Hello JanaeBake93
Have you tried these steps to see if the game was not damaged due to incompatibility:
- Go to Documents/ Electronic Arts/ The Sims 4/
Cut the Mods folder and paste it somewhere else (for example the desktop) - Delete the localthumbcache.package file that is in Documents/ Electronic Arts/ The Sims 4
- Repair the game from the EA app
- Go into the game and start a new game and check if everything works correctly. (Without putting the Mods folder back)
Regards 😊
- Go to Documents/ Electronic Arts/ The Sims 4/
JanaeBake93 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and play long enough to see whether it crashes.
If you do get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
ElhaSims The OP said they already removed their mods and repaired the game.
