[CONFIRMED BUG] Severe FPS Drops & CPU Bottleneck Since Season 27
Hello, I am creating this report to detail a severe performance regression introduced with the Season 27 update. My game has gone from running perfectly to being nearly unplayable due to massive FPS drops. I attached a video explain the problem. The Problem: Before Season 27: Stable 144 FPS in all scenarios. After Season 27: Before jump from plane: 30-40 FPS In-Game Fights: 80-90 FPS with stutters Key Finding: Monitoring shows a severe CPU bottleneck. My CPU usage is consistently at 80-100% while my GPU usage is significantly lower (around 30-50%). This imbalance is the direct cause of the FPS drops and did not exist before the update. My System Specifications: Operating System: Windows 10 Pro CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F GPU: [Your Exact GPU Model, e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti] RAM: 16 GB Storage: SSD GPU Driver Version: 552.44 Exhaustive Troubleshooting Performed: I have performed every conceivable troubleshooting step to rule out my own hardware and software. This includes: Complete Game Reinstalls: Tried on both Steam and the EA App with no difference. Clean GPU Driver Installation: Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to perform a clean install of the latest NVIDIA drivers. BIOS Update: Updated my motherboard BIOS to the latest version. In-Game Settings: Tested every possible setting combination from all Low to my original competitive settings. I am experiencing significant FPS drops in Apex Legends. Even after reinstalling drivers and performing a clean installation of Windows, the issue persists. I have attached my system information in the provided file and screenshots that confirm the low FPS. Despite having a AMD Radeon RX 6600 and an Intel i3-12100F processor, FPS drops significantly during gameplay, especially on the map, with FPS dropping to as low as 40 FPS, whereas it performs fine in the training area (around 144 FPS). Basically i recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and the game volume has become unplayable. The sound volume has been lowered drastically, and I can't play the game. The only change I made was upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11... I spent over an hour talking to support people and after following all the steps they suggested, nothing solved the problem... I am unsure what to do but after contacting EA help they sent me here. Black Friday sales in the store just came around and I used it as a cheaper way to get my son the heirloom has been wanting. I spent a lot of money and he finally got the red shard things. He told me that there was a 2x heirloom bundle in the store and we both talked and agreed on how he may be disappointed because he might not get what he has been wanting. He agreed but still wanted to look at the options that were included in the bundle and when backing out after looking the pack animation started and he was devastated because he genuinely did not hit purchase. He went to look and his credits were taken and spent on something I watched him NOT purchase and may have glitched or bugged. I am a bit heartbroken as well because I don't have another 400-500 dollars to give him again based off something that was out of his control. Surely there has to be a fix and I respectfully request to know how. It's not like it's something he bought and is now changing his mind because, id explain to him that's not how it works. So after the recent apex update I've been getting a error.(Please refer to the attached screenshot) My efforts to resolve it : 1.Tried formatting the windows a clean windows installation formatting my SSD and all. 2.Tried to run the game from a different SSD also. 3.Tried to switch ram slots(In case if ram was the issue) 4.Referred to EA forums also same trick everyone saying click on three dots and repair the game. Every time me and my regular trio try to play Apex, the game will not allow us to play in the same party. It always only sends one of us, almost always the party leader. We are all PS5 only players and have the most up-to-date version of the game. We all only use the PS5 version of Apex as well. This problem suddenly began at the beginning of Season 27: “Amped.” It seems to have began randomly. We have all tried restarting the game, restarting our consoles, restarting our internet/wifi, and even deleting then redownloading Apex completely. There are no updates for us to download at all. There are also no other posts on this forum or on even Reddit or X that we have seen with the same issue. This has made playing the game impossible as a group, which is our favorite way of playing. Idk how relevant is this but my account is being accessed by a chinese hacker based in hong kong who is constantly using my account and god knows whats going on with my account because I havent been playing for the past 3 months. And this situation is getting worse day by day that I changed every password hard resetted my laptop whihc I thought was compromised and the hacker still can access my account somehow. I am in desperate need of help about this whole situation. I have had this account for a long time and the only account I play apex on with my friends and like to grind ranked. Besides the usual no sound issues I encountered the most problems with Revenant footsteps having 0 sound no matter what direction he is comming from. Usually the "no sound" happens when an enemy is behind you, but with Revenant it happens 9 out of 10 times no matter the direction he is comming from. And I'm not talking about hes crouch walking where he has no sound, I'm talking about full sending and running. My setup is IEM headphones plugged into the motherboard. I haven't been able to log into my game in tow months. At fist, the live support agent told me is was a mistaken ban and asked me to wait for ten days. Ten days later, When i contacted support agent, They told me they were repairing the system as quickly as possible and asked me to wait longer. At the beginning, There was no ban record at all, But after a months and a half, a ban record suddeny appeared. Then ban reason says that I violated their gameplay enhancement rules, But I have nvere used any cheats or third party software. This year, I have already been banned twice, and both time it happened right after I purchased the battle pass. I submitted appeals, and all of them were denied. plz unblock this quickly.
