The cause of mouse stuttering when pressing keys has been 100% found
I'll try to be brief🙂 The bug itself is that when quickly pressing certain keys on the keyboard while simultaneously moving the mouse left and right, the image stutters. However, there's a catch: every time the game is restarted, there seems to be some kind of buffer that fills with the first 4-8 keys pressed on the keyboard. So, if, for example, I press the W,A,D,C,R,Q,S keys first, there's a 99% chance the bug won't affect them. However, the keys pressed after this (from about the ninth key and so on) will reproduce the bug. Moreover, this buffer can "fill" even by clicking the keyboard in the menu. And if the first keys pressed weren't the ones needed for comfortable, dynamic play with parallel mouse movement, then only a reboot and a new input will help. I tested this theory on almost 100 game restarts. And now the first thing I do before a game is enter training mode with my mouse, click the necessary W,A,D,C,R,S,Space,Shift and continue playing calmly. But it shouldn't work like that!🙄 My guide on this topic is on Steam - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3626300845 UPD: An interesting observation from steam/ZongerX is that when pressing problematic keys, Javelin Anti-Cheat activity increases in Task Manager (in my case, by ~3%). However, the problem most likely isn't the extra CPU load itself, but rather that the anti-cheat starts some background checks at that moment on those keys that did not end up in the "safe" buffer and those that are not pressed together with "Alt".4KViews49likes58CommentsBattlefield 6 – Network jitter and micro stutter on official servers
Hello Battlefield Support Team, I am writing to report a network-related issue I have been experiencing recently in Battlefield 6 on my Desktop Computer. I have been playing Battlefield 6 for a long time without any network problems. However, since recently, I am consistently experiencing network jitter and micro stuttering, especially in high-intensity game modes such as Escalation and Breakthrough, when many players are concentrated in one area. During these moments, I receive yellow and sometimes red network warning icons in the top-left corner of the screen. Did you updated anything on the back-end side of the servers that could affect me/other players? Network tests performed To rule out local issues, I have performed extensive testing: Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6E, 6 GHz) - Stable ping (10–13 ms) - No packet loss reported - Noticeable jitter and micro stutter during large-scale fights - jitter and micro stutter because of a TN rating of 100ms - 200ms because of crowded areas Wired LAN (CAT5e Ethernet cable) - Issue becomes more severe - Packet loss appears - Time Nudge (TN) latency increases significantly (up to ~400 ms) - Red network warning icons appear - jitter and micro stutter This confirms that the issue is not related to Wi-Fi instability, hardware, cabling, or local network configuration. Important observation When I join matches via Browse Servers and manually select Region: Europe, the problem completely disappears: No jitter No packet loss No network warning icons Gameplay is perfectly smooth This strongly suggests that the issue is server-side or related to matchmaking / server routing, rather than my ISP or local setup. Additional information I've been playing Battlefield 6 earlier without any troubles In-game ping remains low (10–13 ms) at all times Packet loss only occurs in certain matchmaking servers (read: TN 100 - 1000ms), not in manually selected EU servers Other online games do not show any network issues Conclusion Based on these results, it appears that some Battlefield 6 matchmaking servers may be experiencing: Server-side performance degradation under high load, and/or Routing or transit issues between certain matchmaking servers and players I would appreciate it if this could be investigated, as the issue significantly impacts gameplay in large-scale modes, despite a stable and high-quality internet connection. Thank you for your time and support, i'd like to receive a solution for this. It's demotivating me to continue gaming. Kind regards, BelithraldirSolved304Views3likes13CommentsBattlefield 6 – FPS drops by half until a setting is changed
Hey everyone, I’ve been running into an issue in Battlefield 6 where my FPS sometimes drops to about half of what it should be when launching the game or loading into certain maps. I found a temporary fix: if I change my display mode from Fullscreen to Bordered Windowed (or vice versa), the FPS immediately goes back to normal. It seems like something gets stuck with the display or graphics settings when the game starts. Maybe it’s related to fullscreen optimization or resolution scaling. Has anyone else run into this? Would be great if EA could look into it.4.3KViews6likes15CommentsCpu issues, crashing, extreme frame drops, high temps/usage
My system: ryzen 5900x, zotac 3060 12gb, 2x16gb gskil ripjaw ddr4 3200mhz, 1tb nvme, asrock b450m-hdv mobo, hyper 212 black ed, 4 corsair 120 daisy chain case fans, 650w psu, cooler master micro atc case From the day i upgraded from a ryzen 5500 to a 5900x i’ve had issues with this game. I’ts not mobo vrm’s or psu, i ran hwinfo64. For some reason, only this game maxes my cpu out all the time, causing extreme frame drops and crashes, without MAJOR tuning. I got rid of both in a bunch of ways and found the most efficient way to do it, while gaining fps instead of losing it. I was spiking up to 100% cpu usage, 90 degrees, and even idling the game at 82 degrees, at 70fps. Now i get 130 fps average (no frame gen) at 60 degrees max, never peaking 40% cpu usage. No more crashes. If you ran hardware monitors and saw similar problems, here are my optimal fixes. Disable “PBO” in bios. Install process lasso, set the game to run on the cores and threads windows doesn't use, if you have a powerful cpu. Induce performance mode and exclude it from pro balance. Set it to high priority on cpu, gpu, and io. Set your power plan to bitsum highest performance or ultimate performance, then under advanced power plan settings, set min and max processor state to 99%. Next make a user.cfg file on notepad and save it in your bf6 folder, look up a tutorial. Set it to your cores and threads minus however many windows uses, most likely 2. If you have a smaller cpu, try all cores. If its bigger, try one ccd. If your games still not smooth, lower your “VID” in .05 increments in bios. If it doesn’t get better after 2 of those, revert the “VID” to auto. This is to undervolt your cpu, making it maintain higher clock speeds at lower temps for longer periods of time. Try switching your “xmp” from auto to “xmp 2.0” in bios (ram overclock), or the other way around. If you're having cpu issues and this didn't fix it, i got nothingVRAM usage exceeding minimum spec requirement
Hi, Somehow Battlefield 6 is using around 12 GB of VRAM. after 30+ minutes of playing. The game runs fine for about 10 minutes then slowly starts choking itself out upon loading new areas. Not too sure why but it's frustrating. Particularly due to the fact that I'm running a 1920x1080p display at settings recommended by NVIDIA. Specs: Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K (3.70 GHz) Installed RAM 32.0 GB Edition Windows 11 Home NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Squad chat not working.
I don’t know what the big idea is behind squad chat, but it seems that nobody likes it. Just let us all talk to one another freely, we shouldn’t have to switch from “party” channel to “squad” channel every single game! Furthermore, the amount of times my we do go into squad channel and are not able to hear party members is ridiculous. It makes comms impossible. Not to mention when the game is finished, it always puts the party leader back to party channel and the rest of the squad can no longer hear them. For a game that relies heavily on comms, there is a lot of **bleep** going on. The game freezes and crashes constantly, at least get the audio right 🙏🏼18Views1like0CommentsPSA: Mouse Input is broken in this game (looks similar to bad frame timing)
Mouse input is broken, which ruins an otherwise well optimised game. This looks to be getting confused with poor frame timing in a lot of threads, but controller input is unaffected. For reference, I easily average over 100fps even on the bigger maps, but panning the camera with mouse input makes the game feel like it's running at 15fps despite no drops. In-game reporting confirms it's running perfectly, as CPU/GPU are always rendering within 10fps of eachother. Connect a controller though? Buttery smooth camera panning, and easy to track enemies. No hitches or stutters, just butter. I've tried: - All polling rates, from 125hz up to 4000hz - Toggling raw input on/off - Enabling/disabling Nvidia reflex - Changing USB ports, changing to different mice, wired/wireless - USB power saving etc all turned off - I even tried a driver/Nvidia CP restore, but as controller is super smooth, this was a long shot in the first place Unfortunately the game is unplayable using a mouse on PC due to this. It's next to impossible to track targets, and you quickly get a headache from the micro stuttering when panning. The effect is very similar to Helldivers 2 on PC, when you turn off 'Mouse Smoothing', as that game has serious issues with raw mouse input. Happy to hear suggestions on how to fix this. Mice tried: - Keychron M4 - Logitech G305 - Logitech G604 - Razer Naga Hyperspeed - AttackShark M1 I've also tried on an entirely different PC, same results. OLED as always exhacerbates the issue too, due to the awesome pixel response times. I fear many won't see it due to slower LCDs. Specs are: 5700x3d 3060ti 8GB 32GB DDR4 3600 CL16 AW3423DW (Gsync module version) This is on a fresh Windows install, up to date drivers (tried DDU as well to be sure), but honestly since it's running beautifully with a controller, this looks to be purely a mouse input issue. No other games exhibit this issue other than... Helldivers 2, and Battlefield V. BF1 is butter on mouse, as are BF3 and BF4. Helldivers 2 can be fixed by turning on mouse smoothing in game. I almost bought a GPU upgrade before testing the Xbox controller, saved myself £600. Latest CM post: Hi everyone, Thanks for sharing your experiences and feedback so far. We understand this issue is especially frustrating when it impacts your ability to play smoothly with a mouse. While we’ve asked for similar information before (here), to move forward and make meaningful progress, it is absolutely essential that you provide detailed and precise information responding to the specific request below. Giving vague comments without concrete details won’t help us troubleshoot, escalate, or investigate effectively. If you’re able to, please reply directly to this post by clicking the Reply button on this post. This keeps your info neatly organised and makes it much easier for us (and the studio) to track everything. Please avoid replying to the original post or posting at the bottom of the thread, as this makes it harder for everyone to follow the conversation. Here’s what would be super helpful for us to know: Mouse mode (wired or wireless) Mouse polling rate (e.g. 1000Hz) Whether you’re using mouse software (like Razer Synapse) Where your mouse is plugged in (PC, monitor, hub, etc.) Keyboard model and connection type (wired/wireless) Keyboard polling rate Whether you’re using keyboard software Where your keyboard is plugged in Monitor model Full PC specs (CPU, GPU with driver version, RAM) Full Windows OS version (not just "Windows 11") Whether Gsync or VRR is enabled Full screen mode (fullscreen, borderless, windowed) Which platform do you play on (EA app or Steam) Any overlays active during play (Discord, EA app, Nvidia overlay, etc.) CPU and GPU usage percentages while playing Whether the issue improves with a framerate cap (e.g. 125 FPS) The more details you can share, the better we can help. We know it’s a lot to ask, but this is the only way we can ensure the right information reaches the team and move things forward. Thanks so much for your patience and for helping us out with this. We really appreciate it!Solved76KViews224likes1060CommentsRight stick drifting
My right stick on my PS5 controller is drifting so much it almost unplayable to play bf6. I have tried to remove the game and install it again and tried to configure the dead zone in the settings but nothing helps. The right stick is also drifting when I am in the menu of the game. I have zero issues when playing other games. I hope you can fix this bug as soon as possible, because I love to play bf6, but right now it is unplayable. I have attached an video recorded on my PS5. br. Frederik Monefeldt4Views0likes0CommentsFIX THE SOLDIER MOVEMENT
THE SOLDIERS' MOVEMENT IS THE MOST UNREALISTIC THING IN THE GAME. 1. THE SOLDIERS MOVE TOO FAST. MAKE THEM SLOWER. 2. THEY MOVE WITHOUT ANY ELASTICITY. THEIR MOVEMENT IS COMPLETELY LINEAR. THEY GO LEFT AND RIGHT LIKE IN GAMES FROM 30 YEARS AGO. IT'S RIDICULOUS THAT THERE ARE SO MANY ZOOM CURVES IN THE SETTINGS, WHILE THE BODY'S MOVEMENT CURVE IS CONSTANTLY LINEAR. 3. THEIR MOVEMENT IS AS UGLY AS SUPER MARIO'S. 4. THE TANKS ARE SLOW AND HEAVY (WHICH IS REALISTIC) BUT THE SOLDIERS MOVE LIKE FLASHMAN. WHAT A JOKE!!! PLEASE HIRE SOME PEOPLE WITH BRAIN TO ADVISE YOU. DON'T JUST THINK ABOUT HOW TO SELL. AND THE MONEY WILL COME.4Views0likes0CommentsHigh ping issue since January 1st
I don't know what happen this servers but after winter update and start of new year i'm facing high ping more than i get averagly. Servers are getting worse. Are any of you facing same problem like mine? Averagly getting 60-65ms but after new year it reach 75-80ms. I connected from Turkiye by the way to directly EU servers.14Views0likes0Comments
