts me and believes it. Maybe she doesn’t believe me because our friendship is low. Maybe she confronts her boyfriend later. Days later, she could still remember that I was the person who told her. Memories wouldn’t need to store every conversation forever. The game could prioritize important events involving relationships, betrayals, friendships, family, major life events and emotional moments. 👀 Gossip That Actually Spreads Information could also travel between Sims. If I tell one Sim something, they might tell another Sim depending on their personality and relationships. Imagine telling your neighbor about someone cheating, then finding out three in-game days later that half the neighborhood knows. Different Sims could even have different versions of the story depending on how information spread. This could create consequences for friendships, families, reputations and romantic relationships without the player directly controlling everything. ❤️ Conversations Affect Relationships Natural conversations should have actual gameplay consequences rather than being AI dialogue that doesn’t affect anything. What a player says could potentially: Increase or decrease friendship • Create romantic interest • Cause jealousy • Damage trust • Start arguments • Repair relationships • Create grudges • Reveal secrets • Strengthen family relationships • Change how Sims behave around each other A rude conversation with a Sim shouldn’t disappear the second the conversation ends. 🚶 Sims Could Act on What You Tell Them This would be the part that could make the system truly feel like The Sims rather than simply adding a chatbot. Sims could sometimes take autonomous actions based on conversations. If I tell a Sim: “Your husband is at the nightclub with someone else.” Maybe that Sim decides to go to the nightclub. If I tell my teenager: “You’re grounded. Come straight home after school.” Their traits and relationship with the parent could affect whether they listen or sneak out anyway. If someone tells a Sim: “Your sister is really upset and needs you.” That Sim might decide to call or visit their sister. The AI wouldn’t directly control the entire game. It could interpret the conversation and connect it to existing Sims actions, autonomy and relationship systems. 🎭 Personality Should Matter Most importantly, I wouldn’t want every Sim to sound like the same AI assistant. A hot-headed Sim should communicate differently from a shy Sim. A romantic Sim could flirt differently. A family-oriented Sim might react strongly to family drama. A Sim who dislikes the player might be suspicious of what they’re being told. Their traits, experiences and relationships should create boundaries around how the AI portrays that Sim. 🔒 Make It Completely Optional I think this is extremely important. Conversational AI should not replace traditional Sims interactions. Players should be able to choose: Traditional interactions only Conversational AI + traditional interactions Text conversations only Voice + text conversations There should also be privacy controls and parental/age-appropriate settings for voice and generated conversations. Why I Think This Fits The Sims The Sims has always been about creating people, relationships and stories. Generative AI wouldn’t need to generate the entire game or replace handcrafted gameplay. It could simply make the Sims themselves more responsive to the worlds and relationships we’ve already created. Imagine having a family you’ve played for several generations and having Sims remember major events, relationships, arguments, friendships and stories from their lives. Instead of feeling like you’re selecting commands for characters, it could sometimes feel like you’re actually talking to your Sims and living alongside them. I genuinely think a carefully designed, optional system like this could be one of the biggest evolutions of social gameplay The Sims has ever had. Would anyone else use something like this? And if you would, what would you want Sims to be able to remember or react to?6Views0likes0CommentsDante’s Inferno Deserves to Return — Please Don’t Let This Journey End in Hell
Dear Electronic Arts team, I'm writing to you as a long-time fan from Colombia who still remembers playing Dante's Inferno back in 2010. More than sixteen years have passed, and yet this game has never completely disappeared from the memory of many of us who experienced it. Dante's Inferno had something special: its atmosphere, its interpretation of Dante Alighieri's work, its combat, its soundtrack, its depiction of the Nine Circles of Hell, and a story that clearly had much more potential to explore. That's why I wanted to ask EA something — not expecting you to reveal anything confidential, but simply as a fan who still cares deeply about this game: Has EA ever considered bringing Dante's Inferno back? Whether through a remake, a remaster, or even a continuation of Dante's journey through Purgatorio and Paradiso, I believe there is still an audience waiting for this world to return. We've seen other games from that era successfully return for a new generation. Modern technology could make the environments, creatures, scale and artistic vision of Dante's Inferno absolutely incredible. And perhaps most importantly, a new generation of players could discover Dante's journey for the first time. I'm not writing this to demand a sequel or an announcement. I simply don't want this incredible game and everything that could have come after it to be forgotten. There are still fans around the world talking about Dante's Inferno, replaying it, remembering it and hoping that one day we might see Dante. If this message can somehow reach anyone involved in deciding which classic EA franchises deserve another opportunity, then it was worth writing. Please don't forget Dante's Inferno. Greetings from Colombia, Fabian Sosa7Views0likes1CommentHospital patients
My current sim is a doctor, when she goes to work the patients just line up at the receptionist. No one checks them in or makes the beds, or cleans the hospital. It takes away from the time I have to complete tasks if I have to stop and check in patients. It would be great if there was a janitor npc to clean and if the nurse and receptionist actually did their jobs to check patients in and help out in general.16Views1like0CommentsAdd Preteens!
Hey fellow simmers! I feel like there should be a stage between teens and children. I think things like the "Awkward Stage", First Crushes, and middle school would add so much more realism and fun to gameplay! Especially how drastically the sims body changes when they age up from kids doesn't make sense. Especially Height and development. Imagine going from 4"5 to 5"4 in a day! It would also give sims a chance to discover themselves and grow their character. Traits like rebellious or popular, Valedictorian, etc. would be cool to earn through gameplay. New clothes and customization would be awesome and day-to-day development and acne would make it so much more realistic and also periods. adding more hygiene like deodorant and shaving. What do you guys think?69Views0likes10CommentsGinger hair swatches
Very simply put: We need more swatches for ginger hair. The representation when it comes to ginger hair is severely lacking. They look extremely unrealistic and forced. There are so many shades that could be added but I would be happy with auburn and strawberry blonde.18Views3likes1CommentEverything that needs to be looked at.
block party scoring is not accurate, one of the rounds was to do flip trick 180s, I've done multiple and it only counted 2. earning tix is a bit hard, last season I finished almost EVERY bounty, but 1 because I was not able to complete it because the challenge i needed wasn't found anywhere around the map, but even with every other challenge done, I still didn't have enough tix to claim everything from the skate pass. I now have to use tix from this season's challenges just to finish last season skate pass which will make me fall behind on this season's pass, and i would have to do it again next season. and some of the items in the pass cost way too many tix. speed. it's hard to gain speed and maintain it, sometimes when i do a trick off a halfpipe and the try to pump to gain more speed, it doesn't work because my character is still in the trick motion. gaining speed on flat ground is also hard, for certain lines/gaps I wanna do, i can't maintain enough speed to do it, only when i do a spread eagle then jump back onto my board. sometimes when i get on my board is launches me with a random amount of speed and makes me go into the wrong direction. add a street style skate park!! like a real one, not a random one around the map. stop reusing the same skate parks for the community parks!! we were promised something new to skate every time it resets. but when it does, it goes to a new one, then back to the old one from the day before the next day. it's getting boring to be honest. Things that can be added into the game: clothing wear and tear, this would kind of be like skate 3, when your clothes get dirty after a certain amount of time. but it should be improved for things like your clothes ripping, instead of just getting dirty, this could count for your board also, the board will show visible marks the more you use it. and it can reset after a certain amount of time, just how it does when your clothes get dirty in skate 3. it can be a setting, for people who don't want it. a hall of meat setting that lets you see fractured /broken bones how you can in skate 3, and this can also just be a setting the same way it is in skate 3. it would be cool if our characters get bruises and cuts/scrapes the more we bail, the same as skate 3. edit styles for clothes, in skate 3 when you choose a hoodie/jacket, it gives the options to have your hood on, or for the jacket to be zipped or unzipped. it would be nice if we could do that to give us more styling options for our characters as well as adding in jewelry the same way as skate 3. more towards our boards, let us choose how tight/loose our trucks our for our boards, and give us different skating styles like being loose or stiff, ect. one last thing, more hair styles!! modern or old hair styles. maw hawks and liberty spikes would be so dope. as well as more color options for our hair. lastly (for now) give us to options to hold onto cars and hit pedestrians the same way you can in skate 3. thank you for reading this.
