Re: How do I fix an invalid EA account?

I logged in to your help with my PSN credentials, that are the same as my origin credentials, and got told by your own support staff i need to log in with my PSN credentials, i might as well stared at the wall for 20 minutes for all the help that was.  i just want to play now, ive reset all passwords concerned (in its self is a massive pain in the *, now i have muliple passwords for accounts a rarely log into, so thats fun next time) and the problem wasnt solved. I am still waiting for even a single email from EA thats not a survey also.

Again, this could have been dealt with weeks ago, but i cant pass security on an account i use every day, and have every piece of security infomation for, because you guys are telling me its a different email... which it isnt. and never has been.

  • Still no support from EA,

still no emails, over a week now,

still no ability to speak to anyone at EA help, no phone, email or live chat support for about a week now,

still no support on here from EA, just repeating the same solution that DOESNT work for everyone...obviously

well done guys fantastic customer support as usual...

So based on EAs record do i have to PAY for someone to fix this issue?  I mean its cool i love not being able to join friends playing the game when were all locked up, and cant go out...

If nothings sorted by the end of today its being uninstalled and EA can get f**ked as far as i can be arsed to deal with ur server security for an account that has no reason to be under such pointless security.

Can anyone at EA actually point me to a contact point of someone at EA? why is ur support so bad?

Most folks who are posting are doing so on accounts with no Apex PS4 history, so your game will be associated with a different account on a different email address. So you'll need to log out of your current accounts as these have nothing to do with your "invalid" EA accounts that are leading to this issue.

If you log into help.ea.com using the PSN login widget you'll be logged into help.ea.com on the right EA account. You can then try this link: https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index You'll either be brought to a page which shows your partially obscured email address, or you'll have a login page, again showing the partially obscured email address.

Once you submit a password change you can check that email address for the reset mail, though you may need to recover it from your provider.

There are also some other steps here which can help with finding your email address: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/find-your-ea-account-email-address-using-your-game/

@dallen788 There is no requirement for an EA account to be linked to the same email as a PSN ID. You could hypothetically have PSN ID with a gmail.com address linked to an EA account with a hotmail.co.uk account.

Also, you could have an EA account that's linked to that same gmail.com address that is not linked with the PSN ID.

David, the e-mailadres that was used to play all my ea games was an e-mailadres that has been deleted for almost 10 years because it was hacked.. the games I’m having issue on logging on to are battlefield 1 and battlefield V.. there isn’nt any option for me to log off or manage my account. What am I supposed to do? Just stop playing? Nobody offers clear answers and that’s why everyone’s frustrated because day after day nothing changes

  • @EA_David I have setup a hotmail account to try and move this stupid crap along, thought i might be able to jank the system if i moved everything. But no, swapping emails didnt work, changing passwords didnt work.

The email that came up from ur link, the email on this account is my gmail account, same as my PSN email, i still dont see how that is meant to help free my game up?

I have being playing Apex since it came out on PS4 no problems, this literally changed 1 day to the next, 1 day it worked, the next it was invalid.

Again i will ask this question... how, if ur staff (now uncontactable) cant tell me what email address Apex is using to work, how am i meant to find that out? Again, i will say, that for over 10 years at least now i have had only 1 gmail account i dont spend my afternoons pointlessly making email accounts just to confuse u guys when this crap happens...

also i would like to say every EA post on here seems to place blame completely on the customer, it MUST be our fault its not working, 'yeah yeah u guys and ur email address, just reset ur passwords' But i didnt change detail, install anything, nothing at all changed my end, how can it be my fault?

At least customers being made to fix their own problems fits nicely into EAs policy to bend its customers over for as much as possible.

@StefanMsk2  @nickman791  If the account in question is no longer available to you, please use this form: https://help.ea.com/account-recovery/web-form

@dallen78 You may want to use a new browser or use incognito mode, perhaps login data for your non-Apex account (dallen788) is being saved. By logging in fresh with the PSN account there's no way the dallen788 gmail account should show up. You should see a different username for your EA account too, one that's very similar to your PSN ID.

I appreciate that this is frustrating, and I'd love to just be able to share the email addresses, but unfortunately there are strict rules in place.

To add, I'm not here to assign blame or anything like that, I just want to get as many folks back into the game as possible.

@iLoveyouTofriend Hi, anyone who has played Apex on PS4 will already have had an EA account created and attached to their PSN ID.

However this can have happened a long time ago (with an older EA game, for example) and you may have forgotten/lost access to the old account and/or the email address it's associated with. If you log into help.ea.com using the PSN login option and use your affected account, it'll log you into the old EA account. From here you can use the link above to find the appropriate mail. If you have access to this email address, you can just reset your password.

If you no longer have access to this email address you can use the recovery form linked in this post.

  • I have been trying to sort out my account being invalid. It appears that an email was used that I no longer have access to and I have requested a recovery. It has been weeks now and i still do not have resolution. I created this account thinking I could just sync the Xbox to this account but haven’t been able to (still says account invalid). I have tried to recover the existing EA account and requested that it be linked to this email instead but I’m being told now that the email is already in use. I just want to have access to my EA games online and it shouldn’t be this hard or long of a process to resolve. It feels like I’m being ripped off and not getting the product as described.

  • @EA_David Yeah still didnt work, thought incognito mode had done the trick, even had to relog on psn when i turned it back on but no. And also no, i do not have an email thats close to my psn id username. Tho I believe i might have set my PS3 up with 1 maybe think my email was something like that at the time. Is this the problem, why my emails dont match? i changed my email account years, a decade even before i even installed apex lol. im pretty sure ive had a slew of other EA titles in that time, and linked my account to origin so i mean, what? why is this a problem now?
