Why have I been banned temporarily for 7 days?
Hello. To whom this may concern, I have just recieved a ban for 7 days earlier this morning for “hateful conduct.” Now, initially when I seen this I was really confused because, i’m not one for engaging in conversation with anyone inside of Apex because I only play with people who I enjoy playing with. Only rarely will I queue by myself and, whenever someone says something obnoxious I always keep it at simple banter and casual talk. When I tried to review the ban, all it tells me is that I was banned for hateful conduct. It does not show you what was said to result in this or, if it was a false ban which is a little bit ridiculous. Then I tried to dispute it, and every time I tried to all it would do is take me back to see my bans to have me repeat the same process over and over again and make no progress, and then sometimes the website wouldn’t load and/ or crash and if this was something I could dispute/appeal, I would have no chance to do so. So then I tried to reach out to customer service over their phone line, and it told me I was going to have to wait a 40 minute queue before my call was answered. I sat there for almost an hour and ten minutes, and to no surprise no one ever ended up helping me out with my issue or answering my call. I would really like to get proper help with this, and not just relayed to some other website to go through more unnecessarily long processes that’ll just take me back to square one.
What i’m assuming the ban was for, was an individual me and my brother had gotten in ranked. He got himself killed even when we communicated we were going somewhere else, and as soon as he died from being split off I commented “Wow, nice one. Really talented” to which he insisted it was our fault because we ‘left him behind’ lol. Then we ended up dying of course, and he was talking sh*t to us as well mocking me with what I said to him when he died to which I told him in the text chat to (removed) and then I left the match. < Fun fact, I didn’t even spell (removed) correctly because i’m dumb lmao, I typed it with an “o” instead of a “u.” So it makes me laugh thinking that’s most likely the reason I got banned was because of that comment which is nowhere near hateful conduct, it’s a video game and people are known for talking (bad) to one another. It happens. (At least that’s what i’m assuming the ban for, I still don’t know because this website doesn’t disclose that type of information I guess?) Another thing is people are known for mass reporting small things like that through the apex report system so, I feel like this was highly over exaggerated and a 7 day ban is a little stupid, especially considering I had never been banned or recieved any warning prior whilst playing this game in 3 years of playing it. A warning would’ve been a little bit nice, maybe even a 24 ban would’ve been a lot more understandable than a 7 day one. 😐 I would like to get this resolved as again I feel like i’ve been unfairly banned and, if anyone could point me in the right direction and not have me running in circles like a headless chicken, I would appreciate it. I wanna get back to playing Apex soon! Thanks for hearing me out.
