MADDEN 26-27 IMPROVEMENT IDEAS
This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone that reads and I look forward to seeing more thoughts and ideas shared here!The Big 3: Must Haves for M27
Now that the NFL season is over, and all this years major updates to M26 are likely done and over, I would like to simply throw this out there and list 3 bare minimum things I'm going to absolutely need to see in the Trial of M27 on EA Play if I'm going to buy next year. Here we go! A Finished Product: Let me emphasize by saying, there needs to be a distinct difference in what is functional and what is optimal and working as intended. There are a lot of people with a lot of different problems being experienced across multiple gaming platforms every year. I understand that there are going to be bugs and glitches that need to be worked out every year, and I accept that. So what I mean by finished product, is I need every mode to be functioning optimally. Fine tuned. Gameplay affects everyone despite their choice of gaming platform and preferred game mode, and it really needs to be a good all around experience. From USER vs USER gameplay, to USER vs CPU gameplay, and CPU vs CPU gameplay even. I need to see things working as intended in each mode from MUT, to Franchise, to Superstar. Defense this year, especially in Franchise, USER vs CPU gameplay, was absolutely terrible. Guys just literally did not react or were uber slow to react to CPU. Sliders did not help. Coaching abilities barely helped. Blocking, though better than previous years, I still ultimatley felt left something to be desired in every mode after playing for some time. Superstar Mode was just trash. I really need to see these things balanced and working properly on release, and discernible within Trial if I'm going to buy. This should probably be a bare minimum for everyone at this point, despite their choice of gaming platform. Older Rosters/Draft Classes: There's literally just no excuse to keep not having these included for Franchise Players who have been left consistently unhappy for a number of years now. I'll say it again, if the modding community can do it, so can EA. They were in older titles, and if need be, put them up for purchase, but seriously just get these available in the Download Center in any which way you can. It's not only great for average Franchise players, but it would make excellent content for streamers on their respective platforms as well, and I think it's just a no brainer at this point to include them. It's going be a major factor on if I choose to buy after Trial at this point, and I really hope to see this brought up this summer during a reveal; this just needs to happen. Reintroduction: Again, let me emphasize. In the past couple years, we've seen Player Mode and Owner Mode both get chopped from Franchise, and even the ability to do something simple like edit uniform combinations was severely hindered. So here's my point: EA literally cannot afford to regress any further at this point. Period. I need to get "reintroduced" to some things. Maybe it's just the ability do edit uniforms how I want again. Maybe it's a newer version Player or Owner mode for Franchise...maybe it's Stadium Builder within Team Buidler. I don't know what it's going to include necessarily, but it absolutely needs to be something. I shouldn't even have to be begging to get reintroduced to things that Madden titles 20 years ago had, but literally if I see any other signs of regression without the inclusion of some pretty major progess in other areas, I'm simply not buying. So that's my Big 3 I need to see if I'm going to buy come late summer again. Everyone else please feel free to include in the comments what you feel needs to be an absolute MUST if you're going to buy again later this year. They must know at this point that a ton of people aren't happy with the product, so at best, maybe this gets passed on by staff to create a sense of urgency within the company. Either way I look forward to seeing some opinions on what needs to change for people to buy.
Runners getting stuck on linemen
Why does it feel like I get tackled more by my own offensive lineman than the defensive players! Constantly getting stuck/ tripped up by the lineman. Would be very subtle but adding real life animations of how offensive players maneuver around/push off their lineman would instantly solve issue.Cannot log into MUT
I get a error message saying it cannot connect to servers. However I was able to play online in a regular H2H event and I am able to play online with other games. It is extremely frustrating to have regular issues not being able to log into the server, getting error messages in the middle of events and games. How do I get this resolved where I can connect to MUT??
Online H2H Errors
Hi everyone, We're looking into the more recent reports we've been seeing of errors when trying to play a game in Online H2H. We've locked the original thread about these errors to help us better keep track of the reports that have been coming in since last month's title update. If you're still getting errors since the 19th of November, please reply to this thread with the following details: Which platform are you playing on? What is your Xbox Gamertag, PSN ID, EA Account ID, Steam ID, or Nintendo ID? What is the error message you've been seeing? Roughly when did the errors start happening for you? Are you only getting the error with Online H2H, or is it happening with other game modes? This info will be helpful for us to continue looking into these errors. I have ATT Fiber and a Switch 2. But somehow my Madden26 game will randomly crash (almost twice a day when only playing like an hour). Not sure what i could possibly do to fix this other than raise the flag in hope Maddens tech support can fix whatever issue its having on the Nintendo Switch2. This is incredibly infuriating when playing in general, but exponentially when crashing during Solo Seasons game mode. Ive had multiple games crash in the 4th quarter when I was winning or even mid game. Causing me to have to completely start over. Ive seen reddit chats mentioning this but nothing on EA forums.What's Going on with madden 26 no pass interference calls
This is getting aggravating every time a player switch stick or manually adjust to a offensive pass. There will be no past interference, literally your receivers, being bumped and toast around But no calls pass the 10 yard line get it right please EA Thanks!!Ea servers going down keeps giving me losses
Get your horrid servers fixed. For the third time in a week and a half i am booted from my games and given a loss bc "the EA Servers are down", and it boots me from my game. How can I be credited with a loss when im winning by a huge margin, and all of a sudden, *poof* EA Servers magically go down and I get a loss. There's literally nothing I can do about this and its straight bs! We spend out rewards and in game currency to join tournaments for specific prizes, and I cannot even get said prizes bc the servers keep going down and giving me undeserved losses. This is making me irate and not even want to waste my **bleep** time playing the game if this keeps happening.
