Re: All Households And Builds Wiped From Library

@PurpleDyed  I’m sorry to hear about your trouble with The Sims 4. It seems there might be a misunderstanding regarding the game’s save systemThe Sims 4 does not feature cloud saving, which means that game progress, including saves and user data, is not automatically carried over to another computer or stored in the cloud, even when logged into your Steam or Origin account.

The ‘Tray’ files are essentially the local save files for individual Sims and lots that you’ve created or downloaded. If these files are deleted or not backed up manually, they won’t appear in your library after reinstalling the game. To ensure your content is saved, you would need to manually back up these files to an external storage service like Dropbox or OneDrive.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

@PurpleDyed  When you save a household or build to your library, this creates several corresponding files inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray.  These files and the data they contain are not duplicated anywhere else, either on your computer or on EA servers, unless you also save the content to the Gallery.  So if you delete the Tray folder, or the folder it's in, you lose that data.
