Hello, I am having troubles with my game. When I start Sims, and select my household the game is stuck in an infinite loading loop. I've tried repairing the game, deleting cache files and starting with a new sims 4 folder but nothing has worked. The saved game has the lot challenges; off the grid and recycle discipline. I don't know if maybe that is the problem. I have no mods or cc. Thanks!Solved968Views4likes11CommentsFirst Time Install -> Crash On Launch
Hello! Not sure where else to turn. I have done 2 complete uninstalls/reinstalls of both the EA app and TS4. Have removed all expacs. I have cleared cache. I have ran as administrator. I have updated drivers accordingly with their software. I have updated windows to its latest possible iteration. Restarted computer between each change. The same thing happens every time. I open the EA desktop app and launch vanilla Sims 4. Window shows big blue Maxis symbol and The Sims 4 insignia. Window closes and I'm staring at the launcher again. Any help would be appreciated. This PC runs heavier games right out of the box without a sweat, so I'm struggling to understand why this wont even launch. Attached is the file from dxdiag. If another crashlog is needed, please let me know where to find it and I will attach it promptly.SolvedInfinite saving/loading screens
I originally started having this issue after the September update and saw other people were having the same issue and followed all the advice given. updated all mods removed all CC started a new save (with no CC) removed off-the-grid lot types switched back to DX9 Unfortunately, none of these worked so I decided to wait until the next patch and try again. After the October patch, I updated everything and it's still happening. Whether I'm loading/travelling with a family, exiting CAS, or saving when building on a community lot. I'm completely out of ideas of what I can do at this point; I have plenty of space on my PC and while loading can be slow sometimes, I know that's because I have quite a few packs and CC and I've never minded. But the infinite screens are getting too much, I can't play the game at all without running in to one and I end up losing any progress I've made. Really hoping someone can help or this bug can be lessened at least in the next update. 🤞Sept 2024 update broke loading screen to main menu and exiting cas
I carried out the update yesterday. Updated every mod I had that I was aware needed updating, at first I could get into the game but the game would crash going out of CAS whether it was live mode, from the household management or a new save etc so I went OK must be a mod. Dragged out the entire mod folder from my game to be sure, tested it. Still faulting. Removed the entire sims 4 folder so all saves, trays etc will be new, still happening while 100% vanilla. Uninstalled and reinstalled sims, repaired for probably the 07th time. Now when I try to go in (still vanilla, no saves or tray files etc, no mods at all) I get stuck at the loading screen like it can't progress to the main menu option. I've managed to get into the game, but after going into CAS still crashes on exit, ticked to use the direct x9 which seems to have rectified the cas issue except every second attempt im still stuck at the loading screen for the main menu to get into any saves. I've already done every basic troubleshooting method I can think of, just wanting to know if anyone else is stuck like this?4.1KViews16likes29CommentsWhy Does My Screen Look Like This After Update?
This is what my screen looks like when I go to play with Sims 4. I have reinstalled and uninstalled the game but my screen still looks like this for me. I have plenty of storage and memory on my computer to play this game. I only started having this issue after I did this week's update. Please HELP!!!161Views1like8CommentsCan't launch the sims 4 anymore
When i try to launch the game i keep getting a message that the file isn't found. I need to repair the game and when i do it keeps telling me there is a permission error. I've already emptied the cache, uninstalled and re-installed, repaired the game numerous times and nothing seems to stick! Sometimes the game will start and i can play it with no problems and when i close the game, shut down my laptop and try to launch the game a few hours later it suddenly doesn't work anymore... I don't use any mods or cc!!49Views0likes5CommentsMy game has just been deleted.
I had a great game with lots of features and a big family, but my progress just disappeared. I had to keep the internet on all the time and use up my data, but it still didn't work even after trying to fix it.I had a great game with lots of features and a big family, but my progress just disappeared. Hello! This is the first time I have received this error and I don't know what to do! I already contacted EA for help, and they redirected me to post about it on the forums. What happens is when I try to launch Sims 4 to play, I receive an error stating "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall the game." (attachment provided) I removed all cc/mods and additional files (like saves and tray) to a different location. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall both Sims 4 and the EA App thoroughly and did the scan after. I reinstalled both the EA App and Sims 4, which took all night, and error still remains. I tried doing a repair on the Sims 4 game, error still remains. At this point, I have no files from the game so this is completely mod and cc free. Before the update, I had no issues. I have had played Sims 4 ever since the first game released and this is the first time I have seen this error. I have no idea what else I can do! Is the game just unplayable for me now? I will note I am running an older version of Windows (Windows 7 to be exact). I did another suggestion that said to run dxdiag to receive error info (also attached). So I have already done this step. So, like many others on here - I am having an issue with Sims 4 crashing all of a sudden when it never did before. I have tried: Moving folder full of game data to my desktop Complete uninstall and reinstall of EA Multiple Repairs and restarts Clearing caches Chose Direct9 on game options and lowered from Ultra to High Uploaded and installed new drivers for Nvidia, etc. Ran Malwarebytes and Windows defender I have no CC or Mods installed for this game. I did several other things as well. I have no idea what is going on, but to say that I am frustrated would be an understatement. I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game and 70+ expansions. I need a fix ASAP. I am attaching my DxDiag to this for support. Please help!
