If your save files are older, and you remove them from your local saves, but then redownload that same save file from your cloud saves, that won't help improve any lagging your seeing in-game as you'll be downloading that same save file again from your cloud storage. 

Instead, if you're seeing a lot of lagging or FPS drop in your game, please run through all the steps in the FAQ here as well as the steps in this guide.
