Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves
This is a very specific bug symptom so please only post here if you see all of the below in your game. There are many similar issues, so this should be kept to this issue only. This can either be an extreme lag or a total freeze. Symptoms in the game Time stand still although there can be a delay where time moves for a but when part of UI is frozen You can't click on anything Sims move but do interactions endlessly Environment moves If you have multiple household members, you can't switch between them. Going to the map in this state can lead to endless loading You can still switch to build mode but only delete one item. Not all households are affected. Unsure what causes it. Unsure/More info needed It start happening at a specific time Computer starts to use up a lot of the resources Not this issue Sims don't respond to commands, standing around doing nothing1.6KViews89likes68CommentsLag for menu to show up when clicking on objects
On xbox and Mac there's a lag when you click on the fridge or computer, it's gotten better for a bit, then got back to being almost half a minute and I can't do anything while I wait for it to load the menu or it will cancel the action. This issue has persisted since 23 /24 and makes the game unplayable. When in game, there is a head tracking problem which gives the feeling of "wobbling", and it seems to be that the tracking is delayed or out of sync, causing stutter when moving your head. This causes instant sickness and makes it unplayable. I'm yet to find a post in the community with a fix and it seems to be a very common issue. My specs: 5700x3d 32GB Ram Nvidia 5070TI Quest 3 via SteamVR (Link cable and virtual desktop) running at 90hz Tried a wide range of settings, including dropping everything to the minimum. No avail.Newest Update - Memory Leak / RAM Usage
The new update has introduced along with it a memory issue. RAM usage now continues to rise until the system experiences memory exhaustion. Please note that this was not the case before the most recent update. I tried with and without mods. There is a faster loading time on the un-modded game, but RAM usage is still the issue. For reference my specs: i-7 8700k CPU 3.7 GHZ| NVIDIA GeForce 4070 Ti Super 16GB | 32GB RAM | page file is 50G | 725GB Disk space FREE Attached are save files for both modded and un-modded. Bug Report: Battlefield 2042 Crash on Death Animation So earlier today I started back playing Battlefield 2042 after not playing for about a year due to the new Dead Space collab with the new Outbreak mode. However, I'm having a serious issue where every time I die, right as the death animation starts to play, the game freezes and crashes immediately with no error message. This happens in all modes. I've looked online and seen others with similar issues. Some reported that deleting the cache folder for the game helped, but it was only a temporary fix — the issue returned within 30–45 minutes. Since deleting the folder didn’t help, I decided to reinstall the game, even though it’s large. Unfortunately, the problem got slightly worse: it started freezing even faster, sometimes before the death animation even starts. I then consulted ChatGPT, which recommended analyzing the crash dump file using a program called WinDbg. I did so, and shared the analysis with ChatGPT to interpret the results. ChatGPT Response Summary: Root Cause Summary: The crash was due to an Access Violation (0xC0000005) — specifically a read from a null or invalid pointer (0x0000000000000008). Crash Details: Module: amdxc64.dll (likely part of AMD graphics drivers) Function: Boost Serialization (boost::archive::detail::iserializer::load_object_data) Crash Reason: Attempted to read from RCX + 8, but RCX was NULL (0x0), leading to a crash. Contextual Clues: Crash occurred while BF2042.exe was running. Involves amdxc64.dll — a common AMD GPU driver library. Occurred during Boost serialization and DirectX 12 GPU pipeline operations. Likely Cause: A pointer used by the AMD graphics driver during deserialization or pipeline setup was NULL, causing the game to crash. So at this point, having done nearly every troubleshooting step and even running diagnostics with the help of ChatGPT, this is the closest I’ve gotten to an explanation. Hopefully someone from the developer team can help investigate further. And yes, before anyone asks — I did try switching the game to run in DirectX 11. The same issue persists. System Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT RAM: 32 GB DDR4 OS: Windows 11 Home, 64-bit Driver Version: AMD Adrenalin – latest version as of May 2025 Troubleshooting Performed: Verified game files via Steam Reinstalled the game Updated GPU drivers to the latest AMD version Set game to run as administrator Disabled all overlays (Discord, Steam, Radeon) Disabled all background apps No overclocking is done on this system[CD] Missing Assets in Brindleton Bay
Hey everyone, I've been having major issues with The Sims 4 after installing the For Rent expansion pack. My saves became corrupted, and I also noticed that assets in Brindleton Bay and Evergreen Harbor are missing. Even after completely deleting For Rent from my game and starting a brand-new save file, the missing assets in both worlds are still gone. This issue seems to be linked to For Rent because the expansion is corrupting save files—Sims won’t do actions, or they take forever to move. Even after removing For Rent, my legacy save is still buggy—Sims act strangely and barely perform any actions at all. I've already tried repairing the game via the EA app, but the problems persist. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any known fix to restore Brindleton Bay and Evergreen Harbor and get Sims working normally again? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
