Face off ridiculousness
Can we fix the ridiculous face off garbage? The other teams players get to your defenseman most the time just barely after the puck gets there. This should not happen this fast. Already I have had my defenseman injured on the opening face off of the game at least 5 or 6 times. What a joke. You claim you want to be as close to real as you can make it. Well actually watch an nhl game and tell me how often a forward rushes and gets to a d-man off a face off. Or my other fav in the offensive zone on the face off you go to shoot and the winger is already in front of you instantly to block the shot. 9 out of 10 times seems to block it and it magically bounces on his stick for a breakaway. Really? This needs tweaking for sure. I have to imagine I’m not the only person that feels this way or has had this happen to them in a game?Co-op Cup Chase
HUT includes co-op in some offline modes but not in the previous squad battles or 26 cup chase? A lot of folks including myself would like to play co-op games while still earning rewards instead of having to do it through exhibition/casual. Will EA ever look into this request? That will make the mode a lot more enjoyable. Thanks.

I stopped playing competitive online games with NHL20 because 90% of all opponents and their players were way too fast. I then only played team battles, just like with NHL21 and NHL22. I stopped playing NHL23 and NHL24 altogether, and I only recently started playing NHL25 again because my son was visiting and saw that you could download NHL25 for free. It was the same with NHL25: you played 30 games online, lost 29 because your opponents were too fast, and won 1 because that player was just as fast as your own players, and you just played better. So I thought, well, I'll just pre-order NHL26, and today, after exactly 3 games, I realized that nothing had changed at all. Actually, everyone should be equally fast at the beginning, but the truth is, in those 3 games, all 3 opponents were much faster than me. You can set whatever you want, but nothing helps. So I'll just play the cup competition again in this game and won't invest a single cent more in this game.Disconnects during chase for the cup
Hey so far a pretty positive experience with nhl 26. regarding to the rewards for going undefeated in chase for the cup. I’ve been disconnected twice now and it’s not the end of the world but when it gives me a loss already I feel a lot less urge to play. Hoping you can keep that as a consideration going forward.What is the issue with Cup Chase???
Trying to get used to the format, so playing on a lower difficulty. Just played my first round of the playoffs. Blanked the team 13-0. Just to finish the game and find out it registered as a 0-3 L. Ruined my chances of getting better rewards (which I hear are trash anyway) So, what is the point of playing this mode? EA_Aljo After I got my Fresh Ice Daily Pack today, I sent it to collection, and it didn't end up in my collection (was the usual 5 collectibles, and packed the Cape Breton Arena). I went to add it to a Collectibles set and nothing was there. Playing on Xbox Series X.Missing card
This morning I had completed the set for the new Chel Week Jacob Slavin, and when I had went to check my collection there was no card. So I checked trade pile, then recorded a video of it once I seen it was gone. Next I restarted my console and game, went back on and still nowhere to be seen. So I just looked at the rewards for competitive play and wow makes cup chase even more of a joke. Basically EA has said who cares about the players who want to play HUT but don’t enjoy competitive play. They’d rather play squad battles or now cup chase to enjoy themselves. It’s like saying my neighbors little girls tricycle is going to beat you Lamborghini in a race. Yes that bad of a comparison. You’re constantly each level getting packs with multiple cards in them versus cup chase big whopping 1 fricken card. That’s after playing 22 games too. What a JOKE. Last years game I didn’t touch 1 game of competitive. Why? Cuz I’m 50 and don’t enjoy online play anymore. I enjoy HUT but play squad battles. That being said I’d put my team up against any team out there. I had ovr of 98 last year. That was with skipping months of playing around the stanley cup event. I still ended up a 98. With the way it is this year? Pfffttt that won’t happen. There’s no rewards in it. I can’t be the only player who feels this way or plays HUT this way. I enjoy hockey. Playing competitive is just not enjoyable. Come on EA cater to both types of players. We paid the same to play your game. Fix this!!!!Cup Chase sets are a joke. HUT seems to only be for pack purchasers this year.
EA nerfed the rewards so badly they are trying to force the player base to spend money on the game. This is ridiculous, 20 games of cup chase, 35 collectables, you get no coins and one card from the set. If EA wants NMS players out of the game they sure as heck are doing a good job of that. No incentive to play at all.Horrible HUT changes in nhl 26.
Why Ea? For the love of god why? NHL 25 reward system was perfectly fine. You played the game how ever you wanted and still got rewarded with coins and packs. Whether you played online, offline, casual or sweaty. Personally I’m more an offline player in my older age. I want my team to have players I grew up watching and just relax and have fun. I’m not that sweaty player anymore. So thinking last year was move in right direction this years should be the same or even better right? RIGHT!?!? Nope. Wow cup chase is meh at best. The rewards? Wow. They’re as good as White Castle and case of bush beer the next morning. Big steamy pile of…. Yeah you get the picture. Horrible. What like 5 cards total? The coins too like 500 a game. Seriously? I’m not spending more money on packs. Not happening. Don’t get me started on some of the gameplay too. That’s another rant. So I hope starting Friday the rival/squad battle reward system reappears in some new form. Otherwise no reason to continue to play HUT for any casual/offline player. There’s just not enough rewards for the time you’d try to put into it. I can’t be only person feels this way??Cup Chase is sooooo bad.
So since I’m more an offline player I usually just put on some music, better music than game music for sure, and just play a bunch of games. So when they talked about cup chase I thought cool something new. New doesn’t mean better people lol. I just finished my first play through of cup chase. The coins per game was ridiculous. The pack rewards were atrocious. The ending felt anticlimactic. The inability to change the period length is dumb. I get it a lot of people want to finish games quicker so they can just rush through them. Not everyone does that. I want to enjoy each game. Not blink and it’s over. Hell my first line, which apparently forgot what a line change was, stayed out there until the 10 min mark for a lot of games. Even with constantly spamming the change line button. When it was all over and winning championship I opened my rewards. Well rewards is a stretch. Hand full of mediocre cards and UT to boot. WTH?!? UT cards a rewards? Can’t even sell the best card I got even though I don’t need it. This needs to change for sure. Then to top it off since I’m bored I start another one and I got the same exact teams again?!?! How’s that happen? Are you telling me there’s only 9 other people playing HUT that I couldn’t get different teams? Well no one wants to constantly play the same teams over and over again. Last years system worked. There was no reason to change it. You did and not for the better. That being said cup chase is horrible and a whole year of playing that? For the rewards you get? Nope.
We need an explanation how ICONs and HEROs will work.
I mean, I like those cards but I dont want to buy them because I dont know if we can trade them for the next sets of ICONs and HEROs. Please tell us if they will work like Team builders last year? Or do we have to build them like normal MSPs? If we can't trade the old ICONs and HEROs to new ones, they will be such a bad value and not worth it. I'm not buying packs with real money until this is clear. EA_Aljo
