I would like to ask you for your help.
My game The Sims Medieval keeps downloading and never really finishes because it starts downloading from the beginning. It happend about 5-6times.
I already tried cleaning cache as admin and restarted my pc but with no change.
@Evicka610 are you installing for a disk or the EA App?
I'm having the same problem, and it seems lots of people are. I'm downloading on a PC on the EA app. It downloads over and over again and never installs.
Same here... I got nostalgic yesterday and finally bought it from the EA app instead of cracked pirated versions and it just downloaded again and again for 3 hours ;-;
And the same is happening today as well... i even made a video and am currently trying to find a way to contact support but it doesn't seem like they have a legit support team... bruh :/
I was able to report it to EA on live chat in their help centre. If they receive several reports they may look into it, so the more people who report it the better. I let them know that other games are downloading and installing successfully, but this one isn't.
I tried contacting EA support but (as expected) they couldn't help me either. After googling for HOURS I found a fix for this, but it's pretty complicated. I followed the instructions in this link https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/DipStaged-game-files/m-p/12310842 (downloading python, running the script etc.). I had to run this fix a few times until I noticed the launcher still tried to download one specific file in an endless loop. The file is called "SASFullBuild2.package" and is located at The Sims Medieval\GameData\Shared\Packages. So I guess the download for this one file is broken. I asked a friend of mine, that has The Sims Medieval installed, to send me this one file and voilà, it worked, I can play the game again.
Your method seemed to work, but as you said the SASFullBuild2 is insistent on being downloaded. Would you be somehow able to provide working file?
I'm having the same problem, do you mind sharing that file?
