Sony back button is hard to get used to. I got one a long time ago for playing Lucio in Overwatch, but could never get fluid with it. The assembly is just so large and changes the way the whole controller feels. My fingers would get really confused about L2 and R2 in particular. I got a scuf infinity pro and everything settled into place within a few days. Now I can use the dual shock with the back button assembly OK, but it still feels awkward.
- @pandareno1999 I had the same problem so I got rid of that thing immediately and got myself a C40 but maintaining this thing is so costly.
i use the same layout @Cheese9Man do , you will get used to it in no time and it will make you life easier - RockDokRock4 years agoSeasoned Ace
With my controller I've made the punch button circle and crouch left joystick down. So stick of constantly accidentally punching when I meant to do something else.
Took some getting used to but much better.

Ever so slightly off topic, however does anybody know if there's a paddle controller/attachment for ps5 yet?
- @MandatoryIDtag I've see video of a company that sells them(sold out) and another that sells a kit where you rip apart your controller to add underneath buttons.
- @pandareno1999 Took me about a month to get used to the sony attachment but works great for me.
@hayhor any chance you can DM me a link? 😛
- @MandatoryIDtag Sent.
@hayhor my lord I definitely won't be getting that build your own kit, my hands were not designed for soldering, sledgehammers etc are more in my realm of expertise xD
May have to bite the bullet and get that $300 one.
- @MandatoryIDtag I'd wait it out lol
@RockDokRock
I gave button puncher an honest try a while back, and muscle memory would absolutely screw me over and over again. Constantly canceling heals. I'm sure that I'd have gotten used to it, but I suspect you'll sympathize with my encountering the old dog/new trick syndrome when I change to something new that feels unnatural.
@hayhor
I really wish they could have made something less obtrusive. The feel of the paddle buttons themselves is top notch. I like using that controller when i play, like, platform stuff with my wife. But the precision and feel of everything else (thumb sticks, back material, digital triggers) is just so much better on the scuf. I use the DS in the range every now and then, and I wouldn't like to go back.- @pandareno1999 I dunno. My fingers rest perfectly on the buttons. And when my ds4 goes bad its movable to the new one. A scuff goes bad and it's what $200+?
