April 3, 2025 Patch Notes: The Sims Fixed Issues: General stability and performance improvements Various game tabs don’t use the full available window width Name selection for townies is not as random as it should be Animal Control can’t be called if the picture-in-picture window is open Travel loading screens are inconsistently scaled Using Shift + Windows + Arrow keys to move the game window between monitors doesn’t always resize as expected The Sim portrait camera was not always correctly positioned (already created portraits will not be regenerated) Functionality Improvements: The Sims will warn users whose user names contain characters that could cause crashes Edge-scrolling hit zone now includes the full letterboxing area The Sims General Notes: The Sims requires a Vulkan compatible GPU. Please check GPU compatibility with the manufacturer, and keep your drivers up to date. On some NVIDIA GPUs pixels could appear misplaced or misaligned when there is a contrast between them. NVIDIA has a driver in late February that addresses this. Please make sure your drivers are up to date. The Sims 2 Fixed Issues: General stability and performance improvements CAS Sims are clipped on ultra-wide screens Alien Baby Sim is missing from Alien Abduction A member of the Curious family would sometimes not appear in the Alien Abduction It is possible to queue an infinite number of actions during camera snapshot which results in a crash It is possible for the keyboard to lose input focus and prevent the player from entering text In-game UI is too small on higher resolutions (see below) Edge-scrolling does not work The UCP panel disappears after the college send-off animation Improved Functionality: The Sims 2 now uses a borderless window to provide the fullscreen experience Improved redraw time when moving the game window from one monitor to another using Shift + Windows + Arrow keys The Sims 2 will now, by default, use a larger scale factor to produce in-game UI on screens larger than 1080. If a larger or smaller UI is preferred then the cheat code “uintProp uiScaleFactor” can be used to specify a preferred value. Valid options are 1, 2 or 3. The game uses “2” by default. This value can be set to be persistent in the “Graphics Rules.sgr” file located in “The Sims 2 Legacy Collection\EP9\TSData\Res\Config" (where this folder is located will vary depending on which storefront you purchased the game from). The Sims 2 General Notes: Gaming performance on Intel Arc systems can be sub-optimal for games that rely on DirectX 9. Intel is continually working to improve performance on these systems, but at the time of this writing we have observed performance penalties that make us recommend caution in playing The Sims 2 on them. Há mais de um mês fiz a compra do relançamento THE SIMS 1 E THE SIMS 2. O TS1 nunca consegui jogar, sempre aparece o mesmo erro. Já tentei resolver sozinha, mas sinceramente acho que não entendi o que deveria fazer. O TS2 até consegui jogar um pouco. Eu estava de férias na ilha e o jogo travou, eu saí, nunca mais consegui voltar. Carregava infinitamente e depois de algum tempo apareceu na própria tela de carregamento uma janela PIP (picture-in-picture) da minha boneca com as necessidades baixas (plumbob vermelho) como se eu estivesse na tela de jogo e foi só isso, travou. Nunca a resgatei e não sei o que aconteceu porque eu desinstalei tudo e excluí todas as pastas. Esse relançamento foi uma mistura de emoção, nostalgia e muita frustração. Há muitos e muitos erros. Por enquanto eu quero ajuda para resolver o erro do Vulkan, porque aparentemente é por causa dele que não consegui até hoje jogar o The Sims 1. Mach 14, 2025 Patch Notes: The Sims Fixed Issues: General stability and performance improvements Alt+Enter does not always scale the way players expect The Sims can crash if a Sim interacts with the shower while the Tragic Clown is on the lot If The Sims gets minimized while loading packs for the first time the player can be prevented from interacting with the game until it is restarted Lots whose families are on vacation do not have a Vacation icon Tiles around pools are rendered with original fidelity The Sims would minimize if it was not the foreground application Aggressively cycling through window zoom levels and full screen with Alt+Enter can lead to unresponsiveness or a crash The UI scaling at different levels can be too extreme In windowed mode the bottom of the game window will sometimes default to being behind the Windows taskbar Functionality Improvements: The Sims now has in-game options to control window size, game resolution and aspect ratio (derived from resolution) used at launch The Sims is now using an improved pixel scaling strategy that provides better looking sprites, UI, etc In windowed mode the game window be resized and the game palette (where The Sims is displayed) is scaled to match the window dimensions. The Sims will preserve the original launch aspect ratio The Sims General Notes: The Sims requires a Vulkan compatible GPU. Please check on your GPU manufacturer’s website to see if your GPU is compatible with Vulkan and ensure you are updated to the latest driver version. The Sims 2 Fixed Issues: General stability and performance improvements There are significant frames per second (FPS) drops in various scenarios including multiple Sims in Ultra Speed, various complex lots, camera panning, etc. If Windows shortcuts (Win+Shift+ArrowKey, etc) was used to move the game window from one monitor to another the player could end up with a plain blue window in the new location The Sims 2 might crash if a custom beach lot is placed in Belladonna Cove The Sims 2 minimizes if it is not the foreground application Pets can not be scolded or encouraged (e.g. to train a dog not to urinate indoors, or to discourage cats from sitting on counters) A Sim returning from work as an Eco Guru will sometimes become invisible On screens with resolution higher than 1080p the pie wheel options sometimes go off screen Sometimes when a family tries to travel to a community lot only the family dog will travel On 2k and 4k monitors selecting the “More” option will sometimes result in the mouse pointer jumping off the screen After running for long periods of time (generally 2 hours or more) the player is sometimes prevented from interacting with the game Multiple uses of Alt+Enter could cause the game screen to eventually move off the bottom of the screen Multiple uses of Alt+Enter could sometimes cause the game to scale the window incorrectly The CAS UI does not scale/arrange well on displays with extreme aspect ratios (e.g. ultra-wide displays) If the computer has two displays of varied resolution capabilities (e.g. 4k + 1080p) the game window could jump from one screen to the other when making Resolution selections Improved Functionality: The Sims 2 now uses a borderless window to provide the fullscreen experience The Sims 2 General notes: There are recurring problems being reported on Intel Arc systems. Please see previous patch notes for more information Due to the way the underlying graphics layer that The Sims 2 depends on works, when switching between Full Screen and Windowed mode with Alt+Enter there can sometimes be a substantial delay (many seconds) while the scene is recalculated and rendered There may be issues not listed here that are in the process of being addressed as certain issues require an extended investigation on our end. Even though these fixes may be in active review, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in an upcoming patch. February 27, 2025 Patch Notes: The Sims Fixed Issues: General stability and performance improvements Some players had difficulty setting/changing the game language Some players had problems with with their game save directories not being recreated and, in some cases, causing a crash on the Steam platform In some situations the game would not recreate missing UserData folders. The game is now more robust in replacing missing UserData folder in the game save directory The game could sometimes take a very long time to launch A crash would occur when queuing certain events at the Goth house The game would crash on some computers that were waking from sleep Text/caption added to a snapshot would not be saved Family friend counter would sometimes be grey The Sims General Notes: Please note that The Sims (TS1) requires a Vulkan compatible GPU. Please check on your GPU manufacturer’s website to see if your GPU is compatible with Vulkan and ensure you are updated to the latest driver version. The Sims 2 Fixed Issues: General stability improvements Some players had difficulty setting/changing the game language Several game issues occurred when a University-lot pre-made Sim graduates and relocates to the home neighborhood The game could sometimes take a very long time to launch Restored music tracks from Acceptance and Annie “Wants” go missing after a teen goes to University and game focus is kept on them When a child ages to a teen, quitting without saving would not fully revert the aging process (the teen attributes would now be on a child body) Sims can sometimes become stuck at the hotel when vacationing (“Too many iterations” error on the loading screen) The Sims 2 General notes: There are recurring problems being reported on Intel Arc systems. Intel has recently ended direct support for DirectX 9 and is providing support via a transparent mapping layer. It is possible that this solution can have flaws that may impact any programs that rely on DirectX 9. There may be issues not listed here that are in the process of being addressed as certain issues require an extended investigation on our end. Even though these fixes may be in active review, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in an upcoming patch. Ограничения в русской версии Симс Мобайл.
Здравствуйте, снова возвращаюсь к той же теме.В русской версии Симс Мобайл невозможно приобрести билеты на фестиваль, купить симкэш и т.п. Пробовала менять язык - я могла бы играть по-польски и по-английски,но ничего не меняется,вероятно, ограничение из-за эмбарго заложено в аккаунте.Был совет сменить аккаунт,но это не решение,потому что вместе с аккаунтом в трубу вылетит весь прогресс в игре. Переустановить игру - тоже бесполезно,потому что аккаунт останется прежним. Ума не приложу,что делать,потому что мне как-то обидно - я украинка, жертва агрессии,и меня же наказывают этими ограничениями. А украинской версии игры нет. Интересно,какими соображениями руководствовались господа из ЕА, вводя эти ограничения?По-русски говорят тысячи людей во всем мире,причем очень многи никак не причастны к агрессии России и не поддерживают этот режим. Это ведь дискриминация по языку, мелкая,но дискриминация. Как мне сменить язык,не переустанавливая игру и не заводя нового аккаунта?я не хочу терять прогресс в игре.Я ввела двух новых игровых персонажей, копя симкэш( 500 симбаксов за каждого ) буквально по крохам и мне просто жалко своих сил и времени.
The Sims 1, The Sims 2 Mac OS
Здравствуйте. Выйдет ли версия The Sims 1 и The Sims 2 на Mac OS? На Windows выпустили, а о Mac как обычно забыли. Есть ли вообще какая-то вероятность, что ее когда-нибудь выпустят? Я приобрела обе игры в Ea App и хотела играть через Crossover, но, к сожалению, игра не работает. Будут ли изданы игры на Mac OS или можно забыть?
