Re: Sims 4 website not loading

The problem started when the site moved from thesims.com to the stupid ea.com/games/the-sims.  Page is supposedly loaded but it's just white. And most of the ea.com stuff is the same. I've also stated that I'm using Internet Explorer, is the browser no longer supported? Why can't I get a simple answer instead of all the 'troubleshoot' questions.

    @zprogram

The site is supposed to work for Internet Explorer, if that is what you want for an answer. (This is also the first thing I wrote in my last post)

I do NOT work for EA, I'm just another player with a similar problem, and I thought that if you told me more about your problem we could give this info to EA and then they might find out what is wrong with our browsers, or their site. I know for a fact that the site work for other people on IE, that's why I'm asking if your page acts the same as mine?

This is a Player to Player forum, if you do not want a player to answer, I suggest you go look for support somewhere else, like EA Support😇

  • I'm aware it's a Player to Player forum and I do appreciate your help. (definitely more help than their 'support' gives) The EA 'support' is focused toward game problems and I don't have problems with the games, it's there official sites that are bugged up. They 'load' but don't display anything, just a blank white page. (3rd time I said it).  Your problem is similar, but I can't copy/paste anything and my cursor changes only in the upper left of the screen. You asked for: Internet: Charter/Spectrum  Location: USA  and hell, here's my OS: Windows 7,  as well.

Everything working fine until Nov. when their sites migrated.

  • Reset doesn't do anything. I didn't think it would anyway, as I haven't changed any of my settings.

  • Another month and still nothing is going on. Fix your sites EA.

I've also been having this same problem but with Google Chrome. The screen on EA's website is just white and I don't know what to do.

Did you try clearing your browser caches ? Does it work on other browsers ?
  • Yes and No. Sims 4 website (and other ea.com) hasn't been viewable since November.

So for you it's just about not working on IE 11 ? Is there a reason you don't wanna move on to something else ?

Cause yeah, it doesn't load for me either on IE 11 but I have no issues with chrome or any other browser

  • Yes and the site worked perfectly fine before they decided to shift it to the new ea.com address. I don't see any reason to browser hop just for ea when every other site I go to works without problems.

@zprogramSorry for not getting back sooner, we have confirmation that IE11 isn't supported on ea.com forums.

If you want to stay within the MS browser family you can try updating to Edge.

@Meep62 Please let us know how you get on after clearing the cache. If you have no luck with this can I check what version of Chrome you're on? Yo see this you can click the dots in the top left for your options, then choose Help > About Google Chrome

    Thanks.

  • Migrating sites and dropping support... Nice. Guess I can mark this as solved after 7 months of nothing. The community was more helpful and at least trying to solve the issue.

Clearing my cache didn't work. I checked and I have Google Chrome version 66.0.3359.139. Also, I found out some pages on the site work but most don't, and sometimes when I scroll down on the pages that don't work it shows me something for about a second.
