No Heirloom Shards
I'm so confused. I thought the patch notes said any progress currently made towards heirlooms would convert into shards. "The shards will have the same drop rate as the previous system, so that after 500 Apex Packs, you will have enough Heirloom Shards to obtain an Heirloom set from the Heirloom shop. And don’t worry, your existing progress towards the 500 Apex Packs will carry over with the switch. " I've played since week once, I'm nearly 150 levels into the game, and while I've never purchased packs, I've earned lots of them. It's possible that I just still haven't had the luck to open an heirloom pack, but I just don't think it's possible that I've earned ZERO points towards one. Maybe I don't understand what they mean, can someone tell me what the update was supposed to do??Solved26KViews9likes81CommentsInstant close loot menu key
I've been stuck several times in the middle of looting by having the loot menu over my screen with no quick way to close it. For some reason TAB key doesn't always work when looking in loot crates, and escape can get you stuck on the actual escape menu just as much as closing the loot menu... Tapping E after holding E should be set to instantly close the menu.11KViews5likes4CommentsScroll Bar While Looting (No scroll wheel)
I would really appreciate the scroll bar on the left of loot boxes of dead enemies to work. For those of us that have no scroll wheel, we are unable to loot anything below 4-5 items. I know this is a limited problem, but would love to see it fixed! Thanks. As of right now I can only loot ammo and guns from most bodies.8.9KViews4likes14CommentsBullet velocity too low
Like the topic says, I've never seen a game where you have to lead your shots so much... in close combat. Add some laggy situation in the beggining of the game and you won't hit anything as the guy you are shooting is teleporting and you are throwing rocks at it. The bullets travel at ridiculously low speeds. I don't mind adjusting for bullet drop and leading on longer ranges, but man this is the future we are playing in and compared to WW1/WW2 shooters these remind me more or muskets compared to real guns. So add bullet velocity but more drag/gravity effect to balance the bullet drop, which is fine by the way.8.5KViews5likes14CommentsHold/toggle option for sprint and inventory
What this game needs (and needed for a long time) is hold/toggle option for sprinting and inventory. I am used to and always prefer to hold buttons instead of toggling. For sprinting it may not be a necessary option, as holding still works fine. But for inventory - it is absolutely crucial. Too many times I have died when looting and being fired at, and then in panic mode pressing Esc to exit inventory, and now I need to click Esc and Tab again to get back to the fight. It would be so much easier to just stop pressing Tab instead of finding it in panic moments. And I don't think it should be that hard of a challenge to add this feature to the game.7.9KViews4likes6CommentsApex Legends: All Weapons Ranked
#24 - P2020 Definitely the weakest gun in my eyes. It's damage is so little, it's rate of fire is fairly quick but not enough to balance the gun's disgustingly weak damage output. This means that it is very slow to kill which is useless in a game so fast paced. Even with Hammerpoint Rounds, there is still much to be desired. To maybe make it at least usable early on, buff the damage and rate of fire slightly and see whether that is good enough as those are its glaring weaknesses. #23 - Mozambique The Mozambique's Season 6 buff pushed it up from the worst gun to the second-worst gun. It's a lot better than the P2020, because it does more damage and doesn't need Hammerpoint Rounds to be usable. Despite all this, the gun still sucks, and you're much better off with any other close range gun (except the P2020 of course). Maybe buff the damage and impact a shotgun bolt has on this gun considerably. #22 - Charge Rifle This weapon is the only hitscan sniper in the game, but despite this its damage is quite low for a sniper, it's fairly inaccurate, and gives your position away quite considerably. It's only really good at medium range too, there are just so many better picks. The damage and range of the gun do need increasing so it can keep up with other snipers. #21 - L-STAR Don't get me wrong here: the L-STAR is decent, but it's like a terrible SMG rather than an LMG. It's unusable at medium-to-long range as it's recoil and muzzle flash are too great, and on top of that the gun can't use barrel attachments to mitigate that. It's damage is actually quite good, but if your opponent has a Level 3 shield or higher, it will be quite the challenge to knock them due to its small "mag" size. #20 - Sentinel For a bolt-action sniper of its type, the Sentinel is quite weak. The rechamber time is slow and isn't balanced with the damage output, and disruptor ammo, while useful, is extremely situational. A buff idea I have for this gun is that disruptor is not timed but is used in five shots, so it's a little stronger and more rewarding to those with precise aim. #19 - RE-45 This pistol is strong and definitely a great secondary gun, but the only reason it's low on the ranking is because you'll be much better off with an SMG over this pistol. With the new hop up coming to Season 7, maybe it'll be stronger, but for now it sits comfortably in 19th place. #18 - Alternator For much of the same reasons as the RE-45, the Alternator is fairly low on this ranking. Like the RE-45, it's strong early game when the enemies have low shields, and is good throughout the whole game if you can find a barrel/light mag, but it is the worst SMG and the guns higher on this list outclass the Alternator quite a bit. #17 - HAVOC The HAVOC is a strong gun, but unlike the other assault rifles, it is extremely, extremely reliant on attachments to be good. It has a high recoil, meaning you need to be insane at managing recoil to attack targets who are further away. Once you get a Turbocharger and Blue/Purple mag, this gun does become very dominant, but overall, it's not that great. #16 - Flatline Like the HAVOC, the Flatline is powerful, but it is limited range-wise. It packs a punch, but is slow and only good in close-to-mid-range combat. You can see success with this gun very easily, but guns later on this list are much more viable to be in your loadout. #15 - Longbow This sniper rifle is very strong, mainly because it is great at mid and long range, is fast and can have barrel mods attached to reduce recoil considerably, but despite this, it does rely on barrel attachments to be useful in long range combat, and because it has a higher rate of fire, the demand for an extended mag is fairly high. I'd class the Longbow as a "Good" sniper but not "Great". #14 - Triple Take The Triple Take is hats down the best floor-loot sniper rifle. You no longer need a hop up to use this at long range, it can be used at all ranges (even close!) and has an insane damage output for its quick rate of fire. Despite all this, it's still not the best gun, and other guns are much better. #13 - Hemlok The Hemlok's recoil is easy to control, it's rate of fire is quick and easy to manage and it's damage is nightmare-worthy. It's single-fire mode isn't as deadly, but if you can manage it it's pretty good and great at long range. It's not the best assault rifle, and the guns above it do outclass the Hemlok considerably. #12 - Volt The Volt SMG had a good introduction to the game. It's very easy to kill opponents with, has good recoil for an SMG and is okay at mid range because it does have slightly higher damage than other SMGs. Like most guns, the only reason it isn't high on the list is because higher guns outclass it, and the Volt will most likely lose to higher SMGs. #11 - Mastiff You might be thinking: "why is the Mastiff worse than the EVA?" The simple answer is because the Mastiff has a higher bullet spread therefore you can only deal high damage up in an enemy's face and it's much slower. It is a strong shotgun and outclasses a lot of close range guns while ensuring to dominate but other guns are much more viable in this meta. #10 - EVA-8 In my opinion, the EVA is the strongest floor shotgun. It's only slightly better than the Mastiff, but better enough that this is noticeable to most people. It's quick and doesn't need to be up in your face to deal good damage. It doesn't need double-tap to shine it will be fine without it. It also doesn't need a high level shotgun bolt to be good, however it is still outclassed. #9 - Spitfire Holy moly, this LMG is busted. It's extreme damage and high mag capacity slightly balances out its slowness, it's one of the few guns you can "spray and pray" with and is almost impossible to defeat in close-to-mid-range combat. Unfortunately it is very slow, and not as good as weapons higher on this list, and it's high mag has a side effect of a high demand for ammo. #8 - Devotion You thought the Spitfire was busted? The Spitfire can hold the Devotion's beer, because this gun is the epitome of broken. It has a lot to boast about, including the fact that it's DPS is even higher than that of the R-99. You only need a few basic attachments to dominate with this gun, but higher full-auto guns are better and don't devour your ammo as quickly. #7 - Prowler It's agile and fast but deadly at the same time (just like the animal). You can easily pop off with this gun if you can find the Selectfire hop up, and even without it. However it does need attachments to truly shine, which is the only thing holding it back. However it may take the throne when it becomes a CP gun and replaces the R-99 in Season 7. #6 - G7 Scout This gun is heavily underrated: it's fire rate is extremely quick and it's damage pricelessly matches that. It can be used at all ranges: long, medium and even close range because it's hipfire accuracy is incredible. It uses light ammo (the most common) and if you can get a double tap attachment, and this will become a much better Hemlok. #5 - R-301 If we're being honest here, the R-301 is the strongest assault rifle. It's smooth, rapid and deadly at the same time. An amazing gun at all ranges and the gun which suits all aggressive playstyles. #4 - Wingman The Wingman is the strongest floor loot gun at the moment and for good reason. It has a very high skill cap and most players won't be able to thrive with it. But the scary truth is that no gun can beat a pro with the Wingman. Rate of fire and damage are disgustingly and broken-ly unbalanced with this revolver, so if you hit at least 70% of your shots, you can dominate, dominate and dominate your lobbies. It's also the only pistol that can actually be good at mid-to-long-range as well. #3 - Kraber The best sniper rifle hats down and also the strongest gun in the game, dealing up to 435 headshot damage. It's really easy to learn and easy to hit shots, and this gun will scare off your opponents. It is busted, but it is also the weakest CP gun because it's not as useful as the other two. #2 - Peacekeeper Even if it wasn't a CP gun, this gun would dominate. It can be used at close-to-mid-range, and does a ton of damage. It rules over the shotgun class and the entire weapon meta of this season as the second-best close range gun. #1 - R-99 The R-99 SMG takes the throne of this season's weapon meta with pride and ease. This will not last long as the R-99 will go back to the floor, but it will still be in at least the top 2 floor loot guns. It will shred your opponents quicker than they can say pizza. It uses the most common type of ammo so it's extreme consumption of ammo is not as huge a problem as with the Spitfire and Devotion. Literally everyone uses that gun and it's suuuuuch a noob gun. It's so OP that I literally can't even pick up a different close range weapon anymore cuz whoever I fight will kill me first with the r99. All you gotta do is get close and hipfire spray and you'll kill anyone, no matter the armor. NERF IT, it takes zero skill to use. please5.7KViews5likes89CommentsSeason 21 Weapon Tier List
I never thought that Apex somehow was able to make a meta when it came to the weapons. Me personally I never thought of a weapons meta in a game like Apex because I usually will use the first two weapons I get from the floor to see how they are from beginning to end game because my mindset at the time was any and every weapon can get the job done but clearly my mindset change over the past couple of seasons. Here is the tier list of the weapons of this season even though the season just started. Also care package weapons won't be in this list. Also this is only my opinion it's not official. S Tier: Havoc, Prowler, Triple Take, Sentinel A Tier: Flatline, Volt SMG, Spitfire, Rampage, G7-Scout, Peacekeeper, Mastiff B Tier: R-301, Hemlok, Nemesis, Alternator, 30-30 Repeater, Longbow DMR, Charge Rifle, Mozambique, RE-45, P2020 C Tier: R99, Car SMG, Wingman.5.3KViews3likes0Comments
