Support Process Question: EA Help vs EA Forums
Dear EA Sports, I was advised by the EA Sports Support team (EA Help) to raise my concerns and issues with the game on the EA Forums, and I was assured that developers and relevant teams are active here. However, despite creating multiple posts outlining my concerns, none of them have been acknowledged by EA staff. I have worked in a corporate environment for over 25 years, and I must say that this level of communication falls well below the standard one would normally expect from a customer support structure. What I find particularly confusing is the process itself. EA Help, which is meant to support customers, redirects players to these forums to raise issues. Yet once customers follow that direction, it appears that no meaningful engagement takes place. From a customer perspective, this creates a situation where players are effectively moved from one support channel to another without their concerns actually being addressed. The only time I received a response was when a post included a three-letter word that apparently violated forum rules. That post received attention immediately, yet the actual concern raised in the post was not addressed in the response. This sends a rather unfortunate message that moderation is active, but meaningful engagement with the issues themselves is not. As a long-standing customer, this is disappointing. I have been playing EA football titles since the very first FIFA, well before the PlayStation era, and I have remained a loyal player for decades. Because of that, I find it difficult to understand why concerns raised by players here receive so little acknowledgement. I fully understand that companies must be careful when responding publicly. However, complete silence is also a response, and it is not a particularly reassuring one. If EA Help directs players to the forums, then the forums should function as a place where issues are at least acknowledged or discussed. Otherwise, the process risks appearing circular — players are redirected to the forums for help, but once they arrive, no help is provided. I would respectfully ask that this process be reconsidered, and that concerns raised here receive at least some level of acknowledgement from the relevant teams. I have earned badges and profile levels on this forum over time, but those are secondary. What matters far more is meaningful communication with the player community. Could EA staff please clarify whether posts raising gameplay concerns are reviewed and whether players can expect responses here? For clarity, could a member of the EA community team or moderation team please confirm whether gameplay concerns raised on this forum are reviewed by the development team, and whether players should realistically expect feedback or acknowledgement when such concerns are raised here? Understanding how this process works would be very helpful for players who have been directed here by EA Help. After not playing for one day my game will not launch and says your windows version is not supported on the launch window. Have restarted PC, verified game files, reinstalled EA app, allowed EA FC 26 and anticheat through firewall and defender, up to date on windows, updated drivers to most recent, ensured game is not running in compatibility mode, and launched as administrator. Platform: PC (Steam → EA App) OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Specs: CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X RAM: 16 GB DDR4 GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080 (10 GB, latest drivers) Input Devices: Keyboard (preferred), Mouse, Controller (tried only, not plugged in usually) Graphics settings: 1920x1080, Uncapped fps(also tried capped to 165), tried vsync on/off, everything else maxed out. EA username: Yesteroff Frequency: Persistent Description: When booting EA FC 26, the game only recognizes Keyboard + Mouse as an input method. I want to play with Keyboard only, which has always been possible in previous FIFA/FC iterations. However, the option to switch input devices is missing from my settings menu. On my first boot, the game allowed me to use Keyboard only, but after restarting the game (to apply new graphics settings), it became permanently locked to Keyboard + Mouse. Since then: I cannot select Keyboard only. Even after unplugging my mouse completely, the game defaults to Keyboard + Mouse. I tested with a controller: it works in Kick Off, but not in Skill Games or Training Center. Other players (example: Youtube video ) appear to have a "Control Device" option in their menus that allows switching between Keyboard, Keyboard + Mouse, or Controller. This option is missing entirely from my game. Steps to Reproduce: Launch EA FC 26 on PC via Steam/EA App. Attempt to configure controls in Settings → Controller. Observe that "Control Device" option is missing. Game defaults to Keyboard + Mouse, with no way to change. Plugging/unplugging peripherals (mouse, controller) does not resolve issue. Expected Result: Players should be able to choose Keyboard only, Keyboard + Mouse, or Controller in the settings menu, as in previous versions. Actual Result: Game is locked to Keyboard + Mouse unless a controller is plugged in, and even then, the controller doesn’t function in all modes. Impact: Long-time PC players who have used Keyboard only for years cannot play the game in their preferred control scheme. Controller use is also inconsistent across game modes, for example, I plugged in my controller, Kick off worked great, but Training centre / Skill Games wouldn't function (even though the overlay implied I should use controller controls; But even keyboard and mouse did nothing to move player ingame) Workarounds Tried: Restarting game. Unplugging mouse. Plugging in/out controller. Verifying game files. Updating drivers. No workaround successful. Severity: Major – prevents normal gameplay for keyboard-only players like me. EDIT: Just noticed that in Kickoff there is a controller input, even though the only peripherals plugged in are my keyboard (Keychron V6 Max) and mouse(Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2). Hi, I have a corrupted card, a severe stuck item issue in FC26 UT that is causing server disconnect error. I cannot resolve this on my end using my game and web app. I purchased a tradeable card (twice). And I believe the first one is corrupted. Whenever I try to join a game with this card the game says it cannot connect to UT servers. Yet when I don't add it to my squad I can play as much as I like. I cannot find the card I bought in rush squads (When I try to select that player in rush, it doesn't show up) I bought another one from transfer market and tried to swap it with the newer one. It is very evident that when your AI are in position they move out of position they tackle behind they run in the wrong direction. The way to win is merely to correct your own teams actions. It is a game of correcting your own team more than playing against your opponent. CB's that should just stay in position to stop forward movement spread out creating gaps. Midfielder that should run back in transition jog back and when you switch to them to bring them back your defenders stand stationary while the opposing attackers run on a easy through pass. RB button to contain your own team runs into you instead of making a simple tackle as the dribbler spins and bobbs and weaves like a methhead. The game literally sabotages you and the in order to win you must play against your own team attempting to lose the ball. Easy passes to teammates right next to you go to the player behind them. Passes attempted to go in one direction away from defenders literally goes straight to the defenders foot on a consistent basis. The game is sabotage. I bought EA FC 26 in November and was playing the game without any issues until last week aprox. Since then, the game constantly crashes during any online game mode (Rivals, Champions, Rush, etc...). This can happen at any moment of the match, and also in the pause menu, and sometimes in the store (xdn't). I don't know why this happens. I think it's an anticheat issue, but I already tried everything (list below) and the issue persists. Disgusting company. I was playing at 1440p, 90fps, 100MHz, borderless and high settings, WITHOUT ANY ISSUE until last week. Changes I made that didn't work: - Medium settings. - Fullscreen. - 60 FPS, 60 MHZ, no vsync, on vysnc. - Nvidia control panel specific settings. - drx11 - Reinstalling. - Reinstalling EA App. - Verifying files. - Resinstalling Anticheat from the .exe - Disabling any overlay (Steam, Nvidia, Overwolf, etc...) - Killing other processes (Vanguard, easy, etc....) - Moving the game from HDD to SSD. - Adding the files to the exclusion settings, firewall permissions and folder reads. - Executing everything as administrator. - I don't have any temperature issues in the CPU or GPU. Actually, CPU are GPU don't even reach 80% usage. - Other REALLY demanding games in high/ultra specs as Cyberpunk, RDR2, MH Wilds, etc... works fine without issues. - Other competitive games work fine without disabling/killing the external process (Warzone, Valorant. Apex) Additionally, I have the virtualization and safe boot enabled because I need to work with WSL, so, disabling these settings is not an option. However, I'm sure these are not a problem because I was playing and working until last week without any issues. But I preferred to mention it. My specs are: Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 3060 DDR4 32GB RAM 3200mhz That said, could EA provide a solution? Or if anyone in the community was able to fix it (although all the strategies above were taken from Reddit and the EA forums). I attached the logs found in the event viewer. Are you winning 3-0 and all of a sudden you start getting bad connection in the icon and lag in the icon. Guess what? You might be a victim of chronus zen and EA's disregard to address the issue. If you report them. In your case it will say closed and no solution available. lol...is that not hilarious? Not any we are actively working on this problem.
