[Investigation] Punishing One match ups

I agree with that ... every light side fleet has been rendered nearly useless now

P1 was meant to help Executor against CS like The Profundity, Finalizer and a few more mid card/upper mid card Capital Ships, mainly on defence . It was never meant to lift Executor to beat the the massive top meta ship that needs you to farm not only Legendary toons, but Conquest toons and ships too. 

Yeah, either way, you and everyone else is boned. You can buy packs and get to 5-7* quickly and see your new ship nerfed. Or you can hold off from spend any Money/Crystals and then weeks late CG decides NOT to nerf it , meaning that now you need to go through the soul numbing chore that is Ship farming on hard nodes with out the boost you might have got if you whaled a little to get a boost. Which is what I did before this post came out .

And THAT is the problem. If the whales start seeing that a 3* free to get ship, can, with some skill , blow up their massive Legendary and multiple Conquest toon/ship money sink of a Capital Ship, CG are worried they might stop throwing their money at them. And no , I'm not have a go at whales, it's their money, they worked hard for it ( or at least some one did) they should be able to spend it how they like, if it don't bankrupt them ofc.

I’m guessing that you’re running it at lower tiers?  At tiers 6 & 7, there are only 2 out of 5 teams I can run on auto….the remaining require manual control and are RNG dependent.  Sometimes they can be done in 20 minutes….but most times, like the OP said, an hour-ish

I think where CG is tiptoeing into legal territory is that the event is still going on AND there's a component to the event that incentives spending today so you have to spend less tomorrow (IE more "free" shards are lost each day you don't spend and miss a higher tier of the event). If we both spend and I spend 4 days from now waiting on an update I will spend more than you and that's a problem. Is it a legal problem? 

In order to mitigate their legal risk one of the very first steps a company takes during a recall (which is exactly what this is - a product not performing to the expected standards) is to remove the product from the marketplace so more people are not negatively impacted. If CG allows this event to continue and then knowingly nerfs the ship I would imagine there is room to prove harm was done if you spent.

I had started an account recently and got Profundity unlocked just a month back. The fact that this ship totally negates the Profundity is absurd. Profundity has much higher requirements than Executor. Fleet arena is important for crystals which are important in early game. This is exactly what makes new players want to quit the game. I don't think this type of changes in the meta is healthy for this game. CG - you have done a terrible job with this ship and I hope you nerf it - at least against Profundity and Leviathan. This also shows that CG does not care about in game experience and only about their wallet. This game is increasingly becoming difficult for new players to catch up with and this is just a step in the wrong direction. 

Most of the people who have Lev now worked hard to get a ship to make them competitive in Fleet Arena. Now people with a no cost no effort 3 star PO are beating Lev. Lev was always supposed to be the meta until a new cap ship replaced it, that was not meant to be the effect of this new ship and this should be seen as a dreadful error until someone can prove some money making conspiracy. If you spent money cause you found out they'd made a mistake with that and you thought you could get a cheap counter then maybe that should be on you. There is consumer law in my country that if something is not fit for the purpose it is intended then you are entitled to a refund but in this case they have stated "Leviathan will remain a difficult matchup, but Executor should be able to hold more consistently against everyone else" so I don't see that should apply if they change it to correct PO v Lev matches in favour of Lev.

The Punishing One is preaty good for the fleet health, executor can beat leviathan/profundity on offence and leviathan/profundity can beat executor easly on offence. now we may see some executors/profundity on top ranks, not just boring leviathan mirror matchs.
BTW leviathan can just change the starting line up to dagger to counter executor (more variety)

Meathead, it may not be on you, but you are their face... just pass the notice that they are a disgrace... hope someone could sue that team for the scam they do... and here I thought pyramids were illegal... they got the best way to steal from people... well done CG
