- @EA_David So I guess that begs looking at the question from another angle... Are any of the single fire guns capable of going over the standard click fire rate using alternative inputs? Also what defines "standard rate".
I posited a question along these lines last year at some point, it didn't get near the attention of this thread though. Like OP, I too use a G502 as my mouse, and have also wondered about the ethical ramifications. I played around early on with scroll firing, but found it ineffective as it just felt unnatural. Regardless, whether scrolling standard (let's assume 10-12 "clicks", or with the wheel unlocked, firing a single shot weapon with the scroll wheel will effectively max the fire rate of the weapon. I would think that someone with a twitchy index finger could probably click their way to the max as well...
Ergo...
Is the standard rate at which someone could conceivably click fire higher, or lower, than any given guns max single fire rate?
If I someone can wail a finger on a mouse button and reach the max fire rate of a p2020, does it matter if someone else achieves the same result by flicking their scroll wheel? - @EA_David So I understand that it's ok to use a marco for rapid fire a single fire weapon as long it done exceed the normal rate ?
- @maximas1986 I am confused cuz each weapon has a set fire rate. Does that mean people can still go past it?
- @BaldWraithSimp Yes , there is scripts that can make any single fire weapons (rifles only) shoot like it's on auto , it will sound different and the and doing that will almost cancel any recoil as the weapon is used in single fire not auto but the outcome is auto like rapid fire
And by the way the scrip will let setup how many bullets per second that you can shoot @BaldWraithSimpOk ,so until now no one said that using anything like (macros or scripts ) is prohibited as long it does not (go above the standard) of anything .
So I will take it as that it's allowed to use devices that can use such scripts to give me the ability to use single fire weapons with one trigger pull ,
It's the same as using a macro on a mouse that have a free spin scroll wheel so it keep shooting this single fire weapon (rapidly).
Now I know why they are not doing anything to all the preds who is using such devices and scripts (becuase it's allowed )Thank you 🙂
- @maximas1986 Macros is prohibited. Adding any kind of automated inputs is cheating. The free scrollwheel doesn't read input according to the OP btw.
Besides whatever Preds are doing on console is not my concern as I never watch any console players nor I can say that they are cheating because again, I never watched them in the first place lol - @BaldWraithSimp I have no idea what the rule changes are for console as far as I know single fire is not possible with a controller unless you have a firepack or whatever they call it. Basically a modded controller, witch is banned in a completive setting in apex. I have no idea if it actually effects recoil on controllers if you spam single fire, but considering there is aim assist anyways. Who knows.
- @maximas1986 In the TOS it says no use of 3rd party software, so making a macro can still be in violation. From a hard code perspective, single firing the gun does not give you an advantage for aim. It gives a phycological advantage, Its weird, enough so that it has to be brought into question of weather or not its actually cheating. Hence why I started really asking in the first place. Also, I don't think preds really care, they get upset because they think it's a macro, and that's the whole idea. But honestly if you were to really macro a 301, it does not affect how the gun actually works. Honestly, I think it would be the first thing the Devs would think of when designing any gun in the first place.
@BaldWraithSimpFar as I know, only can be achieved by glitching the gun. Most cases done by animation canceling. (All patched) And people who abused that are banned. But firing the gun as fast as possible? Not going to break the gun. Also, The CPS that you need for both 301, flatline, hemlock, all of them are humanly possible to fire that fast. There are people that can do it, but I would prefer not to mess up my hands by clicking like that. Especially over sustained periods it takes a lot out of a person.
- @blkarmphoenix None of the single fire guns will go passed the rate from what I have tested, if we are to defined "standard rate" it would be above auto. Or would also be undercutting reload times. Firing your gun as fast as possible is not going to do this.
As for ethical ramifications, I'm all to aware that this could lead to some interesting developments. It has been talked about in other games but not really this one. Some games do ban the uses of using scroll wheel to fire guns. The G502 is even banned in some completive settings.
But the way apex's guns are designed, most account for the spam single fire, it is with in human limits. You will come across people that can fire the guns that fast. But the reason you don't see it everywhere is that it gives no advantage over aim. Now I could be wrong, EA dev can clear me on it if I am. But when you auto each bullet adds to the kick back of the gun. So if you single fire, at a high rate (Auto) its the same. Some guns do fire slower on single. There is a built in cap for each gun clicking fast wont break that. - @EA_David you need to watch his clips and yt videos. this is clearly exceeding normal fire rate, but not only that, gives "impossible recoil" control (literally an option for reporting in game fyi) and is ONLY doable after changing in game files. surely this is considered an exploit by any and all EA and Respawn standards and to deny that shows lack of integrity and care for your own rules with cheating and abusing exploits
