INTEL EXTREME QUADS and XEON X5-- QUADS are getting locked out of Apex launch.
This is kind of ridiculous, considering the same people are playing PUBG, Black Out, Fear The Wolves, H1Z1, Fortnite, etc. problem-free.
A sizeable number of players are still rocking some jacked-up Intel Extreme Quads and Xeon Quads that work quite well in modern AAA shooters.
Performance-wise, my PC downstairs uses this Xeon X5470 rolling at 3.8Ghz with an Rx 580, 16GB of system ram, and it usually tears-up games at High/1080p -- even demanding stuff like recent Assassin's Creed and RE2 remake. I'm trying to get Apex going for my son to play along.
Is it a case of not supporting a specific SSE instruction set? That's rather obscure and ineffective tech QA, if it's the case!
You should have retrocompatibility, as it's not a completely expired generation of SSE in the aforementioned chips.
Even those who updated their Intel Extreme and Xeon microcodes via Bios update.
Guys, changing languages has no effect whatsoever for people with Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors currently these and AMD Phenom have really big issues, people with core 2 can't even enter the game, people with phenom can;t load in maps, both cpu's have SSE4.1 not SSE4.2, even tho they could run Titanfall 2 fine and other games, there needs to be a fix from the devs like they did with No man's sky and Mass Effect Andromeda and other titles, some like Assassins Creed Origins didn't even get a fix .
So:
Origin + game reinstall = NOTHING
Video driver reinstall update = NOTHING and might * up your lighting in Resident evil 2 (use nividia 399 for that)
Windows reinstall= waste of time
Tinkering with anticheat=NOTHING
Your best hope is to buy a new CPU or wait for a fix, I know it sucks but for now it's the only way if you have Core 2 Duo/Quad.
- Xeon have this problem too.
- Yep this seems to be the issue.
