I've got 600+ hours in the game too.
I got 90+ FPS most of the time in game.
Now it drops as low as 50 every time when I look towards the middle of the map, towards the area of the fallen Skull Town.
I tried to lower the settings further, it does not matter, I turn everything to lowest except textures and texture filtering, does not matter.
It does not matter wether there are objects/anything/walls blocking your view, it drops. You would think that when there are huge objects blocking your view towards Skull Town area it would not affect you performance because they don't have to be rendered, but somehow it does affect. Weird.
For example, land in Watertreatment, and look towards Repulsor, 100+ FPS. I turn to the direction of the now destructed Skulltown, it drops sometimes even till the 50s.
Last week I played I did not have this issue. Today I wanted to play and the game had an update. I don't think that its a coincidence. When season 5 started the game was smoother than ever, now the drops and lag in some areas of the map are so bad they are borderline unplayable.
Observing my OSD statistics, I think there is something going on in around the old skull town area/air field that puts a huge strain on our CPUs.
Please fix it or just revert what you did in the recent mini patch. I just bought the Bloodhound+Lifeline edition on sale before jumping into a game. If I'd have known that the last update hurt performance this much...
