Hey everyone! The v1.06 patch will begin rolling out across all platforms today, March 10th, at 12pm UTC. Please ensure you are connected to the internet in order to download the patch. The full Patch Notes will be live here at the same time: https://www.ea.com/games/grid/grid-legends/news/patch-notes-106 Please use this thread to discuss anything to do with this patch, or any new issues you have seen arise. Some known issues we're working on for future patches The excessive engine braking bug discussed here was unable to be fixed in this latest patch but will be addressed in the next scheduled patch. The ABXY buttons not working for the Logitech G920 (Xbox) is still being investigated. Unplugging the shifter, for the time being, should fix this problem Furthermore, issues affecting license check failed messages, inability to access online servers, and the game getting stuck on the splash screen will be addressed in a separate micro-patch for Origin/EA App users on March 11th. See you on the GRID!CM_TGK3 years agoCodemasters Team5.2KViews17likes42CommentsSupported Controllers for GRID Legends

I have all the latest updates on my console, I only have 4 total games downloaded on my console, this was really the main reason I got EA play, and everytime I open the game I get to the press x screen at the very beginning, I press x and it crashes. I have deleted and redownloaded three times. Any ideas on how I can make this game work?Solved7KViews12likes104CommentsCollected list of interface bugs and/or bad design decisions
Product: GRID Legends Platform:Steam-PC Summarize your bug n/a Please specify your platform model. Steam Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes In what game mode did the bug occur? Offline Career How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? n/a What happens when the bug occurs? n/a What do you expect to see? n/a I'll try to compile the list of things not working or working really bad in Grid Legends, starting with the basic game menu interface. Project Cars 3 was often criticised for 'ugly menus' (which to me, is very dumb thing to criticize in a race game). Grid Legends might have a prettier menu graphics, but boy, this interface is laughably unusable in its current state. So pay your respects to PC3, as it's a way more polished product than the newest Grid. I'm playing on Steam and I'm only going to list stuff that I personally experience. If you guys have annything to add here, pleaes do. Current feedback on this forum seems to be all over the place, that's why I'm creating this thread. This approach seemed to work really well on Grid 2019 support forums, I hope I'll get some traction here also. I might expand this list, when I run into new bugs. I won't be posting any screenshots or videos with proof, compiling this takes too much of my time anyway. Here we go: 3. GAME IS IGNORING YOUR TEAM NAME [not fixed in 5.0] In Team Profile, you are able to customize your time, which includes naming it. You can name it whatever you want, but during career races, it will always say 'Player Team' on all the standings lists. What is the point of naming my team then? Patch 3.3 shows the correct team name in pre-race gridwalk, but in the standings it's still broken - showing 'player team' No changes with 4.0. 4. HYPERACTIVE CONTROLLER TRIGGERS IN GARAGE MENU [not fixed in 5.0] In Garage, you can scroll through the list of cars using left and right analog triggers. Unfortunately, game takes input from them even on a 1% press, which sometimes causes that menu to scroll by itself, I had to configure deadzones for my triggers to avoid this, I think game interface should only act when the trigger is pressed to 50% or even more, to avoid potential issues. 6. SPONSORS AND THEIR OBJECTIVES MAKE NO SENSE [feedback needed] Game is not tracking and//or displaying the sponsor objective progress correctly. Individual objectives like 'drive kilemeters' or 'finish races in front of teammate' do not track progress correctly. Sometimes they don't progress at all, sometimes they do track, but then revert back after some time. Sponsor also has issues tracking the number of completed challenges. You need 3 to complete the sponsor contract, but you can often complete it with 2/3 or even 1/3 score. Sometimes with 3 completed objectives will not conplete the sponsor, and it will show 2/3 or 1/3. It's all over the place, and after all those patches there are still issues with this. In 4.0, 3 new sponsors were added, one of them started with 1/3, one objective already completed, despite me never playing the DLC content... Changing sponsors will give you 'all others will be reset' warning, though it does not reset the other sponsors, they still remain on 1/3, 2/3 or even 3/3. 7. CAREER EVENTS WON'T ALLOW YOU TO DO STUFF WITH YOUR CAR [not fixed in 5.0] Some events in Career mode give you a loan car which you have to race. I understand that you are not able to upgrade this car or repaint it, but still, clicking on the event from the menu instantly takes you to the race, which is very confusing. This applies to many of the first races in every category, for example - Lotus Cup Event 1 - single make series, you can only drive Lotus - Clio Cup Event 1 - single make series, you can only drive Clio - Super Modified Event 1 - different car in the series, but you are given a Civic - TC-G Event 1 - different car in the series, but you are given an Astra But there are also events that give you the choice of the car from the start (for example: GT Class 3 Event 1), which is very inconsistent. You just never know what happens when you click on Event 1 - will you be taken to car selection screen, or just instantly to the race, with an unknown car? Please, set a standard here. ALWAYS show us the car which we'll be driving in the event, regardless if it's a choice or not. If it's a forced loan car, I would really like just to see what I'll be driving. Otherwise, I can only know while already standing on the grid. 10. FINISHING A CAREER RACE TAKES YOU BACK ONE (MORE LIKE TWO) SCREEN TOO FAR [not fixed in 5.0] So in Career, you select Rookie, then Touring, then do a race there. After finishing, I expect to be taken back to Touring event choice, so I can continue there and complete the category. Unfurtunately, game takes you back to the Career main screen, where I have to pick Rookie again, and then find Touring again, and then find the next event. It happens every single time, after finishing any Career event. This might be a small thing, but when trying to complette a category in one sitting, it can be frustrating, as you takes you out from your game loop. 17. WEEKLY/MONTHLY CHALLENGES DO NOT LET YOU DO STUFF TO YOUR CAR [not fixed in 5.0] This is similar to issue #7, but worse. When clicking on a weekly or monthly challenge, you are taken straight to that challenge, and you won't even know which car you will drive. After the event loads, you can check what car you're driving. And since car upgrades work in this mode, there is a chance that the car you are given is NOT UPGRADED, which will ruin your performance. So you need to quit the event, go to garage, check the car there and upgrade it, and then go back to the event. Please, after clicking the event, show us what car are we driving, and allow us to paint/clean/tune/upgrade, just as in most of the career events. 22. PRE-RACE AND POST-RACE STANDINGS SCREENS BOTH DISPLAY FALSE NEMESIS INFORMATION [not fixed in 5.0] Pre-race screen is always showing a clean field of drivers, noone is my nemesis. Post-race screen is always showing that every single driver except for me and my teammate is both rival and nemesis (purple + red icons. It does not matter how many real nemesis I have at the start and the end of the race. Both screens are just giving wrong info. 23. UNABLE TO SCROLL THE SPONSOR MENU WITH A GAMEPAD [not fixed in 5.0] DLC2 added 3 new sponsors. The sponsor choice menu now has 4 rows, and the icons do not fit on the screen. There's a scrollbar on the right, but you can only use it with a mousewheel or a mouse pointer. Seems like there's no way to scroll the sponsors with a controller. 24. 'PROGRESS' TAB SHOWS INCORRECT INFORMATION ABOUT COMPLETED SINGLE PLAYER CONTENT [not fixed in 5.0] This one is kinda big, I don't know how I didn't notice that earlier. You can access this screen from the HOME tab, and clicking on PROGRESSION or from the TEAM tab -> TEAM PROFILE -> PROGRESS. Why this is called progress in one place, and progression in other - I wish I knew 🙂 So, when opening that progression screen, you can see lots of stats. Some of them are correct (like teammate upgrades bought or story events completed) but lots of them are just wrong: - career events completed - this one is all over the place, let's look at the details: touring - 42/51 tuner - 34/41 gt - 38/46 track day - 39/52 open wheel - 24/28 trucks - 25/35 electric - 23/29 drift - 8/19 demolition derby being the only one shown correctly, at 11/11 - cars purchased - shown wrong, 138/145 Game probably thinks that there is way more events in the game that we really have, that's why it shows this info here and the wrong info on the career tab. 25. CANCELED LAPTIME NO LONGER SHOWN ON THE HUD If you invalidate your lap (mostly because going off track) your current laptime should be shown in red color. After 5.0, it's just shown normally, in white, pretending to be valid. Then you finish the lap and have no idea why it didn't count... very painful for time attack events..7.8KViews11likes66CommentsGRID Legends Car List Hub: Cars & Classes Revealed
Race our largest ever car roster in epic events, across nine motorsport categories Thrilling motorsport variety is at the heart of everything you’ll experience in GRID Legends™ – and the roster of cars you can get behind the wheel of are a showcase of racing diversity. From modern hypercars, to legendary prototype GTs, to trucks and big rigs, and so much in between, GRID Legends’ car list gives players an expansive selection of race-ready machines to make racing memories. Cars are split across nine categories, and each includes smaller classes for those cars to be placed into. The categories are also spread across three difficulty tiers – Amateur, Semi-Pro, and Pro – which you’ll unlock as you progress through Career mode. Most cars will be awarded to players upon completing Career milestones, with some high-value vehicles only purchasable with in-game currency. Owning a vehicle allows you to clock up mileage – and the more miles you record, the more performance upgrades you’ll unlock for that car (unlocked upgrades are then purchasable with in-game earnings). In online and custom race events, you will also be able to ‘loan’ any car you don’t own, allowing you to race with any machine, though you’ll receive fewer end-of-race rewards. On our road to GRID Legends’ launch on February 25, keep an eye on this page as we add more cars to this line-up, with our largest ever selection of hand-picked vehicles coming on launch day and beyond. For now, though, here’s a run-down of all nine categories, followed by the confirmed cars so far… Touring A staple of the GRID franchise and a real fan-favourite, Touring car action is coming to GRID Legends in a big way. More cars and classes than ever before are in the Touring category. In the Amateur tier, expect race-modified hot hatchbacks and boxy machines, ideal for some seriously close-quarters action. Classes in Semi-Pro and Pro will include more speed, variety and aerodynamic focus, with track-dedicated tourers and some iconic cars, like the Audi A4 quattro. Drift Drift events make a triumphant return to the franchise in GRID Legends, with routes and vehicles purpose-built for sideways action. Reach the Semi-Pro tier to start unlocking classes in Drift, featuring cars that dare you to get those tyres smoking and sliding in style. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Drift-Tuned is one of many famous machines tweaked for Drift in GRID Legends. Trucks There’s something uniquely exhilarating about taking a big vehicle, stuffing it full of power and performance parts, and tearing up circuits across the globe. GRID Legends features the series’ most diverse line-up of extra-large cars, all designed purely for racing action. Whether you’re testing the suspension of the Dumont T36 Brawler Sport as you send it over jumps, or dominating the track with our big rig, the Dumont Colossus, the Trucks category features machines that are heavy on fun and power, and well as just being plain heavy! Specials The Specials category brings together a variety of unique classes and rare machines for some unforgettable racing. Progressing through the Specials tiers will see you compete across a huge breadth of motorsport – from fun cars (literally and figuratively) like the Volkswagen Cup Car and oval racers, to vintage road icons and ground-breaking race cars that have shaped motor racing as we know it. Electric Electric cars continue to shake up the automotive world, with some ingenious machines that create epic racing action. For the very first time in GRID, Electric cars have their own category. Get a taste of their unique driving style in the Amateur tier, before unlocking more classes in Semi-Pro and Pro, comprising of incredibly powerful cars that are equally impressive on road and track. Open Wheel Prepare for stunning levels of grip, danger, and an immense sense of speed when you enter GRID Legends’ Open Wheel category. Starting in the Semi-Pro tier, test your levels of control with some extremely lightweight and nimble machines, and experience the thrill of the open cockpit as you blaze a trail through circuits and city streets. Progress to the Pro tier to unlock some of the most powerful cars ever seen in GRID, including a modern-day motor racing icon. Tuner GRID Legends’ Tuner category is a love letter to the concept of turning daily drivers and mass-market cars into world-beaters on the street or the track, all thanks to some engineering skills – and usually some sweet imports. From Japanese legends, to modified American muscle cars, to unbelievably powerful World Time Attack machines like the Audi R8 1:1, the Tuner category is full of tweaked, slammed, and modded cars guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Track Day Despite being road-legal, some cars were just built to be pushed to their limits on a racetrack. GRID Legends’ Track Day category showcases plenty of machines that have the power and overall performance to be dominant on the track, but have the necessary comforts to drive you back home after you’ve taken the winner’s trophy. From popular British lightweights, to the legendary Shelby Cobra 289 FIA, to blistering supercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro Concept, prepare to race in amazing cars through the Amateur, Semi-Pro, and Pro tiers. GT No GRID game would be complete without a huge selection of GT cars, built purely for motorsport success. Starting out in the Amateur tier with the likes of the Ginetta G40 GT5, you’ll progress to experience faster and faster machines from around the globe, spread across multiple generations of racing. Reach the Pro tier to compete with Class 1 GTs, prototypes, and other iconic cars that have shaped the history of motorsport, such as the Porsche 962C and Panoz Esperante GTR-1. Hey everyone, The v2.0 Update is now rolling out across all platforms as of 11am UTC today Thursday, May 19th. Please ensure you are connected to the internet in order to download the update. Some headline features from this update include Fog and Dust being added as new weather conditions in Race Creator on certain locations, as well as a new Special Events page complete with leaderboards. The full Patch Notes are here: https://www.ea.com/games/grid/grid-legends/news/patch-notes-20 Couple of points to make you aware of: The next update to GRID Legends will release in June and will include the first premium DLC pack Flags (that show that items are new/updated) may still be an issue with this patch. We're working on resolving this for a future patch. Over-sensitive directional inputs on things like lap counters in Race Creator are something we're aware of and will be improved and then fixed in later patches. Some of the Xbox shut-down issues may have been resolved with this patch but we're still working with Microsoft to understand why some players are experiencing these. Photo Mode is still on the way! We're making it as good as it can get before releasing it. Please use this thread to discuss anything to do with this update, or any new issues you have seen arise. See you on the GRID! Patch 2.0 introduced more progression, sponsor and interface bugs. Sponsor AVAX has become unselectable (red padlock) even though I have purchased all mechanic upgrades and it was unlocked before patch. That makes one of the achievements impossible to complete. Worse than that, event "Fully Upgraded Heritage Super Tourers" is permanently locked (red padlock) despite me unlocking and purchasing Stage 2 upgrades for both Sierra Cosworth and Skyline GTR. These are very annoying bugs and discourage me from progressing through the career as I can't access all the content anyway.4KViews9likes12CommentsAvax Sponsor now locked after patch!!
Having just switched on the game after installing patch 2.0 on PS4 I have discovered that the AVAX Sponsor is now locked and unavailable for selection even after fully upgrading the mechanic to enable all Sponsors for selection. Luckily in my case the challenges for this sponsor have been completed but any new players will not be able to choose this sponsor! Also notice that all other Sponsors are still not tracked properly!7KViews9likes17CommentsProgress lost after prestige?
Hey guys, Not sure if I’ve ran into a progression issue. I have just hit prestige in career mode on Grid Legends and my career progress on all categories is 0% even though there are events that are completed, see photos attached. Someone on Twitter has advised me this is expected behaviour as prestiging means I’ve got to do rounds again to re-unlock stuff, but what does that mean for unlocking the gauntlet? Surely I don’t need to re-do every single event? Re-playing and completing any objective I’ve already completed increases the percentage count (from 0% to 5,10% etc).3.7KViews8likes12Commentsv1.07 Patch Discussion
