[PC/MAC] Cannot Load Into Lots after Aug 19 Update
After the 19 August 2025 patch, my game is literally unplayable. I am able to load as far as the main menu, and I can choose a save to load, but I cannot load any lots. When attempting to load a rental lot, I was getting an error that said something like "the game has reached a break point". When attempting to load any other lots, the game simply crashes and auto-quits. I have removed all mods and I still get the same result. A clean game gives the same result. I am playing on Windows 11, using NVIDIA graphics and DX11 I'm currently in the process of repairing my game and I'm crossing my fingers that this will resolve the issue, but I'm not optimistic. This thread is currently for PC/Mac only. It's unfortunately impossible to help if information is not provided. Everyone just says they have the same issue with no info. The problem with endless loading/map reload and crashing is that there isn't one cause that covers all. The causes range from game stuff to mod issues to mods-removed issues and without further info, Maxis (and we helpers) cannot determine what the cause is or help you get back in the game. If you see this error: Please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and delete Version.tag. You'll need to open the folders manually; the file won't show up in a search. If this doesn't help, please move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, then try to launch the game again.
Sims 4 DLC from Steam or Epic Greyed Out on EA app for Mac (Worked on Origin)
Hello does anyone know how to bypass this monstrosity on a new Mac App?? I just want to play my game - upon being forced to install the EA app some of my packs were missing. I tried downloading the older versions of Origin but it still happens... Edit - edited title to better reflect issue (Bluebellflora)
Files aren’t showing up in the game
Hi guys I’m desperately in need of help please. Recently i downloaded a mod ( I know, stupid ) and i tried to delete it safely by making a copy of my Sims 3 Map/files in downloads and then deleting the original file + deleting the mods out of the new file. Didn’t work. All my downloads are gone. When I enter the game it has fully reseted. I put my original files back from the trashcan but it still doesn’t work. Please, what do I have to do? Im so sad

My pictures are black after I load back into my game on console. There is NO way to recover them other than loading a backup. Even if Maxis fixes the bug that they disappear you will not have them back as the information is just not there anymore. They should stay save that way although there are also mixed reports for those After you took pictures you really care about, save your game. To me it looks like that the pictures aren't properly saved to your game if you click save & Exit. Click save first, then exit without saving.

Hi! So, last night I tried to buy an expansion pack for The Sims 4 but everytime I tried I got an error message #54001 I tried searching for a solution in the answers hq and tried LITERALLY EVERYTHING they said: another card, paypal, removing and readding my payment method, checked my billing details, checked my location, different browsers, from the EA app, from phone, from the game too, and tried to gift it to myself from an other profile but I cannot bc you can't gift DLCs so in my final desperation I tried to contact a live agent thru email. It took a lot of time for them to answer and it seems like they didn't even read my problem bc they wrote down everything I tried before, so it was like speaking to a wall, sorry not sorry. So it would be great to finally find a solution, its really annoying that I literally try to give them my money but I cannot, so please help me! Game launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3, maybe someone has ideas how to fix this problem. I play in Mac. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled but unfortunately it didn't help. I bought a new world - Roaring Heights Gold Edition but I can't download it in my game when launcher crashes.'WWW' main menu bug & error code 102:457b7b46
It started with this "WWW" bug. When I try to load a game, it takes me to the worlds menu, allows me to choose a household, loads for 5 seconds, & takes me right back to the worlds menu. I uninstalled & reinstalled. I renamed "The Sims 4" folder within Documents' "Electronic Arts" folder - twice. Over and over, I've repaired & cleared the cache (App Recovery). I've tried removing "localthumbcache.package" & "avatarcache.package." I updated my MacBook Air. I removed all my mods & custom content, finding 2 corrupted files; still, I added them back in batches & everything was okay. I got it working & have no idea how, though it was short lived. After creating 1 sim, I chose the lot & it immediately gave me "error code 102:457b7b46," encouraging me to restart the game. (I've never seen this error before & after all my attempts to remedy "WWW," I've never seen it again.) Unsurprisingly, restarting didn't do anything helpful: I was returned to the "WWW" glitch. I saw a post from 6 years ago that indicated the error code was related to mods, but this "WWW" continues to occur when there are NO mods or custom content in my game. I am a total loss here, and, if you can't tell, SO desperate to fix this. If it helps, my game version is indicated in the bottom left of the screenshot. I have Horse Ranch Expansion, Toddler Stuff, Seasons, Romantic Garden Stuff, Parenthood, Kids Room Stuff, Jungle Adventure, Island Living, Growing Together, Get to Work, Dream Home Decorator, Discover University, and Cats & Dogs. In advance, thank you so so SO much for literally any guidance or help you can provide (and for reading my long post). Let me know if more information is needed.
Business Panel Doesn't Show Owned Businesses
Recently, I am now unable to fill vacancies or properly manage the lot I purchase. After purchasing lot, I can open the ‘owned business’ panel, but to fill vacancy you must return home. Once on home lot, the ‘owned business panel’ no longer shows my rental unit. When looking at world map, when hovering over new rental I just purchased, it does show I own. The only time I’m successful in getting the ‘owned business panel’ to identify that I own property, is after clicking the build/buy mode while on rental lot and returning to live mode. Therefore, all I can do is buy the lot, and change the rental agreement. I cannot however find tenants or collect rent. I play sims 4 on Xbox. Please help!
