New Season 2 Update broke Tank zoom.
Since the update the aim sensitivity when zoomed in has been halved. The new settings have no effect on it. I can change the vehicle aim sensitivity for 3rd person and for zoomed in at the same time, but not individually, even though thats exactly what these new settings imply to do. The remote controlled gun (MG Turret) and other vehicles like the Sliders gun are not affected. Only the MBT and IFV. I restarted the game and joined several different matches to test this, the new settings seem to have no effect. Also the Settings "Vehicle Mouse Aim Sensitivity" seems to be broken. It appears twice, once in the "Mouse and Keyboard" settings tab, and once under the "Vehicle Settings -> Aim" Subsection. But the one in the subsection always has exactly half the value of the one in the "Keyboard and Mouse" menu - changing one changes the other exactly by a factor of 2. This also reflects the halfed zoomed in aiming sensitivity. The "Zoom Sensitivy Coefficient" does also absolutely nothing. Either one of the settings is mislabed, or its writing a wrong setting internaly. Either way, after 30 minutes in the settings menu I cannot fix it and confirmed it to be a bug. I did try and change the vehicle individual settings, turned on and off the uniform aiming, everything. Im on PC (Windows 10) using the Steam version. Heres a screenshot: (My "normal" sensitivy is 25.3)1.1KViews33likes23CommentsDaily challenge "complete a match" doesn't appear until after restarting game
After the Season 2 update, the daily challenge "Complete a match in any game mode" does not appear in daily challenges when you first start the game after a daily reset. There will only be 2 challenges in the dailies. After restarting the game, this 3rd challenge appears.21Views0likes2CommentsFeedback and Suggestions for Battlefield 6
Hello to the dev team and the community! After spending several hours on Battlefield 6, I wanted to share some feedback and suggestions that I believe could make the overall experience even better. 1. Map Size, I find that the current maps are a bit too small. Fights often feel too confined and lack the strategic depth that made previous Battlefield titles so great. Larger maps would allow better vehicle usage and bring back that epic large-scale battle feeling the series is known for. 2. New and Classic Maps, While new maps are always welcome, it would also be amazing to see the return of some classic maps from older Battlefield games — such as Operation Metro or Laguna Presa. These iconic maps hold a lot of nostalgia for players and would add great variety to the current rotation. 3. New and Iconic Weapons, Adding new weapons would help refresh gameplay, but I’d also love to see the return of classic iconic weapons like the M1 Garand, M16A4, AS VAL, M98B, MP5K, F2000, L96A1, or XM8. These weapons were an important part of Battlefield’s identity and would be a welcome comeback for longtime fans. 4. Conquest System and Ribbons, Bringing back flag icons within conquest zones, as in older titles, would improve visibility and immersion during battles. Also, bringing back ribbons (earned for in-game actions) would be a great way to reward players for their specific playstyles and contributions to the team. 5. New Squads and Faction Variety, It would be great to add new squads within the factions, each with unique appearances, accents, and equipment. This could also be a perfect opportunity to bring back old class skins from previous Battlefield games, which added extra personality and variety to the soldiers. Overall, Battlefield 6 has a lot of potential, and with a few tweaks like these, it could feel even more authentic to the Battlefield spirit. Thanks to the devs for listening and for all their hard work!1.6KViews12likes32CommentsTime Nudge (TN) issue Megathread
Hello! I've been dealing with issues relating to Time Nudge spikes (can manifest either as high lag or "slow-motion") and high consistent Time Nudge since about Battlefield 2042 update #3.0.0, and these issues have persisted into the BF6 beta, keeping me from pulling the $70 trigger on BF6. I've done research on the causes and "fixes" (though none of them are complete fixes) of the issues caused by Time Nudge, which I'll outline below. Cause: Time nudge, in most cases, appears to be introduced when the CPU can't keep up with the traffic from the server. Time nudge itself is a buffer that waits for the CPU to either process the packets sent by the server or re-sync with the tick speed of the server. This does not, however, mean more powerful CPUs don't have this issue and less powerful ones do - it seems to be almost random which devices have issues with time nudge and which don't: even some consoles have had issues with time nudge in Battlefield 2042. As for it being an internet, location, or router-related issue, I've eliminated those factors by: 1. Changing my ISP and router (for a different reason, but the issue persisted) 2. Using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet (it didn't matter) 3. Even though I live in a major server city, I took my computer traveling out east and still had no dice with fixing the issue on hotel Wi-Fi. The issue is often found in systems whose CPUs have high utilization or are throttling (as is expected), but I've run 2042 and the BF6 beta on 60% CPU utilization well under 80 degrees C with the issue persisting. Your system not getting enough airflow could be an issue causing Time Nudge spikes. From what I've seen, the issue appears both on Intel and AMD chips across multiple generations, including mobile and desktop chips, and across multiple motherboard models as well. It's likely a slight mismatch with something in certain specific CPUs and the Netcode that causes the issues to appear. The issue is not GPU-related: it persists on integrated graphics and both graphics cards I own, and changing graphics settings or turning on DLSS does not majorly affect how severe the issue is. This has been consistent throughout my research into the topic. Additionally, the games usually run with very high framerate and high GPU overhead even when the issue occurs. The issue could be RAM-related in some cases. Tweaking some RAM-related settings in BIOS can relieve some issues relating to Time Nudge. Solutions: The issue can be relieved partially for some devices by lowering the max framerate in the game settings below what it normally . This may give some overhead for the CPU to run network-related processes and Additionally, user-created .cfg files have been circulating that limit CPU usage for the game to only about half of what it would use otherwise. These haven't worked at all for me, but seem to have had some effect in other users' issues. Note that this fix -- pretty much universally -- has been said to not completely solve the issue, but rather alleviate it a bit. For those who have the option, enabling an XMP profile for RAM in your bios could alleviate the issue. Alternatively, adding more RAM to your system could eliminate any issues in the CPU failing to communicate with memory, and give the CPU enough overhead to perform other tasks. Resetting your BIOS or re-installing your OS or game is not a valid way of alleviating this issue, from my attempts at doing all three and anecdotal evidence from other threads. Something I read relating to Time Nudge that seems important to note: "It's an issue with no clear cause and no solution." Everybody's case will be different, and the issue is probably not solvable either on your end or EA's end. As far as I can tell, the only way to completely solve the issue would be to swap to a different CPU, including using a potentially older one. If you have a laptop or a system with a soldered-on CPU, getting a new device to play the game on may be your only option if the fixes I've listed and the ones in the comments don't work. If I missed any solutions (I definitely did), feel free to drop them in the comments. Conclusion: I'm writing this in part to get the attention of EA staff, of whom only one has responded to any time-nudge related thread before (2 years ago). This is an issue that is preventing a not insignificant amount of players from enjoying your game, and one that needs to be solved. This is not an issue for me in any Battlefield game other than 2042 and 6, and not in any other multiplayer game either. Edit 10/25/2025: Just gonna leave an update here - consensus among quite a few posts (here and elsewhere) has shown that if you're having Time Nudge issues on the 60hz servers, playing on the 30hz Community servers is an option. The 60hz servers are just more difficult for the CPU to juggle network traffic with, so a slower tick rate server should alleviate the issue a little. I've bought BF6 and will post the results of me trying those 30hz Community / Portal servers. Something about those servers to note: there has been community pushback against DICE for their decision to make those servers 30hz. While this is a reasonable criticism from a gameplay perspective, a switch to all-60hz servers could end a way for us experiencing this Time Nudge issue to play the game. Due to that community pushback, and assuming the TN issue isn't addressed in a near-future update, you can expect that method of playing the game to vanish after some time. Another thing to note for some users, especially with portable devices: changing power plan settings to not throttle (pick High Performance mode in "Choose a power plan" in Windows search) has had some effect in mitigating this issue with some users I've seen online, especially those with laptops or handheld devices. I will note, however, that altering this did not work for me in 2042 with my laptop.27KViews84likes137CommentsCrashing with no error
Like a lot of others out there I am having issues with the game crashing to desktop without getting any errors or feedback. I was playing fine for a while after launch and then in december I started getting crashes, both without error and DirectX errors. I am no longer getting DX errors but I am crashing to desktop every game with no errors now. Sometimes it takes 2 minutes and sometimes it takes 10, but I cannot finish a single map right now. I have a B850-E WIFI, Ryzen 7 9800X3D and a 5070ti. I play the game through Steam on PC. All other posts out there are months old and people have posted different solutions but none seem universal. Anyone know anything more on this topic that are not in the multiple threads out there?31Views2likes2CommentsGame freezes upon start
I have not played since the first month since BF6 came out. When I try to load the game it starts behind my taskbar, and the only way to fix this is by alt+tab or waiting and minimizing and resizing the game. This causes the game to freeze. I can hear inputs, I can hear sound, but it is stuck on whatever screen it was on when I tabbed out. I play on PC through steam. This was not an issue season 1.13Views0likes1CommentFalse Advertising - Phantom Upgrade
I am posting this because EA appears to be, intentionally or not, scamming players who have bought the game on 2 different platforms. I purchased the phantom edition on Steam initially along with the standard edition on PS5 as I play in 2 different places and having the game on 2 different machines is helpful. Early in season 1 I decided to buy the phantom upgrader on PS5 as well since the PS store listing of the product stated that it included a BFPro token (see screenshot below). Note, there is no mention whatsoever in this listing that the BFPro token must be redeemed in the season of purchase, and no mention of season numbers whatsoever. Given my Phantom Edition on Steam already gave me access to BFPro, it would literally be useless to me on PS5 if it didn't act like a regular currency. However, the forum post linked below seems to imply that the BFPro token only gets you access to BFPro in the "season of first play". BF Pro & Phantom Edition — Season 2 Clarification Needed | EA Forums - 13194218 This disclaimer is NOWHERE to be seen on either the Playstation or Steam listings of the Phantom Upgrade pack (again, see screenshots below). As such, I bought the pack under pretenses that I would be able to use it, and now EA is suggesting that I don't have access to it due to a disclaimer that was not communicated to me at the point of purchase? Furthermore, this reddit post shows that phantom edition cosmetics now transfer between platforms despite not doing so at launch. This now means that the second Phantom Edition literally offers NO BENEFIT for $40 AUD. I have already sent 10+ emails to EA support over this issue and have been told to post here to have it addressed after being passed around from agent to agent. This treatment of a paying customer is very disappointing to say the least. In Australia, this is type of misleading advertising is against the law. If it is a mistake, I would like an EA representative to acknowledge it and rectify the situation for me and users like me who bought two copies of the phantom edition thinking that it would give them 2 separate BF Pro tokens to be redeemed during different seasons. The "season of first play" disclaimer doesn't work if the user isn't told about it before purchasing it. Either that, or the cost of the Phantom Upgrade should be refunded to the original point of purchase. If neither of these solutions are possible, I'm afraid I'll have to take action with the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) by alerting them to this misleading advertising.
