[PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode
Commander, you’ve received a new message at your private terminal! When downloading Mass Effect 3 or Mass Effect Andromeda, players may run into one of the following errors: Mass Effect 3 - "An online pass is required to access the online features of the game." Mass Effect Andromeda - "Missing Online Access" Changes to the EA account cause these specific errors. These can include but are not limited to the following: EA Play subscription expired Account Mergers A separate account downloaded the DLC If you encounter this error when launching the game, first try the following steps to see if this resolves the error(s). Delete EA License Files: Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER Delete all files within this folder. Clear Windows temp files: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER" Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it. (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.) If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact our Support Team who will review your EA account and make any necessary changes with you. Chose the following options In the search bar, type in "find missing content" Click the link to the article How to find your missing EA in-game content Scroll to the bottom and click "Contact us" In the chat window, proceed through the missing content questions. List Mass Effect Andromeda or Mass Effect 3 as the game. Type in PC for the platform. Once this information is given, it should provide you with a chat option that will connect you with an advisor. Please describe your issue - Short, sweet, and to the point! For Example, "I downloaded Mass Effect 3 or Mass Effect Andromeda, and when I logged into multiplayer, I was met with an error that said I was missing the "Online Access." This is preventing me from connecting to multiplayer mode." At this point, you should be connected to an advisor who will be able to assist you with your account and getting you back into the game. I have been playing MEA for 595 hours total, and today in mid game I get disconnect from EA server. Needless to say, I exited as usual to main hit square for connect as usual. I then wait for few seconds then see failed to connect to network. I then try several more times only to see failed to connect to network message every time. I clear data, cookies, etc. I clear anything I am able deleted game re installed it and DLCs. I checked internet running 106mb DL and 10mb upload speeds with PSN online and connected. I can sign in on phone and computer to my EA account, but still unable to connect to EA andromeda server. I shut PS5 off for over an hour cleared everything again. I then did restart of PS5 system and made sure everything was connecting online before loading ME Andromeda again. I get to main screen where it says hit X to start. I hit X wait for it to load to choice screen. Watching the top saying connecting. I then see it fail again with network error message. I manage to play for 595 total hours, and was working on 2nd Plus playthrough when this started and it so far will not correct. Any help would be appreciated as I have already tried everything support asked me to that I was able to access on PS5 system. I didn't want to have to lose both second playthroughs if at all possible. I have un linked, and re linked game(account) with PSN. Hey I keep getting the missing online access error when launching MEA. I've tried every solution I can find online with no success. I downloaded mass effect Andromeda yesterday through pc gamepass and when I launch it, it tells me "missing online access" looking through the forums it seems like everyone is having this problem. Please fix it for me! The ea support chatbot refuses to connect me to a real person or actually help me in anyway, it just keeps asking the same questions referring me to the same article that is no help. Trying to playing Mass Effect Andromeda, every time I launch the game it shows that I'm Missing Online Access. I bought the game through Steam and don't know if that effects it or not. Hello, a couple days ago I reinstalling Mass Effect Andromeda on my steam account MisterDiego310, to play it again. Since then each time I try to get in the Online Features are disabled with the message: Missing Online Access. I can't Import or Export my character personalization nor can I access the Multiplayer side, and it is very frustrating because 2 years ago I bought and played the game normally, but now this issue is making me reconsider buying EA games if they are going to have this kind of online problems. I followed the troubleshooting guide on the EA Support page, but none of them have worked. I deleted and reinstalled the game, logged off and on and even uninstalled the EA App to check if those things could fix it up but nothing... Yes, another one of these. After spending many hours over multiple days discussing this issue with both EA and Steam support I was finally told to just report my issue here. In short, you have probably heard this one before. When I boot up Mass Effect Andromeda it greets me with the error message "You are not allowed to access the online features of this game". After following the steps outlined in this ( [PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode | EA Forums - 9200656 ) forum post to no avail I contacted the EA support for the first time. Over the course of a few hours with multiple support agents attempting to help the end result was, that their internal system does not recognize me owning the game in the first place. They instructed me to reach out to Steam support since I had bought the game through them and ask for "the specifics of the purchase" (The automatic translation making it quite difficult to actually follow what exactly they were trying to tell me by the way). So I did just that, with the Steam Support getting back to me after two days stating that on their end all is fine, I own the game and it is registered in their system. Great, back to EA support I was sent. I explained my issue for what felt like the 100th time and eventually the support agent figured out that yes, indeed, their system does not recognize any ownership on my account of a product key regarding Mass Effect Andromeda. After telling me that they would help me if they could, they said they would report it to their internal team and sent me here to report my issue once more, hence this post. No matter what I try the game wont launch, it seems multiple people have been having this issue but so far nothing has been fixed, its clearly something to do with the ea app. I own the game on steam and every time I try to start it I see the ea app start to load then it disappears and the games is no longer launching, if the ea app is already running, launching the game will cause the app to close then reopen. Btw i have tried reinstalling the game, the app, restarting my pc, updating windows, clearing the ea app cache and more but the problem still remains.
