Can't see, download, or save from gallery
It's been about 2 months now that I have not been able to see anything in the gallery (I cannot download or save things to my library either). I have tried EVERYTHING to get the gallery available to me: from the basics of making sure everything is public, updated, removing mods, and deleting cache folders, to completely deleting/uninstalling everything (including the EA app) and redownloading it all again. I can see the regular sims gallery builds, but not public/published builds. It is not the issue where the red X appears either, I can see everything put the preview of the build and when I attempt to place on world or save to my gallery, it says it failed to connect.Server Error whenever I'm upload to my personal gallery
This is the text in the error message: Server error. We could not process this gallery request. Please try again later. I tried uploading the image from my phone, but I can't get my laptop to do so. Anyone else having this problem, for me it started after the new burglar update. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title11KViews78likes327CommentsPlacing lots from the gallery freezes game/endless loading
Computer: PC, Windows 10 I am having issues with the game after the February 25th update where trying to use the gallery effectively doesn't work. I am connected to the internet and initially it'll work fine but when trying to use it repeatedly, such as trying out multiple uploaded lots, the gallery will become stuck on the loading screen and won't load anymore lots, and will tell me that it is having issues. I have tried updating my drivers, removing the tray file, removing all mods, and repairing the game but it still keeps happening. These attempts initially worked for a bit but eventually the gallery would freeze again. Any help would be appreciated. I also recently upgraded my computer so it is possible that it's related to that but as far as I can tell my GPU, CPU and ram is all working as intended. Again, I made sure drivers were updated as I heard that that could cause some issues. The same lots might work in a new save. Very recently, I have been completely unable to get into the Gallery. When I try and enter, I get the "Connect Or Stay Offline?" queue, and when I hit connect, it just stays on the connect part, and doesn't actually connect. I was able to download something off the Gallery a few days ago (on July 2). I have done almost everything I can think of to fix this - restart the game, restart my laptop, shut my laptop off for a while, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but to no avail. Every tutorial I've found to help with this hasn't helped. What do I do?Gallery not working "No results"
Hello, My problem is that I can no longer use the gallery for some unknown reason. SETUP Game: Sims 4 System: PC - Windows 10 (64-bit) Platform: EA Mods/CC: No Problem frequency: 100% (on each attempt) When the problem occurs: When I open the gallery (no matter where, from the home screen, in game in CAS or in construct mode). Description of the problem : I restarted The Sims after a long period of not playing and found that I can no longer use the gallery at all. When I open it, the home page loads for a very long time and displays "No results" (even though I haven't searched for anything yet, the home page is supposed to show me featured content). When I try a search, no matter the filter "Maxis", "All", "Custom content",... nothing is displayed. Same for my personal page, I no longer see what I shared, nor even my gallery description and my highlighted elements. Resolution attempts already tried: Before posting my problem, I tried A LOT of solutions (the goal is not to bother here so that the answer is "Have you tried turning off and on your computer"). Restart the computer Restart the Sims 4 Delete all Documents/ElectronicArts/Sims4 folder Repair the game from the EA application Launch the game as administrator Turn off my Windows firewall Update my drivers Create an exception for Sims 4 on Windows Defender Refresh my DNS (although I don't even know exactly what that is) I would still like to point out that the internet connection does not seem to be completely cut in my game because I continue to receive Sims Delivery and the game's Home Page updates and seems to work well. I don't see any problem other than the gallery. I have visit all the forums, videos and help sites, I don't see what else I can do to solve my problem... I'm attaching the image of the problem, even if there isn't much to see other than "No results" written in French. Honestly I don't even have much hope that anyone here can help me, but I'll give it a try. Sorry if my English isn't perfect, it's not my native language! So the gallery keeps loading and i tried this - turning of mods - deleting like 1000 tray items - deleting local thumb cache - repairing the game - turning of firewall - starting the router again - my wifi is fine btw - checked the gallery status and its online - went offline to online - dragged the mod folder out -dragged the sims 4 folder out and started the game nothing worked I dont know what else i can doGallery Connection Troubleshooting/ Status: Online
This thread is to inform you of the current status of the gallery and also to give you some tips you can try if you can't access the gallery although it's supposed to be online. If you continue to have issues, please create a new thread. Index Current Status Where to check for Info on scheduled maintenance Troubleshooting Current Status The InGame Gallery is currently: ONLINE The Website Gallery is currently: ONLINE ↑ Where to Check for Info for scheduled Maintenance With changes made, there are no more scheduled maintanances. ↑ Troubleshooting If you have issues despite the gallery being online, please try the following steps before posting. If there's a current known issue, there's nothing you need to do unless someone requests information (Please see Current Status). No amount of troubleshooting will make the game go online cause it's an issue on EA's side. I don't have the gallery at all. All I see is the library There are three reasons why you don't have access to the Gallery at all (no icon for it). In two cases there's nothing you can do about it. The Gallery doesn't work with those two versions. For the thread, check your options and adjust your settings. You're using the Legacy Edition of the game You have a child account You have online social features access disabled in your game options I can't connect to the Gallery There are several causes for this Firewall or Antivirus are blocking the connection. Make sure to allow access Origin/EA app and The Sims 4 through your security software (please consult the manual of your software on how to do that). There's an issue with your connection. If you can, try at a friends house or a public internet or through a phone hotspot if it also doesn't work through those (for troubleshooting) Try if it works with a mobile hotspot (for troubleshooting) There's a general issue with the gallery. Please see above for more info If you're running the game in any kind of compatibility mode, try removing that (for example Windows 8.1 when you have Windows 10) Delete your Sims Cache FIles Delete your Cache Files Try moving the Tray folder to the desktop. If you have a lot of items in there, it might cause issues. Try running CCleaner (please google for link, Windows only) Mac - Try the suggestions in the Origin/Mac connections issue post here Remove all your mods and test without Switch of VPN in your Antivirus Further Suggestions by SimQARobo See post below My Uploads aren't showing in the Gallery Sometimes it takes a moment for them to show up so please be patient. If you used Custom Content on your Sim/House, make sure to tick the include custom content on the left-hand side. All Gallery items show as Red X instead of a picture This issue is related to a Antivirus program blocking access to the user folder. Please use this thread if you need help on solving this: Anti-Virus blocking User Folder (Screenshots/Gallery/Mods..) All failed I have no further suggestions at this point. Maybe contact support to see if they have other suggestions. When posting it's good to provide your Internet provider and country. Maybe there's a pattern ↑Sims Disappearing when placing household
Yesterday, I merged 2 sims from the gallery into a new CAS household as well as created one brand new character. After making substantial edits to all three, I selected the checkmark to note I was finished and then proceeded to add them to a household (with one Sim currently present). I merged the households, and when the lot loaded, all four characters were present, but the only ones that showed as part of the household were the original sim on the lot, and the newly created Sim. Neither Sim that had been merged from the gallery showed up as selectable, and when they walked off the lot, they were never to be seen again. I think they were permanently deleted from the game. They are not found in manage households, and they did not show up in the relationship panel after having conversations with the active Sim. Please advise if there is a way to find these Sims again, they took some time to perfect and I'm sad that I've lost them.
