Re: Frame rate drops down when moving mouse

Hmm. I just plugged in a keyboard with a trackpad and used the mouse rate checker to see what it would report. I zig zagged around the screen as frantically as possible and found that I could only get it to report up to 75 or so. It may be the combination of that lower report rate and that it's not using the USB like the mouse is, so the USB interrupt issue combined with a high report rate starts to sound likely...

If you're mouse is currently set to 500 drop it down to 250, it's the most common report rate for mice and the standard for most games anyway. I would still double check it with the mouse rate checker just to make sure it's set. It may also be worth doing the same with trackpad just to compare it's report rate to the mouse.

Here's the mouse rate checker link again, it might have formatted weird in the last post. Just swipe your cursor around the screen as fast as possible and watch the numbers on the right side of the screen.
