Unable to Update Game??

Hi, Im going to keep this brief since I'm running low on patience. I have been wanting to get back into Apex for a while now, and I finally decided to open it up. It said an update was required, and then I started it. At 11 AM, the update began. The progress was steady until it came to a halt at 8.82 GB. Now, I understand that updates can have 'hiccups' in their progress. However, it is currently 4:30 PM, and it is still at 8.82 GB. This is infuriating, considering that I still have it going in hopes that it starts up again, but my pc has been rendered useless because of Origin being constantly open. My wifi connection has been stable, and I can't find any internal issues. Is there anything any of you can help me with?

Edit: It is initializing/preparing, not even downloading.
