Hi, thank you for the reply. I bought it from Indonesian Retailer "Tokopedia" which is where I am at and the country set in my EA account. It is one of the largest retailers in Indonesia and has a very good reputation. I have been in contact with them recently but they don't have any idea yet as to why the code didn't work. The code is a 10 digit number but in the example, it is a 16 digits alphanumeric code. Would there be a difference between a product key for games and for in-game items?
- @LaggerSpecialist An update. It seems like the code is for the US account only. Weird why they would sell it here. Is it possible to change your account region to apply the code? I am assuming not because it seems like an obvious loophole
- CarbonCarl4 years agoHero (Retired)@LaggerSpecialist Unfortunately not, only the retailer that sold you the code can exchange it for you but that would be their discretion. EA would never exchange codes for different regions.
The only alternative would be to sell/trade it but make sure it’s secure and legit if you choose to do that, something like eBay maybe, just don’t give away a code and not get paid. Did you ever solve how to get the code or not?
