This going to sound really sutpid and it's a real douche of a way to play but grab yourself two R-99's, at least blue extended mags on both, a stock, barrel stabalizer and a crud load of light ammo and hang back behind your team. A loose follow. Wait for them to start fighting and just start peppering people with your R-99's.

One runs out of ammo? Switch weapons and start peppering them with your second R-99. Both out of ammo? Duck out for three seconds and reload both and go back to peppering. Light weapons almost instantly swap when swapping weapons and they have the fastest reload time of any other weapons in the game. Run and gun with your team. Shoot the ones that aren't focusing on you. Sure it's a douchey way to play but it'll get you used to the fast paced nature of Apex and soon enough you'll be running the more precise weapons.

A super long ranges you won't stand a chance running two light weapons but if you're having trouble with your accuracy then SMG's with extended mags are the way to go. R-99 has 30 bullets per mag with level 3 extended so that's 60 bullets without the need to reload if you run two of them. Again, it's a horrid way to play but it forces you to react quicker and play faster.
