The computer freezes completely and I have to reboot.
Hello, I've been struggling with this problem for six months now. It manifests itself strangely: you can play for a couple hours and everything will be fine, but then it crashes the 6th or 7th game because of it. It freezes so completely that I have to reboot the computer with the button. Sometimes resetting the secure boot keys helps, but not always. What's interesting is that before the freeze, the FPS can drop from 120 to 50-40 for a few seconds, followed by the game crashing. During the freeze, the Windows log shows an error message saying "You need to update your secure boot keys/CA," but updating them doesn't solve the problem. Also, if I wait a few seconds during a freeze, I get a BSOD with the stop code "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION." OC: Windows 10 22H2 MB: Gigabyte X870E elite wifi 7 Processor: Ryzen 9800X3D (No overclocking) Graphic Card: RTX 5090 (Undervolted, Driver 591.86) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x32 6000MHz The game is installed on an SSD, which passes all integrity checks. P.S. Undervolting the video card didn't affect this issue; I tested it with the stock card and it didn't help. Moreover, these issues don't occur in more demanding games like CB2077, Wukong, RE9, etc.214Views0likes9CommentsPC freezing after 10min off playing BF6 since update today 16.4.2026
Yesterday all was fine and I could play BF6 without any issue. Since today, it doesn't matter what I configure, after about 10min off playing freeze. Only hard reset of the PC let it start again. Here the crash dump attached. Chat GPT said its an issue from the Battlefield update today. Hi everyone, I’ve been dealing with a persistent crash issue that already existed during the Battlefield 6 Beta and still occurs in the full release. The game always crashes while loading into any map (around 30%), without any error message - just a silent return to desktop. Interestingly, I can play on the shooting range without issues, walk around and shoot, but as soon as I try to load a multiplayer match, a RedSec match, or even the campaign, the game crashes during the loading screen. This issue is 100% reproducible. It happens every single time, in exactly the same way. I’ve attached a video showing the crash behavior and a DxDiag file for reference, and a ZIP containing the last 4 crash dump files. My System: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X GPU: PowerColor RedDevil RX 7900 XTX RAM: 32GB G.Sklill DDR4 Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming OS: Windows 11 (fully updated) Driver: AMD Adrenalin 25.10.2 Platform: Steam What I've already tried: Verified game files multiple times (always finds 3 corrupted files and replaces them - no improvement) Fresh Windows 11 installation Deleted cache folder Disabled Resizable BAR, SVM, and Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) Checked TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot settings - both configured correctly Used DDU in Safe Mode to clean-install several AMD drivers Tested with -dx11 in steam launch option Tried all display modes (Fullscreen, Borderless, Windowed) Disabled all overlays (EA App, Steam, Radeon, etc.) Disabled all optional AMD Adrenalin features (Chill, Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync, etc.) Reinstalled EA Anti-Cheat manually I’ve sacrificed a small goat to the Frostbite gods - no improvement. Updated BIOS to the newest stable version Reset BIOS to defaults and tested with/without DOCP profile Underclocked and undervolted the GPU (to rule out instability or power limit issues) Limited the framerate (tried 30, 100, 120, and uncapped) and set all graphics settings to the lowest possible values - still crashes at the same loading point I've analyzed one of the crash dump files with ChatGPT. It pointed to a function related to FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR2) inside the game’s Frostbite engine. In simple terms, it looks like the crash happens when the engine tries to initialize or handle FSR2 rendering resources, which could explain why it always occurs while loading into a map. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Solved1.1KViews0likes13Comments06 oct 25 Our Seasons will have more content than ever before in a BF
So? Where do we start? Do you want me to list what I got from Battlefield 4? 4 maps, 5 weapons, 2 vehicles every 3 months 20 maps in Season 5 The game cost 45 euros. If you wanted premium, you paid between 20 and 30 euros and got a finished game. With Battlefield 6, I spent 100 euros to get none of that. And besides, the game was an alpha launch full of errors and bugs that they haven't even fixed or optimized for 5 or 6 months, from gameplay errors to wrong VRAM calculations, or a Snapping mouse ONGOING QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS? Seriously, guys?😆PSA: Mouse Input is broken in this game (looks similar to bad frame timing)
Mouse input is broken, which ruins an otherwise well optimised game. This looks to be getting confused with poor frame timing in a lot of threads, but controller input is unaffected. For reference, I easily average over 100fps even on the bigger maps, but panning the camera with mouse input makes the game feel like it's running at 15fps despite no drops. In-game reporting confirms it's running perfectly, as CPU/GPU are always rendering within 10fps of eachother. Connect a controller though? Buttery smooth camera panning, and easy to track enemies. No hitches or stutters, just butter. I've tried: - All polling rates, from 125hz up to 4000hz - Toggling raw input on/off - Enabling/disabling Nvidia reflex - Changing USB ports, changing to different mice, wired/wireless - USB power saving etc all turned off - I even tried a driver/Nvidia CP restore, but as controller is super smooth, this was a long shot in the first place Unfortunately the game is unplayable using a mouse on PC due to this. It's next to impossible to track targets, and you quickly get a headache from the micro stuttering when panning. The effect is very similar to Helldivers 2 on PC, when you turn off 'Mouse Smoothing', as that game has serious issues with raw mouse input. Happy to hear suggestions on how to fix this. Mice tried: - Keychron M4 - Logitech G305 - Logitech G604 - Razer Naga Hyperspeed - AttackShark M1 I've also tried on an entirely different PC, same results. OLED as always exhacerbates the issue too, due to the awesome pixel response times. I fear many won't see it due to slower LCDs. Specs are: 5700x3d 3060ti 8GB 32GB DDR4 3600 CL16 AW3423DW (Gsync module version) This is on a fresh Windows install, up to date drivers (tried DDU as well to be sure), but honestly since it's running beautifully with a controller, this looks to be purely a mouse input issue. No other games exhibit this issue other than... Helldivers 2, and Battlefield V. BF1 is butter on mouse, as are BF3 and BF4. Helldivers 2 can be fixed by turning on mouse smoothing in game. I almost bought a GPU upgrade before testing the Xbox controller, saved myself £600. Latest CM post: Hi everyone, Thanks for sharing your experiences and feedback so far. We understand this issue is especially frustrating when it impacts your ability to play smoothly with a mouse. While we’ve asked for similar information before (here), to move forward and make meaningful progress, it is absolutely essential that you provide detailed and precise information responding to the specific request below. Giving vague comments without concrete details won’t help us troubleshoot, escalate, or investigate effectively. If you’re able to, please reply directly to this post by clicking the Reply button on this post. This keeps your info neatly organised and makes it much easier for us (and the studio) to track everything. Please avoid replying to the original post or posting at the bottom of the thread, as this makes it harder for everyone to follow the conversation. Here’s what would be super helpful for us to know: Mouse mode (wired or wireless) Mouse polling rate (e.g. 1000Hz) Whether you’re using mouse software (like Razer Synapse) Where your mouse is plugged in (PC, monitor, hub, etc.) Keyboard model and connection type (wired/wireless) Keyboard polling rate Whether you’re using keyboard software Where your keyboard is plugged in Monitor model Full PC specs (CPU, GPU with driver version, RAM) Full Windows OS version (not just "Windows 11") Whether Gsync or VRR is enabled Full screen mode (fullscreen, borderless, windowed) Which platform do you play on (EA app or Steam) Any overlays active during play (Discord, EA app, Nvidia overlay, etc.) CPU and GPU usage percentages while playing Whether the issue improves with a framerate cap (e.g. 125 FPS) The more details you can share, the better we can help. We know it’s a lot to ask, but this is the only way we can ensure the right information reaches the team and move things forward. Thanks so much for your patience and for helping us out with this. We really appreciate it!100KViews227likes1409CommentsCan't launch BF6 After UPDATE 1.2.3.0
Todays BF6 update on 14th April 2026, is crashing on the EA anticheat launch The game worked fine this morning before the update, tried repairing EA anticheat, and repairing BF6, updating GPU drivers, bios update etc, nothing works I'm using the EA app (not Steam) incase that is the problem Event viewer shows errors with a source of EA Javelin Anticheat when I try and launch BF6, with the details showing an error of "The game bf6.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC0000604" I could play earlier this morning before the update, now it just crashes684Views6likes18CommentsScoreboard/chat window stuck on screen and cant do anyting aaaaaaaand more
It happened more time than it should when I check the scorboard and try to interact with it its gets stuck on the screen and the only way to "fix" it is to Alt+F4. Now if you have this mid game kiss goodbye to the XP and everything... Full price game btw. Same happenes with chatwindow. Try to type a message to the team or tell them to step on a LEGO. Good luck cuz it will freeze on screen and cant type, cant use menu and you guesed it Alt+F4 again cuz its a full price game. Not even mentioning the dogwater performance with packet loss since the latest main update becuse of course its a full price game btw. Anti cheat might as well be deleted becuse i can count on 1 hand how many games I had in a week since I didn't get matched with some math equation named 150ms pinged 50/1 players (infantry and not in a tank/heli/jet). But hey at the end of the day its a full price game. Wanna do weekly tasks? Good go for it but be aware it will only count half of your progresion (mainly if its "Play as X class 5 games"). Still a full price game btw. Desync/netcode needs a bit of a fix too.. I get behind cover and 2s later I still die? Not even mentioning fighting console people. By the time their machine registers the half a mag I pumped in the back of their heads my hair grows back and falls out again. Im sure that EA Dice is a small indie developer and dont have the manpower to fix or even impliment basic functionalities into their small full price game btw but I am willing to bet the soul of my first born child that the next 50 skin boundle is already done alongside the next 4 seasons of BP. The least a company should do if they have the audicity to ask FULL PRICE + change for a **bleep** game is to make sure it is actualy tested properly befor you put it out for the consumers. For the love of god redirect the manpower from the BR that nobody asked for and fix the basics of the game pls. Also its a full price dumpsterfire btw.191Views1like3CommentsVPN USE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED
The use of VPNs in Battlefield 6 needs to be addressed immediately. Players are clearly exploiting the system, and it’s affecting the overall integrity of the game. How is it that someone with a red network icon indicating a poor or unstable connection can consistently finish at the top of the leaderboard? This isn’t just coincidence it points to a serious flaw being taken advantage of. When players manipulate their connection through VPNs, it creates an unfair experience for everyone else. Gunfights become inconsistent, hit registration suffers, and the competitive balance is completely thrown off. It’s frustrating to play a match where skill feels secondary to connection exploits. What makes this worse is the perception that these issues aren’t being taken seriously. Instead of addressing core gameplay problems like netcode and VPN abuse, it feels like the focus is elsewhere. If this continues, it’s going to drive players away and hurt the long term health of the game. This needs to be acknowledged and fixed before more of the player base loses confidence.181Views6likes19Comments
