Hey, @AqunyanMyFav @MamaLaaaaaaaaamy You you try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with APEX and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.
Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

WHY IS THIS ALWAYS YOUR GOTO ANSWER? IS THIS THE VERY FIRST PAGE OF WHAT TO REPLY BOOKLET?
CLEAN REBOOT DOES NOTHING FOR NO ONE EVER! WHEN IT COMES TO APEX LEGENDS.I TOO HAVE THIS ISSUE USING STEAM AS THE LAUNCHER, IT NEVER CLOSES!!! EVER!!!
IT DOESNT EVEN APPEAR IN TASK MANAGER BUT STEAM REPORTS ITS STILL RUNNING.
YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY REBOOT YOUR MACHINE TO CLOSE IT, OR EVEN PLAY IT AGAIN!!
OH YEAH AND THE FOREVER BS EZANTICHEAT ERROR 30005 IS COMMON PLACE AS WELL.
EA/RESPAWN IS A COMPLETE JOKE! CHEATERS IN RANKED, CHEATERS IN EVERY DROP! YOU DO NOTHING!!
GET YOUR FACE OUT OF YOUR LIL CHEAT SHEET YOU HAVE TO REPLY TO PEOPLE AND ACTUALLY FIND A SOLUTION TO YOUR CRAP GAME!

AGAIN GET YOUR HEADS OUT YOUR CHEATSHEETS AND GET SOME REAL TECH SUPPORT

I'm having the same issue, 2500k. rather an old cpu.
- @EA_Atic Same issue here. r5apex.exe process is closed, but steam thinks that game is still running. Tested multiple times, always after joining game for second time locks one of my CPU cores to 100% even when game is closed and only restart helps, you gotta fix ur stuff EA. It has nothing to do with apps like u say, always blame anything but ur game, its either game itself ur ur third party anticheat is doing all this. All my friends complaining with same issue witth different systems. No fix so far or proper answer just 'put in rice' logic by EA or turn off turn on again
i7-8700k 4.9ghz + 6700xt all latest drivers. yes.. literally been hapening and this is new for steam user... NOT completally closed after closing the game.. need restart PC to open again.. people always get a technical issue in apex no matter what season the game is... for me , we need to wait some time to completaly closed but yes it is annoying
