We're currently investigating an observed hard freeze that can occur if running The Sims 4 on the Snapdragon X Elite 64bit ARM CPU while running on DirectX 9.

While we investigate, I would encourage you to follow the steps here on enabling DirectX 11 and let us know if that resolves the issue for you.
