I believe his point was that if you put a price tag on the game, then hackers will think twice about cheating. Granted, yes they will buy hacks, however right now you are looking at what, $25 for the hack? Add in another $10 for the battle pass..  But if you put a price tag of say $40/$50 on the game, they now have to come out of pocket for $75 to $85 everytime they are caught hacking.

But I agree, this is not going to STOP the hacking problem. There are people out there that will dump hundreds of dollars into a game to ruin it for others... But, this would decrease the number of hackers in any given game. That 13 year old kid who thinks it's "fun" to hack won't be doing so if they have to hit their parents up for $40/$50 a week for the same game.

But there is a huge downfall to this as well. The 50+ million players the game has now would crumble to a fraction of that size.

    I think that it should be free for the existing players but pay to play for new accounts. This way, if someone is caught cheating and wants to create a new account to cheat again, they would think twice.

    Many cheaters are not rick people !

    Take Asian servers, many kids who cheat spend like $2 in Internet cafe for whole night.

    Some pay $1.5 per day to rent a hack.

    Anyway, I am not sure what Fortnite is like, it has a big player base as well.

    I never played it, if someone could tell me if there are cheaters or not ?

    Register your phone number, as well as your national ID number, and your credit card number together to create your Origin ID so that each of the EA Origin ID truly weighted something, otherwise those Origin IDs are just too free to register, there isn't any weight on it.

    If it is this free, then it is also this cheap.

    You see, large firms like EA, from US, are International brands. It is like, the US people created something, then sell them to the other 200 countries on this planet. But the US side are not doing very good. Devs from US don't know much about rest of the world.

    EA created this free platform, so people all over the world could register and play the games, and to cheat. But if you localize the services to China, as well as other countries, everyone need those personal infos to register.

    Take Blizzard, I only play on China server. And if anyone who had played on Blizzard Asian servers, and NA and EU servers before, could tell me, what is it like to register a Blizzard Battlenet account ? Do they ask your phone number, cradit card number and ID numbers to register ? Just wondering.

    I know those are different games from differents company.
    But i do play ALOT of Overwatch, and in like 2000 hours i meet ONE only hacker.
    With around 400hrs in Apex, i can't even count how many times i meet hackers snapping target to target in millisecond wiping entire team after team.

    It will never append that Apex will be P2P, but if it does, i'll happy to pay 40-50$ and actually enjoy the game. On S6 i just left because is getting ridiculous.

    @Wild-XIII true you can feel how in the first week after every season, they're testing their hacks if they still work like intended. After 2-3 weeks the cheaters are mostly bored and you stop seeing a cheater every game then its just every 5 to 10 games. What the anti p2p don't understand is that hacks are free out there and if you can just make new accounts they won't care. 14 years old Timmy just wants to destroy people and have fun. He doesn't care if he needs a new email after this. The people who pay that much money for an undetectable hack are streamers and people who show off with their account. but the cheater problem could be easy solved with a working matchmaking system.
