game froze in ranked matchmaking and i got banned for it
the game froze when i was matchmaking, only from my end, client-side crash, i waited in the matchmaking screen or whatever we call it for like 10min or more, the game totally froze and hang on me, i couldn't do anything except kill the game and re-launch it, then apex does this to me, can't they just check their logs or something for what happened instead of banning me for 10min? can't they link this to the game logs? just banning mem for fun? as i was supposed to kill the game, this is stupid from your side apex
Annoying input lag?
I've been having constant input lag and congestion symbols when I'm playing today, since the update dropped. It's almost unplayable at this point, when it was working fine the rest of the week. I have a brand new laptop with these specs: processor: Intel Ultra 9 275HX gpu: Nvidia 5070ti (12GB) RAM: 32GB ssd: 1tb I have the settings adjusted to getting high frames - so nothing is set on ultra (usually mid to disable things that cause GPU load), but it keeps randomly stuttering. My usual FPS are 220-230. Like I said, it was fine yesterday, but now the input lag and congestion is... constant, like every couple of minutes I'll be stuttering. Also my Internet is great. It's not an Internet problem.Requesting for Indian Servers
I would like to let you know it's a very bad situation for players from India who are trying to compete and reach higher ranks for I mean players who solo-Q in the rank. You put them against players who are either 3 stacking or 2 stacking already playing at 40-60 ping whereas we players from India play on minimum ping of 110-130. How can a person compete with that even if you are strategizing or whatever ultimately this game comes to gunfight you simply can't react to that. To be honest there are ample number of players from India now who are playing Apex Legends dedicatedly. If we can play in their server, why can't they play on our server, why such a disparity exists between us. There is a me -south server which remain unused, and no one plays on it so why can't it replaced as Indian servers is there any problem to it. It's not like we are taking away servers from the middle eastern players. There are players from Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri-Lanka as well who play apex legends now. We also want to enjoy the game where we can confidently go on for a gunfight without worrying about the ping or the lag. People get stuck in the platinum rank just because the servers aren't available and there is connection issue, and we can't do anything about it, but you can. So, it's a big request to all of EA and Respawn to try to give us a server for 1 season or 2 just to check the current scenario.
Apex Legends Server Routing & Regional Request (Player Feedback)
Dear Apex Legends Development Team, As a dedicated player from the Middle East, I’d like to raise an important issue that affects our gameplay experience deeply — server routing and matchmaking availability. Currently, our connections are often routed to Frankfurt, despite being geographically distant. This not only introduces unnecessary latency but also undermines the potential of more responsive, lower-latency experiences for players in the Gulf and surrounding regions. A closer routing path, ideally towards servers like Abu Dhabi or Bahrain, could dramatically enhance our performance and reduce input lag, especially in a high-precision game like Apex Legends. Another critical issue is matchmaking availability on the regional servers that do exist. Servers like Bahrain and Abu Dhabi show up occasionally in server lists but remain inactive or underused due to a mismatch in how players are pooled. These servers should not remain isolated — they could be integrated with African regions (such as South Africa or Egypt) or Middle Eastern regions in a way that creates a merged or hybrid matchmaking pool. Doing this would enable players in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and other surrounding nations to reliably find matches on local servers without needing to connect to Europe. A practical example is this: Bahrain is significantly closer to Saudi Arabia and the UAE than Frankfurt, yet we are rarely matched on it because matchmaking groups appear fragmented. If Respawn enabled a “Mixed-Match Pool” between the Bahrain/Abu Dhabi servers and African servers, while adjusting skill-based matchmaking ranges slightly, players could consistently find matches without sacrificing ping. This would make underused servers viable and greatly improve the community experience. Moreover, Apex Legends is one of the few major FPS games with such strong support worldwide, and it’s because of this that I believe you can lead the way in fixing this infrastructure issue for underserved regions. Many of us play on high ping not by choice but by technical limitation, and a simple routing change or matchmaking update could increase engagement, satisfaction, and even retention for your active base in this part of the world. Thank you for your continued development efforts. I truly hope the network and server engineering team can take a look at this. We as a community are ready to test and give feedback if needed. Apex is a game we love, and with just a bit of extra care toward routing and server logic, you can make the Middle East feel like it’s truly part of the Apex experience — not an afterthought. Apex freezes the entire PC after 05.03.2025 update
Hello! Ever since the last update, which was released yesterday, on June 3rd, Apex Legends has started freezing my whole PC after like 5-10 minutes of playing. I’ve already tried to uninstall, reinstall and repair the game but no luck — it keeps freezing my PC. It’s literally impossible to play Apex Legends right now without hard resetting everything… Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I just want to play Apex Legends, cmon :(Major packet Loss
I’ve been experiencing major packet loss in Apex Legends recently to the point where the game is completely unplayable, and it only happens in ranked matches. The game stutters heavily and becomes a slideshow, while other online games on the same connection work perfectly fine. I’ve had this exact setup for years — Xfinity/Comcast with a Google Nest WiFi router — and never had issues like this until recently. I’ve tried everything: restarting the modem, changing DNS settings, enabling UPnP, switching devices, and even testing my connection, which shows no problems at all. This only seems to happen with Apex, specifically in ranked. From what I’ve read online, this started happening after Respawn reintroduced the anti-DDoS server routing, and it looks like certain ISPs like Xfinity don’t play well with the new setup. Some people say the only fixes are either switching ISPs, waiting for Respawn to address it, or using a VPN, which I haven’t tried yet. Just wanted to share this in case others are running into the same issue and to hopefully get it on EA/Respawn’s radar.
DDoS and packet loss
Since EA introduced DDoS protection in ranked matches Apex Legends has become unplayable for me. I'm experiencing consistent packet loss, high ping, and rubberbanding, which did not occur prior to this update. I recently switched to Superloop (NBN FTTP) to fix the other issues I was having with the code LEAF, it was my 4th ISP chance and countless troubleshooting and it finally resolved when I used suoerloop. The new problems began only after the DDoS protection update. As part of troubleshooting, Superloop has Provided a Static Public IP Updated my DNS settings I don't know what else to do. I can only use the US servers to play with my partner in London. I'm in Aus.
