ya maybe but there was a team of three just beside the building i was climbing up and they could have flanked me and i might not have been shot climbing the building to help my teammates because of the other team that might have flanked me fighting the sniper team down the road. faced with the proposition of fighting two teams alone or keeping my team alive i chose to try to keep them alive and got shot in the process.

i was squished between two enemy teams and also my team was dying that would have meant i was fighting alone,  it was not good three ways.

if she had a gibraltar shield or bangalor smoke  too i might have made it up the building.

    @gg123xyz I get you man. She's a support character designed to complement your teams movements or lack thereof. In the opening fight that started just as everyone's feet his the ground, you've got to really work to make terrain work in your favour. Skulltown/repuslor/relay etc would all be better choices for a Wattson as they're less open. Someone with the fences would be a nightmare to follow through skull as you can put your pylons either side of a doorframe where they can't be seen/shot from the outside.

    She's heavily situational - but that's part of the design. I've only played her a little as it doesn't suit how I play. When I did play I zoned out a full team with fences. One of 3 actually made it into the zone through the canyon east of bunker, and he was so low my teammate 1shot him when he got to the zone boundary.

    Only Wattson and Caustic can do that

    @gg123xyz She can have a bangalore smoke or gib dome - you just need your team to play either of the other characters. Just like they can have Wattson's 3x ults to recharge shields and not get nadespammed etc.

     you never know. this isnt a religious or scientific experience its a game and i think, if i ask maybe, maybe they might say ok, well buff wattson and shell kick * and take names and youll be happy. thats what i hope happens.

    Wattson is similiar to Caustic, she is good for defense, not offense. She doesn't offense or escape ability.

    In your situation, you set up defense in close area, ask your team mate to crawl there, let them come to your term, until they give up or move on. 

    If they kill your team mate, simply wait it out until they move on.

    Note:

    There's reason people doesn't thrist, they want down enemy as bait so their mate team mate come in a rush, like 911 call, in panic emergency mode and blew up all the strategy out of the window , simply rush in and die easily in the process.

    I don't agree that Wattsons fences are useless. As mentioned before I think they just need to be tactically positioned to be effective, so the base cannot be shot. 

    In some scenarios this is easier said than done but then you just don't set it up there. Likewise to some legends the fences are not an obstacle (Wraith, Pathfinder etc) but then everything needs a counter. Going back to getting shot it's exactly the same as Caustics trap and if they are planted in the open they are shot just as easy, if not easier. 

    In regards to her ultimate you could argue it's not spectacular early/mid game but come end game and dealing with grenade spam it serves a purpose. That and the fact I've heard they are stackable so you could have 3 all charging your shields quicker makes it useful, not forgetting they charge instantly with the ultimate accelerant.

    @WHITEyy6969 Actually the rate of shield charge isn't affected by how many pylons you place down... And now since she also got another nerf, her ult lasts for like a minute and thirty secs, ruining her... Her fences don't deal a lot of damage even if you arranged them in a manner that is supposedly "strategic"... You would put them there and enemies walk through with only 14 or 21 shield broken not making much if a difference... Look at caustic, his traps deal a lot of damage, they slow down enemies and are triggered if a legend comes within its range, wattson's fences are visible for all to see you can't hide them... Unless you stand in between the nodes turning off the fences... But once you move it takes 2 secs to get back up and running and enemies can attack... Her pylon doesn't register nades if they touch the ground before reaching the pylon, it only covered for aerial attacks... But revenant's tactical works perfectly fine around it... It doesn't block caustic ult or caustic's traps when they are thrown around it, bangalore's smoke isn't blocked, octane's ult isn't blocked, even if it's thrown, nor does Gibraltar's tactical... Crypto's drone can fly around the pylon, and yet you believe it's still fine? The ult needs a fair buff that won't be to OP. I was proposing that wattson's ult be given a buff, maybe it can slow down enemies and jam all enemy tactical within its vicinity and only 1 can be placed at a time, if Crypto's drone is nearby it'll get a radar or comm jam not destroying it... Gibby's shields won't work, mirage's decoys jam and glitch, lifeline's drone heals slower than usual and caustic traps don't deal damage to fences or pylons... If the fences were to be buffed there should be a damage and durability increment, or increase in place able fences to 16. The fences can also be controlled by wattson, as in whether they're active or inactive, and her passive allows her to heal shields overtime or faster, basically a full character remake like mirage's
