The residence selection command does not appear

I started the Legacy Challenge, but I can't select the required vacant lot of more than 50x50 in any world.
I can't even select a large house, and I can't see the details.
I was prompted to restart the game once, and when I did, a selection button that allowed me to make a vacant lot of more than 50x50 appeared, so I was able to proceed, but when I started a new game again, the same problem occurred again.
This time, restarting and uninstalling it didn't fix the problem.
How can I solve this?
I'm playing on PS5.

    Hi jasminnejasminne

what I meant was that if you start a new save game for testing purposes, do you have the same issue there too or is it limited to that specific save game ?

Is that some kind of error message or what does the banner thing say ?

I've started a new game many times, but each time the same problem occurs and I can't progress any further.

As I mentioned in my first post, the only time I was able to progress was when I was prompted to restart the game and did so (probably a Sims Delivery update?).

However, it only worked that once, and restarting the game as described above when the problem occurred in a new game did not resolve the issue.

The banner in the photo says "You do not have enough money to buy this lot."

The only time I was able to progress, I was able to select this house and clear the lot.

    OK.

Do you have enough money to buy the lots ? I just started a save from scratch and get the same if I don't. You do seem to be on the move in screen.

You can try the freerealestate cheat so you can buy any lot without having the money.

    1. While on the map where you move a Sim in into a home (like your screenshot), open cheat console (however you do that on console)
    2. Type: freerealestate on (you don't need testingcheats so it should not affect your trophies)
    3. Hit enter
    4. The lot should now turn into a green one that you can buy.

If you just wanna build on that lot, just move them in to a cheaper lot they can afford and then go back to the map from there and enter the lot in build mode from the map.

Thank you for your detailed reply.crinrict

I tried it right away and got the error message shown in the image. What should I do?

    I have §20,000.

Hm, weird that it cares about testingcheats on console.

If you're not concerned about trophies, enter the cheat testingcheats first to enable them. If that doesn't work, try testingcheats on or testingcheats true.

If you are concerned about trophies, move them in somewhere, then use the motherlode cheat to get enough money (that def doesn't need testingcheats). Then move them in.

    Thank you.crinrict

I want the trophies, so I'll try the second method.

I don't know how to transfer trophies, so could you please explain the steps for the second method in detail?

Also, if I use testingteats on, will I no longer be able to earn trophies in new games after that?
