Help! This is a Ridiculous set up
So I have an OLD EA Account (from 2008) with the same email as my Xbox Account and the 2 were linked a long while ago. i now use Xbox GPU and it linked up to my old EA account but my EA account has changed (was changed in 2013) when trying to link it, it auto linked to my new microsoft email which is now an automatic xbox account. Finally got everything unlinked to link the right EA account to the right XBOX account to find that this isn't possible, only 1 XBOX link in an EA accounts lifetime? So now what i need to create a NEW one? then what about the games i already have linked to this account? this seems so stupid that you can unlink them but cannot link them to another account? I can't even delete the EA account that hasn't been used in almost 20 years... I'm going mad here. 😭
EA app Opens Unnecessary Processes During Battlefield Beta
I am serious. The EA app is opening instances of windows for linux when I attempt the open beta for Battlefield. I am not on Linux and it doesnt need to be running extra processes. It also is bull crap that I got the ea pass through steam and I have to have both steam and EA app open now to play any EA game. If I didnt have an awesome PC it would have died from all the bull crap your application is purposely doing to our computers. Never ever have I had a program of any kind just start opening things outside its parameters which means your app is set up to do this crap. Personally keep telling my brother he is an idiot for buying anything from your craptastic company CM title editEA app = neglected app.
I don't normally post on forum but after visiting the website and seeing all the complaints, I have to say something. First of all, trying to log into the app is a nightmare, it took almost an hour to do it and multiple attempts to reset the password before I could log in. Next is the time when I tried to reinstall a game. Last year, I installed the same game into an external drive, after trying to install again today (but this time to my local drive), it's stuck. I changed all my settings to install it to the local drive, did a cold boot multiple times, but for some reason the installation says to check the installation path, no way to change it whatsoever, I had to find my old external drive to install it again. WHO THE F is programming this app? This is basic stuff we are talking about.
Sims 4 not redownloading in EA app
Hi everyone! I have been dealing with this for over a month now :( Sims 4 first wouldn't load in the EA app so I cleared cache and uninstalled the app, but now it won't install. It says its 'installing' but nothing is happening and I don't know what to do. This screen never changes. I have attached a screenshot of what the download manager in my app has looked like for the past month whenever i try to redownload the sims 4 :( I hope someone can help!! I would be very grateful! (note - I have deleted and reinstalled EA, tried steam, origin and epic games launcher, none of which have worked. I managed to download the game on steam, but it would only work if the game was downloaded on EA too...)
Disable EA Overlay through Config File or Windows Registry
I have added an EA Game to Steam as a Non-Steam-Game to play it with the Steam Overlay but I noticed that some games freeze on start when both the EA and Steam Overlay are active. Example for one game: STAR WARS Galaxy of Heroes. I can manually disable the EA Overlay through the app but this option is a global setting and not an individual game setting like it was in Origin. Is it possible that I can disable the EA Overlay through a certain config file or a certain entry in the Windows Registry(if available)? In that case I would run a batch script that disables the EA Overlay through that file or registry entry when I run an EA Game from Steam as a Non-Steam Game to avoid issues with the EA Overlay and reactivate it once the Non-Steam-Game is closed. If someone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated.
