Cosmic Brainz is a melee and a ranged class, which can give him an advantage, but here is a few tricks to make you the best Cosmic Brainz out there.
1. When attacking other players using melee, try and sneak up on them when they aren't looking, you can get some extra hits on those Citrons.
2.When using melee, you have three punches before a slight cooldown. On you third punch, hold down the trigger until you are charged up all the way, an animation will be there to help, and sneak up on them when its fully charged. When you let go of the trigger, you will blast them into a portal, which should be an instant death.
3. Use the laser! It's there to help, but don't use it too much, if someone if right next to you, kick them away and keep using that laser, or charge up your punch and get an instant kill.
